These people deserve no stars. I got a white Buick from there as soon as I pulled it off the lot the check engine light came on... I had a catalytic converter issue. They offered to get it replaced at another dealership, but all they did was reset the light... My car became worse worse from there and they refused to help me get it fixed. Here we are over a year later and "the business owner" has yet to reach out to me personally regarding this "rental", I am in the process of purchasing from them. (Besides his Matilda response) Nor have I further reach out to them but I still continue to make my payment every month. (Yes I have had a few times where life is happening and I haven't made my payments on time but I still make one every month. No matter the date) I still drive around every.... day leaking oil. I don't have to worry about an oil change because the leak is so bad now that it basically leaks all out and I just keep adding more everyday. It's at least half to a full quart a day. Worst place ever to buy a car. I bought a car there and a week later car started shaking Engine light turned on I called. They ask me to take it to their mechanics. I took it to mechanics. Got it back three weeks later. Mechanics didn't fix anything. Had to send it back the second time same thing they said it was fixed, but nothing got fixed had a ticket in the third time once I took it in the third time the car was Not drivable . I got a hold of Baja. They basically told me I was on my own and They didn't wanna cover anything even though Mario the supervisor gave me his word that the car had warranty for 30 days. Long story short they sold me a lemon car and didn't take full responsibility of their actions. They stole my money and my time couldn't even enjoy the car from the time I bought it to the to the last day I had it. The car has been in the shop. I purchased a 2018 Ford Edge with 75,000 miles on it on December 13th, 2024. Not even 24hrs later, the check engine light came on stating misfire on bank one. Went to the parts store purchased 4 plugs and 4 coil packs. Changed them out thinking no big deal car has high mileage. I noticed they had been RECENTLY changed. Car cycled the check engine light off in a few days. Then it came on again, same issue, popped the hood thinking maybe I did not tighten the coil pack wires enough, ran rough like it was going to stall. Cycled the check engine light off a few days later. 3 weeks go by with this issue every 2-3 days, then comes the almost not starting and pure white smoke rolling out the exhaust all the while barely starting any time I had to drive it. Extremely rough starts, idling so rough while pouring white smoke (contacted dealer NUMEROUS times with no help) All they wanted me to do was purchase their warranty and then wait the 30 days to file a claim (that's suspicious). Now to the antifreeze issue.... there was none in the radiator!!!...why you ask? because this dealer sold me the biggest POS with a cracked head! Hence the fouled plugs, bad coil packs, the misfiring and the no starting at all!!!! I had a reputable shop diagnose it stating that the head has been cracked for a while and that the dealer most likely knew it. Oh and it burns oil like nobody's business!!! After numerous phone calls, hundreds of texts and sending videos to the dealer people they refused to help me. The first time it overheated was about 3-4 weeks in, I pulled over and called the dealer in tears, still no help! At one point, the manager at the Freemont location offered to have it towed but would need it for weeks and would not allow a loaner. I cannot afford to rent a car. My daughter and I are relying on this car, and having it run and start sometime was better than not having a car at all! Vegas is a small town, and I have spoken to several people who have purchased cars form BAJA Motors and have had similar issues. So far between the money down, oil, antifreeze (gallon every few days), a battery jump box, car payments, car insurance, paying a mechanic to diagnose it, the plugs/coil packs, UBER/Lift rides and registering it, I am out almost $4000 for a car that still has a loan on it and is sitting in the parking lot of my condo with a cracked head and will not stay running! Only lucky thing, my car insurance has roadside, so the three times it stranded me, it did not cost me anything to have it towed home or jump started. This car is financed, and even the finance company has filed a complaint with BAJA Motors on my behalf. Today is April 11, 2025 and after the finance company filed this complaint all of a sudden the dealer wants me to call them and NOW they are willing to help... Too little TOO LATE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am done with this car and the anxiety it has given me over the last few months! BTW the only reason they even get a star, is because it would not let me post without giving at least one! read more

