Terrible service. I have been coming here the past three years and everytime I come I have slow service but I like the bagels so I keep coming back. But today, I called in an order on my way to class, a bagel with cream cheese. That was it. I get there and there wasn't a line at all. But they had a totally different order under my name. Oh well, simple communication error. So I reorder and wait for my simple bagel. I waited for 15 minutes and about 8 other people ordered after me and they ALL GOT THEIR FOOD BEFORE ME. I then asked the guy making the bagels if he had an order for sam, (maybe he just didn't read my name aloud). He doesn't even look at me and barely whispers "I'll take a look", meanwhile, another worker goes to look for my bagel and finds it with the call-in to go orders! She finally gave me my bagel after 22 minutes of waiting for a simple flippin bagel! My bagel was cold and hard and I was late to class.will no longer be coming here and you have lost all of my service and I will be telling my friends!!! read more

This place has lots of options. The pastrami is very good! Service is a little slow but it is worth the wait.

Good local spot with fresh yummy bagels. This is a no frills - just the basics kind of place. Service can be spotty but they get you what you want. Big note: plain brewed coffee that you serve yourself. Pop in next time you're in the mood for a good ole bagel. read more

These guys have the best best bagels (I've been coming here for 20 yrs now). The works is delicious and the Asiago cheese is another fav. Toasted with their veggie cream cheese and tomato and onion and it is perfect. I have often been disappointed with bagels from Seattle to New York and in between cause bagel works has me spoiled. Almost gave them 4 stars cause they don't have lattes which is the perfect combo but not super charming seating or outdoor area but for what it is, they deserve the 5. read more

Im originally from New York where we do bagels regularly for breakfast. The bagels here are pretty good, although smaller than I am used to. I found the staff to be friendly, the manager was especially helpful and went out of her way to help me. At the end of the day it's really the only place in town worth having one at, just be prepared for some wait times. read more

Bozeman has a few places to get bagel sandwiches (Bagels Etc., Smiling Moose), but Bagelworks. With the prices so low, this place is unbeatable! Always super fresh, yummy bagels. I recommend the sausage, egg and cheese on an everything bagel or the turkey+tomato bagel sandwich. The place is usually super chill & quiet unless you happen to get there around noon on a weekday. Noon on a weekday means all of Bozeman High is coming to eat there, which is likely your personal hell. :) I wish they were open later in the day! read more

Front staff was really nice, but it took over 20 minutes just for two bagels. One came out hot and great and the other was harder and cold. My major complaint was that the cinnamon bagel I had clearly had been stored with onion bagels. Nearly every bite was a weird mix of string onion and cinnamon and and it just wasn't great. I'd think at a bagel place it would really be common sense to not get all of your flavors oniony. This place is awesome. They make bagels all through the day so you hardly ever have to worry about them running out. Very inexpensive too! Their homemade cream cheese flavored are to die for. I usually opt for two salt bagels not toasted with veggie cream cheese. My order is $5. However, on weekends my family gets a bakers dozen (7) for $5.05 and a tub of veggie cream cheese $4. They have great bagels, but the wait is just way too long. 32 minutes for my bacon, egg & cheese bagel. It was not during a rush as it was 10:45am. Only 2 other people in there, who were also waiting. Also, I love that they are fairly environmentally friendly, but the water glasses are always dirty. Lip and finger prints all over them. Bagel works is a reliable place to find a good bagel in Bozeman. The bagels are dense and definitely pre-boiled before they are baked! The flavors were good, a bit over priced with an average staff. Seems to be the only bagel shop in town with a little bit of room for improvement in taste and flavor. They ought to put more cheese on the asiago's and more cream cheese options. read more

I must admit, bagelworks makes some of the best bagels I've had! However, $7 for a bagel, lettuce & tomato? That's pretty outrageous. Apparently you don't have to graduate high school in order to work here. I don't think its that difficult to read a piece of paper that uses check marks... Obviously I am wrong. I've visited this establishment twice, and they've seemingly figured out how perfectly to keep me from returning a third time. My breakfast sandwich from the first time not only carried little to nothing on it, but was served to me cold. This last time, my sandwich was lacking ingredients I paid extra for, was tougher than a rubber spoon, and so dry I nearly choked on the two bites I had before tossing it in the garbage (even after dousing it with hot sauce to hopefully cover up the trash I was trying to consume). Even after going back for the micro-greens they forgot, I was given almost a pinch, for the "cook" was too lazy to open a new container and figured I wouldn't care paying for nothing. No thanks for the so called meal. You are not fresh, you're stale, and should take those rubbery rings and open up a tire shop for scooters. That seems more age appropriate for the clientele you've brainwashed into working there. Puke. read more

I eat here with some regularity, mostly because they are the only game in town though. Decent taste and quality but the service is very slow, yet there are at minimum 10 people working at any given time that I have been in. How long does it take to toast a bagel and slap some cream cheese on it?? Apparently a very long time at this place. Call ahead! Oh yeah and maybe you are into it but more times than not I have scraped close to 3 oz of cream cheese off to be able to taste the bagel. So I would not say this it exactly a road friendly snack. edited to add the following due to owner response. Yes you can request less but why would you put that much in the first place? I would also like to add that my friend and I got a breakfast bagel the other day and there was one miniscule piece of bacon per sandwich!?! I know times are tough but come on! Not kidding you, I actually thought they had forgotten it until I opened up my sandwich only to find the most scant little morsel of bacon I have ever seen on a supposed "bacon egg and cheese" anything. I am not sure if this regular practice now but a while ago it definitely wasn't. Which brings me to another downsizing annoyance. I know that money is tight for a lot of us but if you are going to reduce the size of your orange juice to half of it's former size, you should not charge the same price as the larger one. Bagelworks has a somewhat confusing layout and the bagels can be a little small. They are quite good, however, and the cream cheese they supply is more than adequate. The staple bagels (plain, cinnamon raisin, etc) tend to be the best. read more

I received the BEST customer service from Spenser at Bagel Works. The moment I walked in the door, he greeted me with the friendliest smile and attitude, and was the most polite person I have ever ran into in the food industry. His positive attitude was so refreshing and it was awesome seeing someone love their job so much! This guy deserves a BIG raise!! Worst service ever! For the second time in a row I have had a bad experience. First time they screwed up my to-go order. Second time I waited 25 minutes - yes, 25 minutes for ONE bagel with cream cheese. My bad for waiting but I was so invested in time already I continued to wait. Decent bagels but not worth the wait. The prep area is very disorganized and can't seem to manage to keep sandwiches in order. The order that orders are placed means nothing and his luck hearing when they finally call your order. Waited an hr for a bagel with an egg and cheese on it. One hour!! Went up to ask if we missed them calling our name-they lost our order and had to redo the order. They didn't comp our meal or anything. Then finally got food and it was cold! Not impressed. Not very good egg n cheese either-yuck. Won't be going back there. read more
