If you are looking for a good Thai Place to eat, look no more because this is definitely one of the better Thai restaurants around Portland. I have been to numerous Thai restaurants around Portland and have been to Thailand myself, so I am very picky with my Thai food. I can't say I was expecting much when my friend asked me to come here but was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the dishes I ate, and the service. By all means, the food here is not special or anything, but in terms of a good Thai place that provides you seriously good cooked Thai essentials like Pad Thai, Pad Kee Mao, and a Tom Kha, this is definitely a must try for anyone looking for Thai food. I will break down my review some more into 3 parts, food, pricing, and service. Food: I ordered the Pad Thai, Pad Kee Mao, Tom Kha soup, and got Thai tea as well. The Pad Thai pretty good although I wished it had more sauce. I also like my Pad Thai to be less dry, but overall the flavor was there and the portion was very good for a dinner plate. The Pad Kee Mao was the highlight of my dinner and was what really made me write this review. Everything from the flavoring, the cook, and the proportions between noodles, meat and veggies was just perfect. If you ever had the best drunken noodle in Thailand at Raan Jay Fai, this comes close and I would say was one of the best I have had. As for the Thai tea and the Tom kha, they were both good and I have nothing to complain about. Pricing: Main dishes ranges from 8 to 15 dollars for the most part. I thought the portions of the dishes were very fair to the price. Some Thai restaurants would give you a much smaller portion for around the same price or their dishes would have too much noodles and not enough veggies or meat. I though the dishes here were perfect and pricing was fair. Service: Normally I don't put too much weight on service when choosing a restaurant, but I have to say that the service at Bai Mint Thai was one of the best, mostly due to our server Nikki. I was surprised to see the negative yelp comments regarding the service and have to fully disagree with yelp comments discussing their bad service experiences. During my time at the restaurant, me and my girlfriend was met by Nikki who greeted us and made the experience feel like home. After talking to Nikki, I was informed that there were some management changes so I believe that the negative services experience had to be from the old management. I highly recommend this restaurant for Thai food, and it is a must try, and must go for good Thai food. This is one of the best around town. Pictures look good too! read more

The food was mediocre at best but hearing people in the kitchen (possibly owner) yelling at staff for throwing food off the grill that dropped on the floor into the trash (not once but twice) instead of serving to customers was mind blowing let alone disgusting. This was an amazing dining out experience in general, but even more noteworthy considering we had young kids in tow -- the staff was super friendly, extremely accommodating, and the service was exceptionally quick. Our toddler LOVED the rice fashioned into animals (a crab for her and a rabbit for me) which made eating their delicious food even easier than it already was. Do not be mistaken -- we have an adventurous toddler in the culinary department, so this wasn't typical "kid-type food"; her meal was sharing parts of our entrees. On top of having a successful dinner trip with two small children, we greatly enjoyed the food -- everything was well prepared and tasty. We came here for lunch with our 3 year old, from the moment we walked in it was clear that this place is family friendly! Our son was greeted kindly and they brought his water in a very cute animal cup, it made him so happy! They also have plastic silverware for kids and the bathroom has a stool so it was easy for our son to wash his hands. This is so refreshing! So many restaurants these days are inconvenienced by kids, but this restaurant was so welcoming. The food was very tasty we got chicken satay, fresh rolls and a beef salad. The peanut sauce was flavorful without being too sweet. Everything arrived quickly and was freshly prepared. They served our son's rice in the shape of a star and he was so excited about it, we rarely eat out as a family because it is a bit boring for a little one but this place made it fun for him! read more

