I just absolutely felt compelled to leave this specific location a wonderful review after my experience last night as a door dasher. I do frequently visit this location as well with my family, so I hope management sees this. You had three young ladies working their tails off, communicating with each other properly and with literally a line out of the door. I just want to give a special shout out to the taller blonde barista, and I wish I caught her name, that helped me with my delivery. Not only was she slammed making drinks, but she happily assisted me with a huge smile on her face. Apologized for the wait but was so incredibly pleasant I was actually surprised, that is not something I encounter often in a busy establishment and especially from the younger generation. I return specifically to this location because of customer service and the care they put into making our drinks right. Always a lovely visit when I come. Drinks are reasonably priced and always made right. When I ask for accommodations and special requests, they always make sure to do the best they can with a smile. Great place, employees, and treats. Love BB, but notice that the employees don't wash their hands when they come out of the back room. We walked in and no one was in the seating area. So the employees were in the back. When they came out to make the refreshments, they didn't wash their hands. Pretty sure that's mandatory. Kinda bummed out. read more

My elementary school years I experimented with many different root beers.  My favorite was Hires Root Beer.  In my college years Hires disappeared from California.  I could get it for a few more years in Yuma then it disappeared from Arizona as well. I was surprised to see it on the menu at Bahama Bucks. I ordered my favorite childhood drink. It was sweet and had that unique root beer flavor I love.  Great drink. Another visit I tried a root beer and lychee shaved ice. I notice they have a classic Hawaiian shave ice machine which uses a big ice block to create the fluffiest ice I've eaten.  Lychee flavor was a bit sour and didn't taste like lychee.  I wouldn't get that flavor again.  Root beer was sweet and had delicious root beer flavor.  I'd get it again. The ice here is of the finest quality.  The syrup is a bit hit or miss.  Wish they had taster flights so I could sample the various syrups. Next time I visit Arizona I'll have to return to Bahama Bucks and get another Hires Root Beer. read more

This location is the worst. They have screwed up our order multiple times through a delivery company. Tonight we ordered 7 cups and only received 3. Last time, the syrup didn't go through to the middle by any means and the white snow tasted so salty, we threw them out. read more

I came in today around lunchtime and had the BEST experience. Jaelyn was there and she had just dealt with a really difficult customer. She shook it off and provided quick, happy service. I was blown away by how friendly and professional she was. I went to Bahama Bucks for amazing shaved ice and what I got was an amazing experience. Being in customer service, I know that creating an experience is important and not always easy to do, especially when customers don't treat you well. It takes a special person. I remember Bahama Bucks from my old ASU days. When one of the girls said let's go I was happy to! I was glad to see one was down the street from where we were, so plus plus! It is in the strip mall in a huge plaza. It is by the Native New Yorker. It was pretty packed on a Saturday night, so we waited for about 10 mins in line before it was our turn to order. Amazing! Had a great time there not only because the shaved ice was amazing but because the environment they created was fun! Games, coloring pages, ring toss all kept the kids entertained and it was nice being together. Maybe employees were helpful with flavors and made a few choices that we could pick from. So I'm sitting in my house in Oklahoma, wishing I was in Mesa so I could go get a baby strawberry-colada with cream. It just sounds so, so good right now. I miss Bahama Bucks.
