Carne Asada Burrito with Mexican large coke! So bomb!

Been meaning to leave a review to this place (I don't leave many reviews) but I just had to! Working near by, I had limited choices on good food at decent pricing. Not only does Bahia's food taste delicious each time, pricing is great and their family also makes you feel like fam! Reminds me of back home, and that is something that I feel like makes everything taste better! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is homely and the care they put into each order I hear them take while I eat there is always pleasant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The salsa bar is always stocked and plenty of options! Grab a beer too! Very much recommend their carne asada burritos and hard shell tacos. Gotta check it out!

Staff was super friendly and helpful. 5/5 I ordered takeout: You order at the counter and you get your order bagged and ready to go. While you wait you should pack some salsas and lemons at the salsa bar 3/5*. Food wise: - Guacamole - half pint - creamy 4/5 - Enchiladas plate - tasty - 4/5 - carne asada plate - meh - meat was uncut and not well seasoned- 3/5 - supreme burrito - meh - 3/5 - shrimp cocktail - 3/5 very Clamato-ey like too much V8 used and shrimps were cut up so you can't tell how shrimp is really in there Parking: shared lot with other strip mall shops [[HIGHLIGHT]]Restroom: need key to open but single stall and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also because they keep their front door open, if you sit near the entry way you will witness the smell of homeless man walking up and down the stairs and perusing the walkway of the establishments around there. Not a pretty sight :([[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Sweet little spot in a University Heights strip mall! Your typical Mexican fare here with average prices. What I enjoyed most about Bahia is that there are four varieties of salsas you can pour for yourself. I got the hot and medium salsas. Both were really flavorful and added a nice depth to my potato breakfast burrito. Potato breakfast burrito -- 8/10. Overall pleasant! I do wish, however, that the potatoes were a bit crispier because I found them to be too soft for my liking. It was wrapped well in foil so that when I actually had time to sit down and eat it low half an hour after I received it, it was still warm! There's a good amount of parking but beware that this lot is awful. It's busy here and the spots are narrow

    Shrimp Burrito and chicken enchiladas

Best shrimp burrito ever! So much flavor and it was huge! Chicken enchiladas were really good too! My new favorite Mexican restaurant!

The staff will take your order and assign you a table, so do not grab a table without their approval. The seafood all taste fresh. We love the halibut plate with lemon garlic butter. Tip: we went at 2:30p thinking it is after the lunch rush, but the line was out the door on Sunday. We will stick to 15mins before they open.

I asked her what she wanted and she said, "seafood", so I immediately thought of Blue Water, and we drove right over. We parked at a metered spot nearby & walked in at 5pm. Do note that there is no dedicated parking for Blue Water, so at busy times it may be tricky to find a spot, but we had no trouble today. In the main dining ordering area & on the side patio, there were a few tables that were occupied, but there was no ordering line. All of us wanted shrimp today apparently, so my dad and I both got a shrimp taco with lemon garlic butter & my hungry mom got the shrimp platter also with lemon garlic butter. The platter came with 8 shrimp, jasmine rice, and a lovely, fresh garden salad. The server who took our order and brought it out to us was very helpful & nice. They have a ton of fresh seafood on offer though so if shrimp is not your thing, there will likely be another delightful offering from the sea that will suit your fancy. We sat in the side patio area and it was very pleasant. We enjoyed our experience this evening very much! The tacos were big and had more than 5 shrimp in them, plus cabbage, pico, cheddar cheese & white sauce. One taco was pretty decently sized. If I'd been hungrier, two tacos would've been perfect, but today, I was happy with one taco. Yum! Mom enjoyed her platter. It was beautifully prepared. Blue Water also has a decent soft drink selection and beers and wine, but we all just had their water and it was very refreshing! :) By the time we left at 5:45, a line was forming out the door, so we really came out at a good time. Peace!

However, when we walked in, we weren't greeted by the host and ended up waiting about ten minutes in an almost empty restaurant before being seated. We were close to walking out at that point. We dined as a group of two adults, a child, and an infant. I do want to give credit where it's due since they were very accommodating for kids. They provided a booster seat and also gave us something to securely hold our infant's car seat, which we really appreciated. The restaurant isn't specifically geared toward families, but they made it feel kid-friendly, which ended up being one of the highlights of our visit. Service was a bit uneven. Our waitress seemed flustered and forgot to put in our appetizer order, which was disappointing. That said, she did bring out our child's meal first, which was a thoughtful touch since kids don't like to wait. As for the food, it was good but not particularly memorable. We ordered a combo platter with asparagus, as well as swordfish with Brussels sprouts and mac and cheese. Everything was decent, but nothing really stood out except the bread. In fact, my husband makes better Brussels sprouts and swordfish at home. Overall, there were some positives, especially the kid-friendly accommodations, but the service hiccups and average food mean we're on the fence about returning.

