I tried Bagelworks in my quest to somehow find a decent bagel in South Florida and I drove to their location out west and after one visit I've concluded that I have to keep on trying. Before reviewing the bagels there were already a few negatives about Bagelworks and they include; A line that is a little unorganized. And the store while not dirty, looks disheveled with no attention given at all to aesthetics. Okay I could deal with an ugly store out west (relative to where I live) and with unorganized queues but the bagels were just not worth it. They lacked NYC texture and consistency and were more bread like than authentic NY bagels. These bagels were not only not chewy and not airy but they also didn't have the right subtle blend of sweetness and saltiness. I also tried a Lox sandwich and this was almost as disappointing as the bad bagels. I'm not expecting Zabar's (and I didn't pay Zabar's prices) but I didn't expect the commercial grade salmon either. I love South Florida and I certainly do not miss the unethical and heartless politics of New York but I really miss NYC bagels. read more

Best Bagel in Boca and we have tried them all! And besides the bagels their food is excellent. We usually have breakfast Omelets, Bacon, lox and bagels , you name it we have ordered it. The food always comes out of the kitchen exactly as you ordered it, perfect! Service is great and the servers are always happy to serve you. Always with a smile. They also all help each other and you don't find that at many places. My only wish is that I could order my take home bagels at the table and not have to wait in line to do that before or after we eat. We never leave without bagels. read more

Do NOT put egg please, I cannot eat egg" Guess who gets to work with her to-go order and finds egg in her sandwich? Me, and I am DEATHLY allergic to eggs. I haven't had a chance to sit down for breakfast or lunch, my experience only has been with counter service. Hands down the BEST bagels, dare I say even better than a couple NY-best bagel joints. My go-to is everything bagel, toasted with veggie cream cheese. They do give you a generous portion of cream cheese, so if you're like me, get it on the side. I also like the slight crunch of the bagel bite against the smooth texture of cream cheese, so on-the-side is definitely the way to go. read more

Awful service. Didn't feel welcome, when being seated the hostess pointed to a booth and the proceeded to throw our menus onto the table without another word. Server spent no time at out table, we only saw her when she took our order or when she was picking up our plates. Had a very unpleasant disposition. I got the Turkey roast a turkey on an everything bagel and it was about a foot high - OK maybe not quite a foot but it was so big with lots and lots of meat lettuce -- tomato and onion if you want added for free! One of my friends recommended this place to go to lunch so we decided to give it a shot! I got the hot pastrami that was with Swiss cheese and grilled onions on a flat bread. It was great quality as well as quantity of meat, but I felt like it lacked a bit of sauce or perhaps needed some extra cheese. Still was a good sandwich although I preferred the matzo ball soup with noodles that was delicious. My friend got a Caesar salad which he said was very good and my boyfriend said they had one of the best bagels in town. Next time I think I would do the matzo ball soup with a bagel instead or ask for more sauce/cheese. The service was quick and it was pretty cheap as well especially for the quality. Our waitress was nice and polite despite it being super busy which I appreciated. Try to get here before the lunch crowd or you may have to wait in a pretty long line. Bagelworks is my favorite bagel place in America (and I have had quite a few bagels in my 30 years). Everytime we come down to Boca it's a must have. This time, due to covid I ordered a dozen bagels and two schmears to go (via their website). I believe they have curbside but I ran in and they were very prompt and quickly got me my order. They have bar none the best tuna and egg salad i have ever had. Their bagels are more on the 'doughy' side so I get them double toasted. My mom likes that you can get a scooped out bagel to save calories. I'm not at that point yet but I guess it's a good option. I promise you that you cannot go wrong getting either their tuna or egg salad. If I had a gun to my head I'd pick the tuna salad but I'd probably ask the assailant if they could also get me a pound if egg salad to go. read more

Great breakfast and lunch spot off of exit 75 on the N. Turnpike. This is a pretty large space with plenty of out door seating as well. They are clean all around. I especially appreciate the new and clean condiment bottles. It doesn't look like the refill them which is great news because rarely anyone FIFOs condiments. The menu is huge and a little difficult to read but we each found something we liked. They offer everything you can imagine; bagels, toast, eggs, pancakes, waffles, french toast, sandwiches, panini, salads, bound salads, pastries and more. Helen was very attentive and super fast. This was my 2nd bad experience in my last 2 visits. I've been coming to BagelWorks for over 30 years, and usually pretty good all over experience, however, last week I ordered eggs and when I got them, they looked as if they were cooked on a dirty grill (they were dark colored - brownish) and not tasty. Then, this past Friday, we went for breakfast, and the place was filthy with flies....they need to do something about that, and my hot pastrami was "luke-warm" pastrami.....slipping. read more