A delicious and solid go to for Thai food favorites. The peanut sauce is excellent with a deep peanut flavor, nothing fake tasting there. Well, here I am. New guy to the neighborhood, and if there is something that ticks me off is a restaurant acting as though I should have known better. First off , i ordered two dishes. Both of which had chicken. Never a mention that the chicken was GROUND chicken. Ground chicken?? I could have stayed home and made a frozen pizza. I have tried this place twice now and been underwhelmed both times. I ordered pineapple fried rice and spring rolls for lunch today, only to realize when I got home that my order was wrong - only regular fried rice. They weren't busy when I got there so I can't blame the error on a lunch rush. The spring rolls were anemic, with barely any color, and the dipping sauce was watery and practically tasteless. These guys are lovely. We have dined in a handful of times and have always had a great experience. We have recently started ordering delivery from them, and we could not be happier. Bai Mint is now our #1 Thai delivery place in SE. The food such higher quality than our former go-to, and tonight I had our delivered order in hand a mere 17 minutes after the ticket printed in the restaurant. Best most Authentic Thai spot in town! We are still going through the menu to find all of the most delicious dishes! I never feel worried that I'm going to try a dish that I won't like because it's all so yummy! The owners and staff are so friendly and lovely we love chatting with them during our visit. My partner has been going here a long time and become good friends with everyone. (In fact, he's there ordering take out right now and he just FaceTimed me to say hi to everyone xD) They always treat us so well! My first visit today; ordered soft shell crab, Pad se eew; Tom Yum shrimp n Golden squid. I am Thai and I can state that this place offers as closest to authentic Thai food as it gets consider the ingredients available in this area. Very friendly staff (lady) n the owner comes out to greet us! New owner took over this place about 2 years. Tom Yum is slight on sweet side for me but u can always ask them to tone to your liking. Saw some big complaint review by B, I believe he must have taken it very personal to complain in such details..... Ate there recently with the family three. Adults one child. Food was really good and service excellent. The only dish that didn't measure up was the green papaya salad. This is one of my favorites and it is usually spicy but this was fairly bland. I would try it again and ask them to spice it up some. Average price for an entree was $15. One of the tastier lunches I've had lately! The Phad See Ew with chicken was outstanding ($7 for lunch portion). I don't know how long Bai Mint has been here, but I just noticed it yesterday. The interior is very attractive - spiffy clean with cheery colors, a cool wallpaper pattern and interesting angles in the walls and the ceiling. Service was excellent and attentive. The very nicely plated Phad See Ew was prepared with sweet soy sauce, kale and broccoli. It also had a few nice seeds/beans that resembled miniature pinto beans. These "beans" had a pleasing sweet cinnamon/jasmine flavor. I wonder what they were. The chicken in the dish was oh-so-tender and came in a generous quantity The kale added a perfect astringent bite to the dish, and the broccoli was fresh and firm, but not raw. But what really pulled this dish together was the sweet soy sauce. Delicious! I also ordered a Thai Iced Coffee. For $2, the portion was especially generous. I truly didn't think I was wolfing my food down, but my server remarked upon observation that that was a really great compliment for the food. If so, it was a well-deserved compliment. read more

Ordered green curry with eggplant. arrived quickly but without eggplant. apart from the curry being extremely watered down none of the vegetables were fully steamed or sauteed. I'm usually ok with a little crunch but this tasted like they literally just plopped the veggies in the hot curry water raw after cooking. I called in to ask for a partial refund but instead, they offered to either send me a new curry or get a full refund. I thought great, full refund that's more than I asked for. but after being on hold for few seconds they said I would have to call grub hub to get the refund. I thought ok that's annoying but whatever. So I call grub hub and get placed on hold for like 10 or so minutes and eventually they tell me the restaurant doesn't know anything about the eggplant and so no refund, not even a partial refund. :( read more

Our favorite Thai takeout spot. They have the most tender Lemongrass chicken I've ever had. Their peanut sauce is amazing, and they give you twice the amount that you'd normally get from other Thai places. The flavor of the pad thai is perfect and the amount of protein is more than plenty. It's enough for 2 large portions. Even with 2 people you'd still have leftovers for lunch the next day. The only thing we didn't love was the sticky rice. It was slightly dry. Plus, we're in love with Tom Yum's sticky rice, which has a subtle coconut flavor. read more