I purchased my car (from Baja but it gets fixed at their mechanic's at Newport Motors)March of 2024. From the next day up until august, I had been to their mechanic 2-3 times a month to fix the same thing. They finally made me pay for it to be fixed. I paid $1500 for the car converter and the engine light didn't come on till I drove the freeway. So they Didn't FIX it!!! June till august they kept my car because the transmission needed to be replaced because l'd been driving it on a bad converter. I didn't want to pay half ass mechanics to fix it so l had the car towed to my mechanic who fixed it plus a faulty hose. Being that they had my car for 2 months, I was behind 1 payment. They said there was nothing they could do about it. I told their accountant that if they can defer the payment or spread it out that I will always be a payment behind because they kept my car and that's how I make the payment. So I get my car back from my mechanic on the 18th of August. I called their accountant to say that I will make a payment on or before Sept 3rd for august. Well September 1,2025 they took my car!!! I called and the accountant said I have to pay the full price remaining on the car to get it back. Basically buying it out rite. $10,394!!! If I can't pay the back balance of $400, what makes them think I could pay 10,000! Baja auto is a Scam. Do not spend your hard earned money on a lemon. That's all they sale are lemons. Reply to Daniel: you can try to shift the blame on me but you know your company sales defective cars. Maybe you should read the reviews of your customers and do better. Silk lied to me about having gap insurance, he lied to me when he told I had a reputable bank ALREADY approved. 3.They are absolutely NOT an in-house financier and will hit your credit with hard inquiries. 4. They are inconsistent with APR 's and asking for an explanation is stressing. To add insult to injury, I brought a friend/mechanic with me to have a conversation about the vehicle. While sitting in Silk's office he further offended by removing a screw driver from in front of my associate as if this BlackMan was to going to use it as a weapon & harm him. They told us too give them a chance , originally we said no but then we gave in and since we've had the car it's been in the shop a total of 2 months . I have 2 children . Had a surprising pleasant day car buying! No really, we totally did! Kennedy was such a pleasure. He's easy going, a great salesmen without making you feel pressured. We were going to leave and take a look at a few more places but it kept getting us to stay. Well he did very well because we matter the purchase. We got a great deal on a beautiful 2014 silver Volkswagen Golf. Our last car was purchased from this location 10 years ago and it was already a 10 year old car at that point. But it was a great car and still going! We were happy buying from them then and are happy to give them our business again. Having a good experience in the past with a great buy combined with Kennedy we couldn't purchase from any where else. Kennedy really worked to make sure we got exactly what we wanted with the best deal. We loved the golf but they had a few other choices at the other locations. So we drove the Golf from that location to check out a newer year at another location and ended up purchasing that one. It had a sunroof and navigation that the other one did not. Then we drove that Golf to the bank to pick up the cashier's check then back to the dealership. He was fun and we enjoyed getting to know him while on our car buying journey. He was there with us during every step and was eager to show us ever single car we wanted to check out. We are very happy with our purchase and highly recommend this location (see Kennedy of course) or any of there other 3 locations! They are the oldest mom and pop car dealer in Vegas. Soooo I didn't end up buying a car here but I went here after speaking on the phone to Jose. I told him that I had inquired about a SUV but decided not to come in because I'd spent the past 2 days at different dealerships being told that I couldn't be approved because I was unemployed until August when school starts back again. I then explained that I was getting the unemployment and that I was also a surrogate and getting paid for that so I had income. I also wanted to put down a 5K down payment. I was told with that down payment things wouldn't be an issue with me being unemployed because I could use my unemployment to show income as well as my bank statements where my surrogate money was being deposited to. I get there and he doesn't even meet with me. Instead it's a different guy Jesus and there seems to be a language barrier because he doesn't ask for anything other than my bank statements but I'm trying to tell him that no I'm also receiving unemployment and if he'd let me access that I could provide them with those statements as well. After having me wait for over an hour I'm told I can't get the car I wanted because I'd need 8K for a down payment and then he's like I'll show you another car when I clearly said I was only interested in one certain car. The car he wanted to show me had almost 100K miles on it....the car I wanted was just under 40K. Thanks for making me spend money on Lyfts to and from your business and wasting my time when I called you on the phone to first verify that what I had would work. Thank you for not being honest to try and sell me a beater car several years older than what I wanted. I love wasting my time. Especially when it's ridiculously hot, in the middle of a pandemic and while I'm 6 and a half months pregnant. It's the most fun ever. read more

