Not too much food for vegetarians. I asked server to give me options for vegetarian food and she was telling me about dishes with shrimp. I asked her to make changes in chicken pasta and make it vegetarian, she failed at that. It seemed that she did not know what vegetarian food was. From the time we arrived until the time we left the service was impeccable!!! We got there Sunday evening and we were able to sit at the bar right away. The cute little bartender came over and got our drinks and order in less than 2 minutes! I got the black bean burger and it was he BEST black bean burger I have ever eaten!!! The food we ordered was delivered in less than 5 minutes. The second bartender had a very easy spirit about him and was able to multi task and converse with us very well. He was very nice (guy with blonde hair and had a fade haircut). They were even able to change the station to a sport that we wanted to watch without any attitude whatsoever !! We made a reservation for 8:30, went in and had to wait half an hour because they decided to seat people just walking in before us then walk over to tell us our table was ready. Once we went and asked, they finally seated us. We then sat in a booth for 15 min with not a single person even greeting us, constantly looking at servers in the eye to see if someone would say something. 5 star for Happy Hour, Monday-Thursday from 4-6 PM. 1/2 off appetizers and $4 drinks. Such an array of appetizers you can really just feast off of them without ordering from the menu. But, if your going to order from the menu, the Fisk tacos, jerk chicken pasta and the paella are some of my favorites. Outside of happy hour it's quite pricey shoo it's only about a 3-4 star cause everything taste better when it's cheaper. Wow! If you are lucky enough to have one of these near you - GO! If it's anything like the one we're just finishing up with in the Memphis area, it will be a meal to remember. The coconut shrimp is standard fare, but was very well prepared. My Lump Crab Stack was nothing short of amazing - with fresh crab and shrimp, avocado and mango and just the right level of spice in the sauce ringing the plate. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Plus, I only order one thing so I must really like it. =) I hands down recommend the chicken asparagus pasta. Yummy!!! We have visited a handful of times and it is always for dinner. Every time it has been packed too. We had a large group of 10 but quite surprised when we were seated in a nice large round table in less than 15 minutes. We all ordered, ate, visited, paid, and were out the door in 1 1/2 hours. I visited Bahama Breeze on the first mid-80s day of the year - what better time to dine on the patio and have something tropical and cool to drink, right? Well, turns out a lot of other people had the same idea. My friend and I got there around 6:00 on a Sunday and it was already an hour or more wait for the patio. It was about a half hour to sit inside, so that's what we did. It's what you'd expect inside - comfortable tropical decor, open and airy. We were seated just about at the half hour we'd been told. All the staff, from the hostess to the bartender to our server, were friendly and helpful. We ordered drinks and then food, and everything came to us quickly and was correct. My friend got a shrimp pasta that she said she often gets and she really enjoyed it. I ordered Jamaican jerk chicken, and I wasn't terribly pleased. First, the menu lists a "lighter portion" but they actually don't offer it for that dish. The dish itself is basically two chicken quarters with rice and salsa, and the jerk seasoning is just on the outside. The jerk seasoning was pretty mild and the relatively small amount of it combined with chicken a little on the dry side made for a pretty bland meal. I had a pina colada that was rum heavy and not well mixed but acceptable. For me, the pedestrian food and drink was disappointing, so it's 3 stars. I like the overall vibe and our server was awesome, so I'll probably try it again sometime with some different food and drink. read more

