He also brought out our food and asked "may I get you anything else" when he brought our food. Then stopped by again to check on us. I just really appreciate good manners, it's important to me. I was excited to learn that they opened this new place in town! I usually go to the one in Costa Mesa, but they're always busy. Parking is easy, and they aren't busy here. I was disappointed because I noticed their prices are a little higher. They have a nice patio area, and the food was delivered to us. The server wasn't very friendly, and I had to chase after him all the way inside to get napkins/eating utensils from him. My guess is he needed more customer service training. The food was ok. I'll give this place another try and order my usual plates instead because the taco and nachos were just ok. read more

Order yesterday to go. Everything looked so good and since it was my first time I got a carne asada taco, shrimp taco, rice, black beans and a side salad. DELICIOUS! The rice and beans had such a delicious flavor, the best a I've ever had! I ate way too much rice than I wanted but I could stop because the flavor was so good. The shrimp taco was the best! Big, plump juicy shrimp not puny cocktail shrimp. They were so delicious I'm still thinking about the whole meal. The side salad was enough for two and so fresh and delicious with slices of avocado! The carne asada was just ok. I'll probably not get it again. Their chip were out of this world! Thin, homemade and fresh! I hate the thick ones that could chip your tooth. My friends pick up the food and just brought the green salsa. Thumbs down. I didn't like it, but everything else was delicious. I'm dreaming of when I can go back. Okay, this place deserves 6 stars! This is my second day in a row eating here for lunch, yes you heard me correctly... second day in a row. I ordered the Blackened fish unwrapped bowl with everything on it and a side of marinated onions. My favorite salad I've ever had from a restaurant. The cilantro-lime dressing is so savory and goes well with the fish and other fresh ingredients. 10/10 highly recommended! I'll be back very soon. read more

Today Wed 7/21 Abel and the female staff (sorry didn't get her name) provided the best customer service. The food was fresh and tasty! But this review is for the great staff who made the visit most enjoyable. We sat in the patio with our large group and Abel and (nice young lady) continued to check on us and remove plates as needed. During COVID times it is hard for restaurants to staff employees. Baja Fish has two great staff and we hope they continue to reward these staff who make us return each week for bible study. read more

The food here always tastes great and is served fast and hot, but the STAFF are the reason I'm writing this review. I went in close to closing on a Friday night but over the phone they were very gracious about me placing an order for take out. And when I picked it up I was in such a hurry that I forgot my keys. I had given up on finding them almost a week later and decided to call last minute before giving up completely. Not only did they remember me but they had put my keys aside and in a safe place. We ordered catering from Baja Fish Tacos in Brea for my daughter's "fiesta style" baby shower. We could not be happier! The manager, Angel, was a dream to work with. We had the chicken, green salad with 2 different dressings, rice, black beans, tortillas, multiple salsas, and a ton of chips, cheese, and pico de gallo - all in large banquet type trays - very well packed to keep it all hot and easy to manage. Everyone did their own thing making tacos, rice and beans on the side or in their tacos. They LOVED the food and kept asking where it came from. We waited for 15 minutes while the 3 ladies behind the counter just looked at us and continued to do anything besides take our orders. First time in this eatery and last time as well. My wife, daughter and I ordered fish tacos, a fish burrito, and a fish plate. The fish was thin, rubbery and completely bland. Doesn't look fresh at all, more like it was just defrosted from a freezer. For a place that carries the word "fish" in its name, the fish was gross. We expected fresh, moist and flaky fish, but were sorely disappointed by the shoe sole - that tasted more like cardboard - that was served to us. Adding insult to injury, they got the order wrong, and brought out two meals to three people waiting for food. They forgot my daughter's burrito. No big deal, but the food was plain bad. To Baja: if you really want to know how to do fish tacos, go see Rubio's, or at least, go see Del Taco and order their fish tacos. read more

This place opened fairly recently, so I figured I'd give it a try, but twice I've come in and both times I've had to wait over a half hour for my food, with it only coming after I asked about it to three different people, both times. This last time they gave me some chips for my wait, which was nice, but it's still aggravating. It's pretty disorganized, maybe just because they're new and still have to get things down. Yay! There is finally a Baja Fish Tacos open near us. The carne asada meat is very lean and flavorful. The blackened fish taco is a mild spicy flavor and is delicious with fresh lime. Best white rice from any take out place is found here too! Salsa bar is fully stocked with different salsa choices (best pico de Gallo!), spicy onions, jalapeño peppers, and limes. This location is surrounded by a lot parking options, and the staff were very friendly from the start to finish. We will be back in a week, ha! read more