Wanted to add an update to my review. I've had my car for six months now, and it's great. What's disappointing is that Baja Auto does not report on any of the three credit bureaus, which is something they don't divulge openly during the sale. Explain to me, how my credit will improve if I'm paying for a car with a high interest and even higher down payment, on time every month if it's never reported. That's unfortunate. If I would have known this prior, I would have went to another dealership. Very disappointed. The amount I gave in my down payment (be it at a fault of my own poor credit) I could have simply bought a used car. I bought my car in 2018. It allegedly is covered by a warranty. However, every time I have asked them to cover repairs on my car, I either am told it's not covered, or the pandemic has closed their garage and today it's just no response at all. I have left 2 messages w Amber and spent 20 minutes on hold trying to reach Felix. I just want to know that they will honor the warranty. Looking for auto repair but I may have to take them to small claims court in order to get one. read more

I am so disappointed at the service at this dealership. We understand that with us being in a Chapter 13 limits us to what's out there. We know we would need papers and permission to get a vehicle. All of this we already know. However, we waited for over 3 hours to be told that it would take them all day to find a deal and went home and then were told later that day that they would do in house and that we had a deal and to come in that next day. 2 reps fought over who would handle us and the new rep ended up winning the argument. I felt very bad for our original sales rep. He seemed genuine. Not only did we turn in the van we were renting through Turo, but we then caught a Lyft to their dealership to be then he told that they now couldn't work with us. They could have told us this on the phone. However, they had us come in to waste more funds and then be told no. That's not how you do business and knowing that we have a big family they tried to convince us to take an impala and small car as if we were there to settle for anything. Our credit may not be the best but please don't offer us a car when we advised them upfront before wasting our time that we needed a 7 person vehicle. Please be careful with this dealership. They smile up to the point of telling you well we cant help you. Go elsewhere with better service and honest sales reps. So lost for words. read more

I made a terrible mistake coming to Baja Auto. I was tricked, lied to, bamboozled whatever you want to call it and now I feel like a fool. I spent all day working on financing only to be told 2 weeks later that they needed me to come in and sign some paperwork so I can get access to the banks website. When I went in I was told they had to redo the contract and this time my car payment was higher. They reworked the deal in their favor. When I tried to back out I was told I would not get any of my hard end downpayment back and I would be charged for driving the vehicle. The manager lied to me about everything and made me feel very foolish. I got screwed and I hope that anyone else who is thinking of doing business with them reads this and knows that they will do whatever they can to get you in a vehicle that us true but they will review the deal and rework it so you'll come out a loser and they'll be the winner. And please dont go alone. They took advantage of me being alone and did what they wanted to. Please stay away from them. read more

Yesterday I left a fabulous review for this location...both for the sales person and sales manager. I get it. It's a business. They're in it to make money. However, when you purposely deceive your customers and lie about things, I have a HUGE problem with that! Upon arriving, we were told that there was a special that if we bought a car, we'd get free oil changes for a year (lie #1). We were sold a 2012 Nissan Sentra. The asking price was $9995 (lie #2). The sales person told me a $289 fee for scratches and interior cleaning would be optional (lie #3). When we declined that fee, we were told it was already included on ALL their vehicles. Then the sales manager comes in and says he reduced the price to $8995 to cover some of that. We left with a price we were comfortable with which included GAP and a extended warranty. Keep in mind it's a car for my son who is building his credit and who will make payments on his own. He works really hard (like you and I) for his money. After all was said and done, we go home. A few hours later as my husband was doing his own search on a car for himself, he came across my son's car via cargurus.com. The advertised price is $6,695. Yes, $3,300 less than the "original" quote. If this is how you want to be treated: LIED TO, DECEIVED, TAKEN ADVANTAGED OF...then by all means, go to Baja Auto Sales WEST on Decatur. I am furious for my son. The sales manager, is every stereotype a car salesman sleezeball is!!! He sits in his office and acts like he's some