We inquired several times about the wait. There are no sitting inside areas. We waited outside, after 40 minutes waiting after I was told it would be 20, I called another restaurant who was happy to seat us with no wait time. My co-workers ordered the artichoke/spinach dip..delish, I ordered the ropa vieja tacos. .delish Shrimp and grits looked amazing, an so did the coconut shrimp.. I ordered the jerk chicken with black beans.. aside from the chicken was sized for an army and the black beans were sized for an infant, the food was delish. Take advantage of the "small plates" to try things you've never had! We did it with the street tacos and they were awesome. We are with out 6-year old and she had a blast. I realize it was busy but this was exceptionally long and our server never checked on us, refreshed our drinks nor filled us in on how long things would take. Once the food arrived, we were missing all the sauces which were an important component of the meal. Lastly, I told them it was my husbands birthday and I wanted a birthday dessert which the server assured me would arrive at the end. The dessert never showed up. Edit: I never received my points accrued from this visit either. Won't be back. My group and I decided on Bahama Breeze as opposed to a more authentic option because I had a bunch of points to use up before March 31, 2018. I had enough points for a free appetizer and a free small plate. I notified our waitress of this as we placed our orders and she verified that this would be no problem. When the checks came around they were not removed from the total and so I wrote my number on the receipt to make sure my points for this meal were added. She came back with the receipt and the total hadn't changed. I was going to inquire about this a third time but I had somewhere to be and she didn't seem very well versed on the policies. Our firecracker shrimp was spectacular as usual but some of the other plates were lacking. We received burned tostades and dry, overcooked pork. We were very disappointed with the service, especially considering we are on a tight budget and only get to treat ourselves sparingly. We may come back eventually but it will only be to go orders if possible. We waited 30 mins and she never brought me a receipt to confirm my points or so that I could call back and speak with a manager regarding my visit. Bahama Breeze is one of my favorite restaurants. My server was Jomar and he was amazing, fast and friendly! He made sure our glasses were always filled which is a big deal for me. For our appetizer we ordered shrimp lobster quesadillas which were great! It came with sour cream and salsa on the side. For our appetizer I ordered the shrimp & lobster pasta and added asparagus to it! My hubby ordered the fish tacos. My pasta was very yummy as usual, however I couldn't help but notice that they have reduced the size of the lobster serving. The lobster piece was as big as my pinky nail. My hubby ordered the fish tacos which he said were just ok. Overall the service was great, the food was good and the wait was short so we will be returning! David and Mom got the coconut shrimp, and I chose the shrimp and grits (a perennial favorite with me ever since I got it while in Nawlin's. :) I gotta sing the praises of our server. Some of y'all know how particular I can be about restaurants, and a good server can easily make or break the deal. Friendly, efficient, and tended to our every need. I never ran out of tea, and she made all of us feel welcome like we were all just family. Neither David nor I had ever been to Bahama Breeze. To be honest, we were a couple minutes from choosing Red Lobster instead, but Mom suggested Bahama Breeze because she had been there before with my sister Gina, and said it had never failed to be excellent food, and excellent service at very reasonable prices. I'll definitely be back, and recommend it highly to anyone. read more

My family and I tried to eat here tonight. There were 7 adults and 2 babies. Both under 2 years old. We were barely greeted and was told that they can't sit a party of 9 (over though both babies are not eating and wouldn't even take a sit up because they would be in our laps). We suggested sitting at two separate tables and they said no and offered no suggestions. They simply just wanted us to leave. After going back and forth about the babies, my brother decided he would not eat with us so that we could eat. They still refused to sit us, saying that they only had one 8 top and it would be an hour and a half wait. When i was just there last week with my family of 8 and they sat us at a regular table. They simply just refused to sit us and the "manager" that came out to speak to me was rude about my baby niece when i asked since she was only a year old. I know they discriminated against us because the guy that greeted us kept asking through his walkie talkie of he could sit us. We were sat at a regular booth last week but apparently they couldn't this week. Very disappointed in this manner. I saw people seated right next to each other as well in the restaurant so maybe we shouldn't eat here. They are barely following COVID regulations. read more

My wife and I, as may have you, have gone for "Dinner" at Bahama Breeze. Well, on our last visit, we tried something different - only Appetizers. Have you ever gone out to eat and "wanted" to have Appetizers AND Dinner, but know you'll be stuffed if you did? When we went this time, we decided to split 2 Small Plates and an Appetizer. We also decided to try a couple of their more exotic drinks. What a refreshing change - and a good idea! We went with the Smothered Pork Goodness and the Breeze Cheese Bites; TIP - there are already Cheese Bites IN the Smothered Pork Goodness. Well, both of them were very tasty with melted gooey cheese and caramelized onions on everything. During this alternative eating experience, our waitress quite pleasant and brought our "courses" when we needed them. We also decided to go with the Chicken Empanadas. Although, they were quite good, we were starting to get full. Did I mention that we each had a Bahama Mama and split an Ultimate Pina Colada? The next time you go to Bahama Breeze, try a different approach and have those appetizers instead of a full meal - perhaps even a dessert. Wish we had not been so full already.