I usually get takeout from here but I recently dined-in. I washed my hands in their restroom prior to ordering. There was barely enough soap for me to use. Mid-way through my meal a female chef used the same restroom and I'm wondering how she cleaned her hands before returning to the kitchen. Couple minutes later a male chef used the men's restroom with gloves on his hands. I was close enough to hear the toilet being flushed but didn't hear the faucet and he clearly opened the door right after flushing. Still wearing the gloves from the kitchen... I can't stop eating here. I really, really like the Won Ton Soup and the Fresh Tofu Salad Rolls w/ Peanut sauce. (As I'm writing this i know what i will be having for lunch!) The customer service is and always has been spot on. I feel bad for them at times when you see 1 or 2 wait persons just getting hammered by TOGO orders and customers ( who are clueless as to what is really going on. When you see them running back and forth, people streaming in non stop for TOGO Food and they say I'll be right with you. Then you make them stand there and listen to your complaint, making the situation even worse. It takes all my inner strength NOT to say anything to said customers!) They just keep rocking it out as fast as a human can. I like gong in when they first open. It's usually not busy and i can sit by the big windows and people watch while i enjoy my Yummy, Yummy Soup. We thought it would be nice to have our food delivered as we were visiting Portland and had no transportation. We ordered three full meals in the afternoon. The food never arrived. I called GrubHub and ask them about the missing food. They responded that it was supposed to be delivered in about 2 1/2 hours from the original time promised. This restaurant has an afternoon break. But we ordered before the break and we were promised the food with in a reasonable amount of time. We will not order from this restaurant again. Awesome Thai food in the heart of Woodstock. We came here on a whim craving some Thai food and definitely were not disappointed. We started with an order of egg rolls and got a serving of 4 for 4 dollars. They were your standard no fluff appetizer that you would expect. The dipping sauce was just all right imo. For my entree I ordered the chicken fried rice. It was seasoned brilliantly and the portion size was quite large. It had big chunks of onions, chicken, and green onions. It also had a big half of a tomato and cucumbers on the side which i could have done without. All in all it was delicious. I didn't eat nearly all of it and definitely had left overs. My girlfriend got the chicken yellow curry. I didn't eat too much but from what I had it was really good. The spice was just right and it had big chunks of chicken, onions, potatoes, and carrots. It wasn't portioned as big as some curry i have gotten from other Thai places but i can't knock the taste. Overall I give five stars because this is up there with any Thai place i have ever been to. A shout-out to Bai Mint for dinner last night. Only a few blocks from home, I called for a take out, was told it would only be 10 minutes! Threw some clothes on and ran up. Food was already bagged and ready. Quick! Dinner was Fresh Rolls, Pad Thai, and Red Curry/Chicken. All was quite tasty. We like spicy and requested the red curry "medium". Made the mistake of enhancing the curry before we tasted it, agreed that medium was just fine without our adding sambal. Dipping sauce for the tools was a bit thin but still full of flavor. This really is the most wonderful restaurant. Sure Thai food is often pretty tasty, but Nikki and Pete take it to a whole nother level. I mean it is really good, and such a warm, friendly personal place. It's hard for me not to order the Pad Kee Mao with duck and all five of the delicious special chiles that usually only Thai nationals eat, but every time I explore the menu, I discover something special. For example, their Crying Tiger, a rib eye on a bed of fancy greens with a dipping bowl of pure magic and a side of sticky rice, is currently my favorite steak in town, now that I have found the good sense to order it rare. I love the house green tea, and I have gone in specially just for that. I can't be objective any more because now they are my friends. I actually really like them a lot, and I miss them if I don't see them. I think they just can't be beat and Woodstock Boulevard is lucky to have them. read more

Wow... Where do I begin? During this crazy covid19 time these people truly have a system in place that works very seamlessly and keeps everyone safe. I ordered take out, picked it up at the store. The portions were great, we will have leftovers for days. They gave us free beverages with our order and let us pick. The spices were perfect, they followed directions with each order perfectly.
