The service/staff were great, the food came very fast. Ordered Mandarin Dinner for 2 plus Shrimp Lo Mein to go. The portions are quite large and will probably be 3 dinners for us. The good: Szechuan Beef, Kung Pao Shrimp, General Tso's Chicken, and Crab Puffs were very good. However (here's the bad) we received no soup, the Shrimp Rolls were soggy and one had no shrimp at all....just cabbage. The Shrimp Lo Mein, while tasty, contained very few vegetables or shrimp (for $19, I expected a bit more). The Pork Fried Rice was like none I'd ever had before: few vegetables, no flavor/sauce, and it contained the same sliced BBQ Pork that came as an appetizer...which was dry and not very flavorful. The atmosphere is very similar to other Chinese restaurants I've visited. Also this one seemed a bit more spacious, and looked very clean. It's clear they are very busy, and enjoyed by locals. I haven't had Chinese food in about 3 years, and used to eat it about every month or so. Perhaps I'm just very accustomed to the places I used to eat at, in another state, and just long for what I'm used to expecting/eating. Also, I don't know if this an "Oregon thing", but I've never had Chow Mein with crunchy noodles, so I'm glad the person that took my order made this distinction for me and suggested Lo Mein instead. I realize that when you visit a new restaurant, it's all about learning what you like or don't like, and over time you develop your favorite items to order. However, I get take-out or eat at restaurants far less often than I used to, so when I DO make the effort, I don't want to be disappointed. Overall, I'm happy with the food I received, but there are a few things I will avoid in the future.

Special chili oil sauce Wontons with dried cooked egg pasta, cilantro and scallions. Dish is off menu .

Clean, comfortable family setting staffed by friendly owners and staff. Chefs created tasty family style dishes with fresh ingredients. Taste reflects excellent wok cooking skills. We had tangy mango beef, Braised tofu with chicken and fresh green beans, beef loh mein noodles, wonton with chil oil noodles and potstickers. All delicious. Good quality fried and steamed rice..Would not hesitate to return with friends, family and colleagues.

Chen's is my favorite Chinese food in the Willamette Valley. I love that the sweet and sour is on the side so the chicken stays crispy.

Not very good. We ordered the Orange Chicken and General Taos. The chicken is ground up, almost like chicken nuggets :(

First and foremost, as we discovered, parking is in the back. Second, the formal diningroom had apparently been closed for years, meaning that that all business is conducted in the bar area, which also has slot machines and pool tables. There is also a very prominent sign saying 21 YEARS OR OLDER ONLY! We confirmed that if you have children, the only option is takeout. This is NOT a family-friendly restaurant! We ordered the egg rolls, orange chicken, and mongolian beef. The egg rolls were nothing to write home about; However, the entrees were both amazing and worth coming back for. The portions were large, and the price was reasonable. Both also came with a side of rice. The only reason I couldn't give this place a fifth star is because the menu lists the price of wine as $6.00/glass, yet we were charged $7.75 each. The remainder of our order was billed correctly. This won't stop me from recommending this place or coming back in the future. Hopefully they are able to reopen the dining room at some point so that we bring our kids.

Then when the wait staff did come over, she didn't ask for drinks or any additional items...just what we told her. That's fine. 22 minutes after arrival, ONE person's food comes out. He eats it because...it's in front of him. No one else's. At 29 minutes, mine came out but not my son's. I went ahead and paid at this point, because we were supposed to be somewhere at that 30 minute mark and I legitimately thought we'd be able to order and get food faster than this. I guess not. The quality of it is good. With delivery, it's always been correct, hot, and good. I don't have a complaint about the food, but I won't come here again to eat. This service was just .. appalling. The wait staff just...walked past us without slowing or looking for the first 10 minutes. I couldn't have felt more invisible. Final food arrived for my kid so we ate. Kind of not happy about the experience. I told the woman why I was upset and just kind of got an "oh." I mean...I can't go back and have her pay attention to us from the start but okay. We'll order delivery if we want the food from here again. But won't come in.
