Yummy food and good lunch deals. When you dine in you at lunch and order a lunch special you get the soup of the day which is usually amazing. The one thing I think needs to be worked out is just some staffing issues. I think once they've been open longer all the kinks should work themselves out. Give this place a try! read more

I ordered salad rolls and drunken noodles. I thought that both items were very well done. The salad rolls had lots of greens which gave them a wonderful tangy flavor and the peanut sauce was really good. The drunken noodles were fantastic. As a person who loved hot Thai food, I can no longer tolerate the heat, so I ordered 1 on their scale and it was great. Loads of flavor, a small hit of heat and lots and lots of chicken. My only issue would be that I would like more basil, but I will know to ask for more next time. Thank you for a great experience and artfully prepared food. Excellent food when they first opened. Recently the staff isn't great at being attentive and the food changed flavor a bit and is almost more sweet than previous- not my favorite. We usually order the pad ke mow (drunken noodle) and the last time it was a bit sweet. We also got the Lettuce wrap appetizer and we're not given napkins silverware or extra plates to dish it up on which took a few minutes to get. The wait staff was pleasant but not attentive. The food here is awesome and I would have given it 5 stars but there are some discrepancies that I will attribute to early opening growing pains. The beef salad (Thom yum I believe ) on the menu says it comes with tomatoes and cucumbers out of the three times I have ordered this item the only time it was prepared per the description was when I requested the items. My opinion is if you don't want to make it as the menu describes just change the menu ! The wait staff could be a bit more attentive shouldn't have to go searching for napkins and more water. All that being said this place when it's done right ( which is more often then not) has the best Thai in Salem in my humble opinion. read more

Great curry! Amazing customer service. The woman at the register was so sweet while I waited for my to go order. Offered me a table to sit and handed me a glass of water. I didn't call ahead to order and was told it would only be 10 minutes. They even apologized for a long wait and i wasn't sure why because I truly anticipated waiting much longer having not called in. You must order the Crab Rangoon! Best I've ever had and they are very pretty compared to other places! I will say that the red curry was delicious in flavor but unbearable in spice. I felt it could have been less spicy and would have liked more chicken and veggies. I added an entire can of coconut milk at home and it was still an unbearable spice level. I ate what I could because I was hungry but might consider other options next time. The sticky rice wasn't what I expected so I ended up making my own rice at home. I wouldn't pay the extra $2 per serving for it again. Overall great first experience! Will go again but glad I know what to expect from certain items now. read more

Went in on a Saturday at 4:30pm for dinner. Started out with the shrimp spring rolls, for $8, yet you only get 2 cut into 4. So you are paying 4 bucks for a single spring roll and a side of peanut sauce. I loved the peanut sauce so much I went with the "Peanut Lover" entrée. I absolutely loved the entree. There was a variety of vegetables and my choice of chicken and peanut sauce drizzled over the the food, also with a abundance of rice on the side. My first impression was that there was too much oil in the food, but once you put the rice in it it absorbs the oil and it becomes a well balanced meal. read more

Had the worse experience here! We were a group of 7 ( 2 of them were children). She told us first we couldn't have three separate bills. They served all our food and forgot our noodles. The shrimp wasn't cooked all the way. When we went to pay she charged each of our bill a service fee. My $42 bill ended up being $54, the $11 Bill was $13, and the last one was $27 ended up being $34. $24 "service charge" was ridiculous! Will never go there again. Great Thai food here, good service, I will be back. Pad Thai and Fresh rolls were really good, very fresh. You can tell they made the Pad Thai fresh, and it didn't come from a big vat in the back like many places do. Bonus points for me, they take American Express. Called in! Got the spicy green curry, tofu pad Thai, and tofu spring rolls! SO GOOD. The flavor was there! Pad Thai was prepared with many peanuts; how I like! Really excited for a new Thai place in Keizer! We had the pad thai and pumpkin curry, both with beef. The beef slices were too thick for my taste but there was a decent amount of meat. The curry was very flavorful and delicious! The pad thai was sweet, very sweet... Not sure if I would get it again. Would definitely get the curry again though! Tried the food here twice (to-go) and each time one item seems to have some missing items. First, curry noodles only had noodles, crispy noodles and curry. The pictures on the menu clearly shows more ingredients. On our second try, tofu spring rolls did not have any tofu at all. Overall quite disappointing. read more

Incredible! Is the only way to describe the food at Bai Bua!! I LOVE Thai food and have a hard time finding places that deserve 5 stars but this place has never disappointed. My husband and I have eaten here a few times (he's new to Thai food but LOVES it now) as well as coworkers and I getting take out during the week! Food is always super fresh and consistent. Tried this place out today with a take out order. First impression was the restaurant was clean and a good location. Lady who rang me up however didn't seem to care about good customer service. No greeting, no eye contact, no niceties. I had to let her know why I was there. Asked her for additional items for my order, still walked out with no soy sauce packets, forks or napkins. I ordered pad Thai with tofu. I think withers was like 5 small pieces of tofu in there and just noodles. It was dry and all stuck together. VERY Disappointed especially since they charge the same amount for the pad Thai with meat. The red curry I got however was delicious and the only reason this place is getting 3 stars. Made an order to go of drunken noodles. I had fast service and the food was fresh and delicious and in a good timely matter. I had some Thai recently at another business and the lime was old, plus garnished with an old key lime and noodles were dry. Not here at Bai Bua Thai kitchen. Everything was well proportioned and quality ingredients. The only thing I wish was when I Upgraded to shrimp, that I'd get a few more pieces than just 5 shrimp. Everything we tried was delicious. We had the spring salad rolls with shrimp, the peanut sauce is to die for. Their October special: Thai pumpkin curry was a true festival of amazing flavors in my mouth, with the right amount of kick at the end. I got the drunken noodles and the Tom kha. The soup didn't have any of the lemongrass, ginger or herbs that Tom kha normally has and it was too sweet. The noodles were mushy and over cooked.
