I really wanted to love Baguette Magic due to their glowing reviews, so I gave them a second chance. I was disappointed yet again! I ordered the egg white and cheese and was surprised to see a $2 upcharge on my receipt for egg whites instead of scrambled eggs. This was never communicated by the cashier who seemed to not want to be there. For $10, this sandwich was mostly bread with very little egg and wasn't worth the price. Just blah! Everything about Baguette Magic truly is magic, you cannot go wrong with anything they are making for you. We have been coming here for years, and they are only getting better and better. The quality of the food is so good and you can taste the TLC they put into each dish or pastry. If you live in James Island and have not been here, you must run there now!!! I was looking for a good breakfast sandwich and decided to try Baguette Magic on Folly Rd, James Island. The staff was friendly and service was outstanding. The menu had penty of great sandwiches that are a must try! You got to also try their fresh brewed coffees, it's a cup of eye opening goodness. We ordered a B.E.C. on a croissant to share, a cannoli latte with oatmilk and a caramelized banana latte. My cannoli latte lacked flavor and I could not taste anything related to cannoli. I discovered this place when I used to go to James Island. They have full service. I liked the one with loads of Brie I think it's the recovery one? I tried the West Ashley one too! The hours maybe it's better to open at 7am instead of 8am? It's kinda late to start and get some fresh coffee mostly it's open at 6-7am. The food was amazing! My mom walked in, planning to hate everything there. She walked out raving about the French toast. The bread was to die for! They were very busy, and the service was slow and rushed, but they were always polite. In the 40 minutes we were there, I never saw someone clean a table, and a lot of them needed wiped down.
