Always love coming to Bahama breeze. I got the veggie tacos, which uses the base for their veggie burger but in taco form. I also always gotta get their fries because they're always perfectly crisp and seasoned. We sat outside but not fully outside it was near the bar and the window-like garage doors were down so we got the sunshine but not the heat. Also got the ultimate Pina colada.

The food was great, especially for a chain restaurant. Service was pretty quick and our server was very helpful, even giving suggestions on what sides to order with each meal. The atmosphere is lovely, as it is all decorated to fit the tropical theme. My Bahama Mama drink was delicious and pretty strong! The salmon was cooked perfectly and I loved the combination of flavors. It's a bit pricey, but overall a pretty good experience!

The whole vibe and ambience is really fun and inviting. Our server, Caden gave us excellent recommendations and provided great service. The grilled fish was delicious and a beautiful presentation.

Tried again, had a much better meal this time around! Everything was fresh and I appreciated that! We were a large group of 12 this time around, our server handled the group very well, drinks were always filled, food came out correct and in a timely manner. The jerk pasta is my top favorite!

1.) Crab and three cheese dip I really didn't care for it at all. It was fresh but it just wasn't for me. Hard to eat & overall taste wasn't very satisfying 3/10 2.) Jamaican jerk chicken The chicken, sauce and rice was good but the beans were just ehh. 5/10 3.) lobster and shrimp linguine It was fresh as everything else was. The shrimp was the best part, the sauce didn't have much flavor in my opinion but overall it was okay. 7/10 4.) Yuca cheese sticks I would go back just for these! The sauce was delicious. 8/10 Service was great, our server was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is very welcoming and aesthetically pleasing. Makes you feel like you're on a mini vacay. I recommend for the experience, maybe just try different entree options.

We stopped in to Bahama breeze in Gainesville because we have stopped here before and enjoy the experience and food. We walked in with our three kids and asked for a table on the patio because we wanted fresh air. It was at 1:45 PM so the lunch rush was over and we looked outside and there were plenty of tables available. They had multiple four top, six top, high tops and approximately half the patio was still available. We asked for a highchair for our little kid and she said no there are no seats available outside that can fit you. We gave her a little push back and said to check again because we saw so many available. She completely lied to us for a reason I am not sure.. Another host had came over to seat us and gave us a place in the patio and was super nice. Our waiter was really good and friendly, and the food was mediocre. She was still there when we left, she turned her back so that she would not have to look at us as we left the restaurant. We will probably not come back to the restaurant for quite a while. There are so many other options available definitely customer service is Key!

Our food was really good. I ordered the salmon tostada salad. If ordered again, I would just eat the salad without the dressing because it was overall too salty between the salsa and chimichurri on top of it. Very tasty though. The virgin Bahama Rita was really good. Our server was very nice and super helpful.

    Coconut Shrimp Tacos

I tried Bahama Breeze for the first time this week and my experience was very 3-stars. Nothing was bad, it was all just ok. The wait staff was very friendly and wait time from entering to getting food was about 30 mins. My bf got coconut shrimp tacos ($13.49), I got a bacon cheddar burger ($14.49). The best part of both meals were the fries. The entrees I'd equate to Applebee's or Chili's type food (possibly from the microwave). I probably won't be back. I think I can find better food for the price point.

We had a nice group of 14 ride up to Bahama breeze for an early dinner out on the patio. The restaurant was very spacious inside and out, and had a colorful decor. The service was good and the food was very good. My wife had the tropical chicken salad and she loved it. I had the bacon cheeseburger with fries and it was very good. Others in our group had everything from ribs to steak and shrimp and a variety of other delicious dishes. I wish i would have remembered to take pictures of the dishes, but i was hungry and dove right in. I would highly recommend dining here and look forward to visiting again in the near future.

Really disappointing experience at this Bahama Breeze. We opted to sit at the bar, as that's usually quick and attentive service. That was the furthest from actuality. The bartender was not friendly at all, and we consistently had to track someone down for assistance. The food was so so. The shrimp tacos were heavy on some kind of mayo sauce which was unpleasant. But the drinks were good. Overall, just a blah experience here and likely wouldn't return.

The virgin margaritas in the pineapple were tasty, but overall the only island thing about it was a lot of pineapple offered.

We sat at the bar, and were greeted by one of the bartenders and took our drink order. We saw the fried blue crab claws, and figured we would give it a shot. Well, they were just okay, nothing that we would probably order again. Wife had the crab cakes and loved them, very good. I had the chicken and grits. I was excited until it showed up. I could tell just by looking at this super thin fried chicken, that it was going to be rock solid. I was right. The chicken was tough, chewy and stringy. It was cooked well past well done. I tried to eat it, I don't like to complain, but I could only get about 3 bits into it. I pushed it away. When one of the bartenders came by and was taking it away without even asking why an entire plate is being thrown away without hardly any food eaten. So I said it was way overcooked, and inedible, he didn't even respond, just took it and threw it away. No questions. No offer to get something else, just walked away. After that we decided we would go somewhere else, when we got the bill, it was still on there. That was very unprofessional, and I don't think we will be coming back anytime soon.

Gainesville Seafood, out on the Eastern end of town, is that place. It may not be the easiest spot to stumble upon, but that's part of its charm. This is the kind of hidden gem that loyal regulars keep quietly to themselves, the sort of place that feels like a reward for those willing to seek it out. The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious, the kind of no-frills setting that lets the food do all the talking. I went for a seafood platter, which was shrimp and fish with fries. They have a variety of different kinds of fish available that you can pick from, which is a nice touch. It gives the meal a sense of personalization that you don't always find at casual seafood spots. I went with the flounder, and it turned out to be an easy choice to feel good about. The platter was generously portioned, the kind of meal that leaves you satisfied without the need to contemplate dessert. All of it was excellent. The flounder was light and flaky on the inside, with a crisp golden crust that had clearly seen well-seasoned oil and confident hands in the kitchen. The shrimp were equally well-executed. They were plump, tender, and fried just right, without any of the rubbery disappointment that lesser seafood joints often deliver. Even the fries held their own, providing a solid, starchy counterpoint to all that seafood goodness. The wait wasn't at all bad either, which is worth mentioning because a place this good can often mean a crowd. Service was attentive without being overbearing, and the whole experience moved at a comfortable, easy pace. Whether you're a Gainesville local or just passing through, Gainesville Seafood is the kind of place worth going a little out of your way for, and once you've been, you'll understand why people keep coming back.

We started with the Tuscan Bruschetta with vine-ripened tomatoes, basil, red onion, and balsamic glaze. My husband had the Gold Star Old Fashioned, and I had the Strawberry Sunrise mocktail, which was really good. For dinner, we tried the cold-water twin lobster tails with mac and cheese. The presentation was beautiful, and everything looked so good when it came out. We also tried the bourbon mushrooms, which unfortunately weren't my favorite. They were a little bland and seemed slightly burnt to me. The 14 oz. New York strip, though, was absolutely delicious! It was 20-day wet-aged beef and definitely the highlight of my meal. So much flavor and cooked perfectly. For dessert, we had the crème brûlée, and they surprised us by decorating the plate with "Happy Anniversary." Such a sweet and thoughtful touch! We finished the evening with a double espresso. The service was exceptional from start to finish, which really made the evening feel special. Overall, we really enjoyed our anniversary dinner at Prime & Pearl. The beautiful presentation, excellent service, delicious steak, and thoughtful anniversary touches made it a memorable evening.