Arrived around 5:15pm, and there wasn't a line, but the restaurant had a good amount of diners. Pretty good ventilation at the front of the restaurant, but the back part of the restaurant, likely the overflow room was where my family and I were seated. It had a funky smell to the area and there was poor ventilation. I wanted to step out but I refrained. Everything felt stuffy in that section. The only nice person was the male staff member at the front for checkin. The rest of the staff were not very friendly. The hostess who walked us to our table was not very friendly and just rushed things. Took our drink orders, and didn't say much. Just walked off. I was surprised to see the pitchers with the beverages were sitting on top of a counter outside where customers are, without any lids. Anyone can just walk by and touch or spit in them. Thought that was not very hygienic... Different sections of food. I never expect food at buffets to be of good quality or taste excellent, so the food items were all mediocre. The teppanyaki grill was... well, let's just say they use the same spatula for everyone's entreés. You load up your plate and the cook throws everything on the grill. Uses the same spatulas to cook everyone's food. If you have allergies or sensitivity to spice, then probably avoid this section. He cooked the meat for someone else's plate and then touched the veggies for the other. Used mod spice level sauce for one, and then same spatula on my entreé. My order was non-spicy, but it had a kick since the neighboring sauce got onto my stir fry. Dessert section isn't even labeled.... meaning, the baked/dessert items aren't labeled other than the gelato flavors. Crab legs were very salty. Lobster claws in the cold section were OK though. The warm lobster they serve is limited to 1 per person per serving. Long line, and if they run out, you have to wait or return when they serve again. People were waiting in line while eating their food... the lobsters are tiny, dry, and with very little meat. It is definitely not worth paying the extra for lobster night. The amount of waiting time is ridiculous and there is no guarantee that you can even get a lobster. Some groups have 1 person waiting in line and then when it is their turn, the rest of the group members (5-7) cut the whole line to each get a lobster. I was trying to get 1 for my mother, and I didn't get to eat one, but didn't mind since it didn't even look good. Rest of the foods were mediocre too. I had 1 plate that wasn't even full... lost my appetite. Wouldn't return. Hygiene.... cross contamination... Some people say this place is like the old Pala casino buffet or Las Vegas buffet- definitely not the case. Parking can be compact. Gets busy around 5:45p it seems as more people were waiting in the lobby.

The building has the shape of an old school Pizza Hut with light blue paint on the exterior. I believe its predecessor was a Vietnamese eatery. A small dedicated parking lot was available to the right and back of the structure. A large countertop was in the front of the room, however a sign explicitly stated that seating was not allowed there. That was not the case when the business first opened. The rest of the dining room had lots of four top tables that could be pushed together if you had a large party. I would say the seating capacity was around 60. A worker brought me to a table and laid out a large sheet of wax paper to serve as a tablecloth and/or the surface on which a boil bag contents would be placed. The two-sided menu had build your own seafood boils, bucket deals, and combo meals featured on one page. Starters, oysters, special entrees, soup, and dessert were also on this side. The other page listed the fried baskets, weekday specials, and beverages. Unfortunately, the Gumbo was sold out during my visit which was one item that I really wanted to try. I waffled between the Garlic Noodles with Shrimp and the Shrimp & Grits that were each priced at $16. The latter was my choice with mild spiciness. A shallow dish containing a bed of grits with eight pieces of shrimp was brought to my table in about 10 minutes. A fiery looking sauce (tobasco?) was applied on top of the grits, but it looked a lot meaner than it tasted. If anything, the sauce made this entree quite salty. For the price, quality, and quantity of my food, I gave a three star rating for my meal at Shrimp Heads.

But I had no qualms about it whatsoever, as I was more focused on the experience of the food. I ordered the Fettuccine Bolognese while my boyfriend ordered the Piccante. I was pleasantly surprised with how quick my food came to the table, with my boyfriend's not too long after. Despite the portion size, the fettuccine filled me up well and the marinara sauce was flavorful. My boyfriend raved about his pizza as well as the chili oil provided for garnish. (You can actually taste the chili in the chili oil, so be wary of that if you're one not accustomed to large spice.) I had only tried the crust of his pizza, but even that alone, it was still delicious. A part of the reason for our visit was to try the Tiramisu and it didn't disappoint at all. It was the right balance of sweet mascarpone and rich espresso. Our server was kind and attentive to us, checking on us and giving us updates on our food. We were both surprised to see that after asking for the check, we weren't charged for the Tiramisu, a kind gesture we appreciated. Overall, my boyfriend and I enjoyed our time here.
