Baja Taco place on Washington Blvd in Pasadena, CA is the worst. I ordered two fish tacos with a side of beans (no rice), according to their online you have a choice of two different styles of beans. I received two fish tacos with absolutely no dressing, only fish and cabbage wrapped in a corn tortillas, with rice (which I hate), my diet soda was a regular soda. I am also looking for a place to cater my husband's funeral lunch. If they can't get a single lunch single lunch? How could they every handle a meal for a 100? read more

The food was fine. Just the customer service was bad and distasteful in Pasadena . I have been supporting this business when they had their first few locations before the Pasadena location opened. I paid around $50 and tip for 2 people and I asked if I could have an extra a pepper since I ordered two meals. The lady was giving attitude, really refusing. I told her I paid for 2 meals and each meal should get peppers. Then she proceed to tell me it was one order. Hello do you not understand what was said to you. Last time I was here there was not a problem. So next time I guess I won't be tipping when that worker is working. That gentleman last time was way kinder and more professional. The establishment needs to realize that when a customer pays good money and supports the business. The workers should reflect this. Giving one extra pepper is nothing in the larger scheme of the business. Happy customers will always return. Unhappy and you get a bad review. read more

Ordered fish taco, shrimp taco and chicken taquitos via delivery app. The chicken taquitos were topped with tasty greens cheese and crema. It came with decent guac, overall very good. Will order that again. The fish taco came with a generous portion of batter fried fish, topped with slaw and crema. Also very good, though it lost some of the crunch as I had it delivered. The Shrimp taco fared better, shrimp still plump and tender. It comes with limes and salsa. Overall a great place for fish and shrimp tacos. read more

Baja Cali has multiple locations but I only been to this location on Washington in Pasadena. On the positive note, Baja Cali has great daily specials that super affordable! When they are on their A-game the food is tasty. Before they use to have a vegan menu, I did not see it this time. The house salsas (red and green) are on the milder side perfect for non-spicy eaters. If you are wondering what kind of fish is used, they use SWAI fish for their signature fish tacos. If you request it, they can grill your fish or shrimp instead of deep fry. The negatives are the food have been hit or miss and not constant in quality to include service on multiple visit. I won't go into detail to keep my review non-lengthy. However, on my recent visit they improved kinda, so I am giving 4 stars, otherwise it's more like 3.5 stars. How this place has good reviews, I'll never know. All my experiences have been terrible. My first time coming to this place was on a Tuesday. As expected it was busy but I wanted to try this place out. I ordered their famous fish tacos, along with nacho fries and I also ordered a shrimp cocktail with no cilantro and no onion. I was told by the cashier that would be "extra". Confused I asked why it would be extra for no onion and no cilantro? she looked at me like I was an idiot. Long story short, I paid, came home and opened up my food, the shrimp cocktail tasted as if it had been made with club soda (yuck!) upon further inspection it even looked bubbly. Grossed out, the shrimp cocktail was tossed out. Their tacos were okay at best(I've had better). My kid really like their nacho fries and asked to go again so against my better judgement we did. The place was empty and the staff had the music blasting (fine) I ordered, paid, rinse and repeat. Got home only to find the measliest serving of nacho fries I had ever seen. Think of thinnest layer of fries you can imagine with little topping on top, you get the picture. I checked my receipt to make sure they weren't confused with the happy hour special and nope I was charged full price. Customer service is everything to me, I can overlook a few slip ups but the staff here is downright rude. My first experience I blamed it on the place being busy but the second one the place was dead and the staff was still nasty. Sad to say I won't be going back. read more
