Carne Asada Burrito with Mexican large coke! So bomb!

Been meaning to leave a review to this place (I don't leave many reviews) but I just had to! Working near by, I had limited choices on good food at decent pricing. Not only does Bahia's food taste delicious each time, pricing is great and their family also makes you feel like fam! Reminds me of back home, and that is something that I feel like makes everything taste better! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is homely and the care they put into each order I hear them take while I eat there is always pleasant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The salsa bar is always stocked and plenty of options! Grab a beer too! Very much recommend their carne asada burritos and hard shell tacos. Gotta check it out!

Staff was super friendly and helpful. 5/5 I ordered takeout: You order at the counter and you get your order bagged and ready to go. While you wait you should pack some salsas and lemons at the salsa bar 3/5*. Food wise: - Guacamole - half pint - creamy 4/5 - Enchiladas plate - tasty - 4/5 - carne asada plate - meh - meat was uncut and not well seasoned- 3/5 - supreme burrito - meh - 3/5 - shrimp cocktail - 3/5 very Clamato-ey like too much V8 used and shrimps were cut up so you can't tell how shrimp is really in there Parking: shared lot with other strip mall shops [[HIGHLIGHT]]Restroom: need key to open but single stall and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also because they keep their front door open, if you sit near the entry way you will witness the smell of homeless man walking up and down the stairs and perusing the walkway of the establishments around there. Not a pretty sight :([[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Sweet little spot in a University Heights strip mall! Your typical Mexican fare here with average prices. What I enjoyed most about Bahia is that there are four varieties of salsas you can pour for yourself. I got the hot and medium salsas. Both were really flavorful and added a nice depth to my potato breakfast burrito. Potato breakfast burrito -- 8/10. Overall pleasant! I do wish, however, that the potatoes were a bit crispier because I found them to be too soft for my liking. It was wrapped well in foil so that when I actually had time to sit down and eat it low half an hour after I received it, it was still warm! There's a good amount of parking but beware that this lot is awful. It's busy here and the spots are narrow

    Shrimp Burrito and chicken enchiladas

Best shrimp burrito ever! So much flavor and it was huge! Chicken enchiladas were really good too! My new favorite Mexican restaurant!

Food was amazing and so was the salsa. The lady at the front was very nice it was a 10/10 experience!

Super dark and I mean dark, it'll take a minute for your eyes to adjust. Tapas style menu, we were a party of 4 and ordered: Squash blossom Relleno - it's the flower part of a squash plant and stuffed with mushroom duxelles which resembles a meat mixture with squash succotash. Outside is a corn tempura with a tomato base sauce. Pulpo-grilled octopus, one of the best texture and perfectly grilled skin with a chewy yet soft interior. The sauce has a slight kick and crunch from the corn nuts. Crab corn doughnut- this is their specialty and we were about to skip out but glad we didn't. The brioche bun had a donut batter with lumps of crab salad and corn mixture on top. El Festin- perfect for our party of 4 because it was a platter full of 4 Cheese quesadilla, 4 shrimp, 4 chicken slices, 1 jalapeño bacon wrap, ribeye. Flan-we should have each ordered one ourselves! Great flavors and texture, the top had ancient chocolate soil and had crispy corn nuts. Different but yummy. Overall, delicious food that came out so quick, great ambiance, we celebrated our birthdays and were each gifted candles with our names on the label. Truly amazing from beginning to end. Street parking only. The spots on the same block are metered but if you drive down to the second street towards residential, it's free.

Drinks took long after finishing our app. Ordered the mezcal in addition to our drinks and took even longer. Donut crab was actually good. I will give them that. We ordered the big ribeye entree and with the rec of the server would be more than enough- wrong. Ambience- looks better on social media than in person. Super small, they don't use half of the restaurant during weekdays to make it seem more full. After $260 of a tab, we were kicked off of our table (at 8:30, 1.5 hours after getting there) for another reservation directly after paying the tab. I needed to wait for my uber outside. Honest review- check my page as I RARELY make 1 star reviews. Never again.

We got seated quickly and got lucky with a side table and perfect view of the city. We saw it during sunset and at night with all the lights. They give you chips and salsa to start and we got the spicy margarita and strawberry margarita both were tasty and easy to drink. We opted to get the paella for 2 which takes a little extra time to prepare but was well worth the wait. It was so flavorful with all the seafood being a nice touch of salt. It was a little spicy but the cream sauce balanced it well. The rice was fluffy but crispy on the bottom. It could've fed 4 people probably. We got a complimentary slice of strawberry tres leches and it was the perfect ending to our meal. So incredibly light and not too sweet. Our server, Abdo made our dining experience even better with his friendliness and attention to the fact that we were celebrating something. It was grilled perfectly here! The chunks were big enough so you get the squid flavor. The chorizo wasn't like Roberto's so there was no grease dripping down my hands. That usually means either too much eggs or better quality meat. I think it was the latter. We left right away to pick up the food and sure enough it was ready waiting for our arrival. One quick drive back home to dig in and the aroma was so enticing. California Burritos is very apt for their name, my bf rates it a 10/10. As a California Burrito connoisseur, he liked the addition of sour cream in it and said the flavors were delicious. He topped it with their green salsa for a little bit of a freshness to cut through the richness and fattiness of the meat and fries in the burrito. He didn't care for the fish taco that much and rated it a 4/10 but said the restaurant overall was a 10/10, as he thought there was too much lettuce and tomato throwing off the ratio of the taco. I, on the other hand, am a huge fan of veggies and liked the ample amount they provided. ---- There's a couple benches outside in front of the shop and seating at booth tables inside as well. It's a bit smaller to sit inside, I recommend sitting outside to enjoy the fresh air and the sunset is beautiful. ---- Overall: if you're in the mood for California Burritos come to the place rightly named California Burritos!