type of mafia boss while everyone seems to grovel around him. Oh!!! And when they asked me to give a Yelp! review yesterday, The salesperson said he'd throw in a few oil changes (remember, it was supposed to be a year). My husband has been laid off of his job for the last 8 weeks due to the CORONAVIRUS pandemic, he called Baja back in march to work out a deal to tack on the missed payment to the end of the loan. He has had this junky car for almost 2 years that has had multiple problems and repairs. On Friday they came to the park we were at and repossessed the car for non- payment. We told them we could pay one payment now and another payment next week to be back in good standing. Baja manager Sam said no that we would have to pay the whole balance off 12k!!! We called the police, the super nice officers could not believe they would do this during the lockdown knowing most people especially people that work on the strip are still not working. The officer gave us an attorney to contact. We will be taking Baja to small claims court for this. How shady and unhuman can a business be? read more

Two hours later went back to the lot, to look at the car . Up until the moment that we decided we were not interested in the car TJ became aggressive with her mannerisms!! She said to my 80-year-old mother , Good luck on finding a car that doesn't make noise when it runs! If I could rate Baja Auto Sales West -100 I would. This place is horrible, it's unprofessional and VERY SHADY. The sales rep, Austin, had to have been the worst sales guy I've ever came across in my life. His breath smelled as if he hadn't brushed his teeth in months, he kept smoking cigarettes right next to us, any information we would ask for he wouldn't give us and then would try to make us feel stupid for asking. Like we were crazy to want to know any information about a car before we buy it. He kept responding with, "It's great that you keep asking questions, that's what I want. It helps me." But NEVER would answer anything. He seemed like the type where he thought he knew what he was talking about but just didn't know left from right. He would talk in circles with no real facts or education to give us. Frustrating. It seems as if the goal is to get you to fall in love with a vehicle. Then after being exhausted and ready to leave and having NO INFO about any car, they intensely and quickly shove numbers into your face to make you irrationally sign a contract. If Austin wasn't such a bad sales rep, they might have gotten me with their manipulative and weird sales tactic. "Aight bet" must have been Austin's favorite response to us. It was rude and annoying, we are not your "homies", we are trying to invest into a vehicle. You should speak to clients with PROFESSIONALISM not slang talk. Austin took us to ALL of their locations having us bounce around dealership to dealership, desperate to find us a car that we would buy. He made it seem like he would be showing us the model we were interested in and every time try to convince us why we should buy a different make and model vehicle. Finally, after he wasted 4 hours of our time, he took us back to the Decatur location and tried to convince me to buy a car I told him I absolutely hated and didn't want. We sat down and Austin went to his manager where we saw the manager scribble down some made up numbers onto a piece of paper. How am I supposed to trust those numbers when I haven't seen even the MPG of the car you want me to buy? I kept insisting that I wanted to go check on my animals and eat some food before making a decision but Austin was giving MAJOR attitude insisting we buy TODAY. He kept running back and forth to his manager trying to make up a number that would "work for us". He even offered to give us a car that we liked more that was out of our budget, shoving more random numbers into my face. I had left to go take a phone call and what do you know? Austin, very annoyingly, walked up and stood right next to me on the phone. Didn't give me any space, even though I specifically left to speak privately. That was obvious, but he didn't care. All he cared about was selling that car (his breath was making want to vomit at this point btw -after another four cigarettes). I got off the phone and we went back inside, where I kept saying I was hungry and wanted time to think. So Austin had another sales rep try to seal the deal. They all stood around us and practically wouldn't let us leave! Then to top it all off, finally we leave the intense and rude sales pitch, we find out they never gave us our Divers License back! So when we come back to pick up the DL, they obviously want to sell the car. But we say we still haven't had enough time to think... The manager was VISIBLY upset and sounded pretty mad from what I could make out. He threw his hands up at Austin and said "WTF happened?!" immediately after he gave us our DL's back. The manager never acknowledged us or even spoke to us, which also put a bad taste in our mouth. I would not recommend wasting your time at this shady place, they know no boundaries and are very rude. The atmosphere is weird and the people are unkept/disrespectful, it is not worth your time or money!! read more
