I recently had a team lunch at Baja Fish Taco, and I can't recommend this place enough! The restaurant itself is beautifully designed with vibrant Mexican aesthetics, creating a welcoming atmosphere. It's also impeccably clean, which is always a plus. The highlight for me was the fresh salsa bar, so many delicious options to choose from! The food is fantastic; you can really tell they use the highest quality ingredients. Each dish was bursting with flavor, making it hard to pick a favorite. What truly sets Baja Fish Taco apart is their exceptional service. The team is consistently professional, helpful, and accommodating. They go above and beyond to ensure your order is correct and delivered quickly, making the dining experience seamless. If you're looking for a great spot for lunch or dinner, definitely check out Baja Fish Taco. You won't be disappointed! If I could give it 10 stars I would. Every location I go to is just as wonderful as this locations. my recommendations are anything with the shrimp, the white rice and the pinto beans. Also, their guacamole and chips are fantastic.

As usual-consistent and fresh every time I come here. Service is fast and friendly. I get the shrimp soft taco..this time with a salad instead of rice (be sure to get the champagne dressing). The shrimp are big, perfectly cooked, and packed full. Their fresh salsa bar has a great variety from pico de gallo, green, and a spicy red. Ambience isn't anything exciting...you order at the counter and they bring your food to the table. The fresh guacamole and chips are always a must!

This was my first time here, but I was hoping for some bomb fish tacos! I used to love the fish tacos from Rubios in the area and haven't found a spot to replace those cravings. I've been to the boba place in that plaza and had seen this place. It smells good but had never tried it. Over a weekend my bf and I weren't sure what to eat and I was craving fish tacos so I just drove him here. They have parking on the front and seating indoors and outdoors. You walk to the front to order, self serve sauces at the sauce bar and food is brought out. This is a family friendly restaurant with a casual feel and alcohol available. We ordered a ceviche to share which came with chips. The ceviche was fresh and really good. It had a little bit of kick but not too much. I ordered the fish tacos and were really good! I will need to go back to try their beer batter fish tacos. My bf had a burrito which was big and good. Overall it was good casual quick lunch.

Still love Baja Fish Tacos. Food is great, portions are pretty good size and I love their salsa bar. I ordered the carne asada platter with rice and beans, with a scoop of guacamole. You also get a side of tortillas. Staff is very nice and always working hard to clean tables and floors. Only critique is I wish they had trays for salsa especially if you eat there instead of those tiny plastic containers. Can't barely fit one scoop of salsa. As for the onions or jalapeño forget about fitting it in there.

I was running errands and realized it was 2pm and I haven't eaten all day! Stopped in for a quick bite before I went to Trader Joe's (located in the same plaza!). To my surprise ... it was excellent service and the perfect spot for a quick bite to eat! The girl at the front was so helpful. I opted for the Ensenada fish taco and the crunchy potato taco! Both were packed with flavor! I would come here again for sure to try their other menu items. Ambiance was chill. You can order your food and dine-in or take it to go.

I love coming here. I can always count on the food coming out freshly made and alway tasting delicious! They are very welcoming, the restaurant it self is well maintained and always clean, there's someone always walking around, wiping down the tables or busing the empty plates from the Guest that have just wiped them clean because the food is so great. They have outdoor seating as well on those nice days where you can just enjoy the fresh air. The patio is a good set up and definitely has enough space for a good amount of people. The food is priced decently and you definitely get what you pay for. I definitely recommend this spot! I have yet to come here and be disappointed once

Ensenada Fish Burrito, and 2 Ensenada fish tacos

Honestly a bit disappointing considering the price. Ordered the 2 Ensenada-style fish tacos and a Ensenada fish burrito. The fish tacos were quite dry and bland, I had to douse it in tapatio but still couldn't finish. The dryness was slightly alleviated in the burrito because they add guacamole inside, but again the flavor was very one note, as if nothing was seasoned. Both were served very plainly, since they were a la carte, but it felt underwhelming considering each taco was over $5 and the burrito was close to $14. Our total bill was about $30 after taxes and tips, which just didn't feel worth the price. Lots of outdoor seating in the covered patio with ceiling fans, which would be nice in the summer. However, I personally wouldn't return.

Yummy! Came here with the kiddos, our toddler really like the chicken platter. Food is good, portions are great and they have a really good salsa bar! Kid friendly, nice outdoor patio and easy to park. Food itself is really yummy and we always end up taking leftovers home.

Baja fish tacos does not disappoint. My usual go to is the asada nachos with pico and salsa from the generous salsa bar, but today I got the baja chicken bowl and was happy with the portion size and the quality of the white meat chicken. I would totally get it again. Restaurant is always packed inside and out. Mike took our order and brought our food to our table. He was extremely nice, great customer service.

First time at this location. The restaurant is clean and the ambiance is peaceful. What I mean with this is that if there is music is soft enough to ignore it and have a conversation, and the televisions are muted. The service was quick, friendly and helpful. The food was good. I ordered tow enchilada combination plate and the meats (asada and chicken) were really good. Everyone else said their food was really good too. My daughter ordered a salad and can chose the smaller portion if chicken. They should offer a kid size serving of their food too. They don't have a kid menu and we order side dishes for my grandson and throw away half of his food.

The food was very fresh and tasty. I got the shrimp ceviche and my dad got fish tacos. Good portion for the food but it was a bit pricey for individual tacos. They did not skimp out on the shrimp! Fast, quick, service. They bring it out to you on a plate like a restaurant but this was a more casual feel.

Really like that they offer online ordering which is a breeze. I've tried their fish tacos however wasn't a big fan of it however their enchiladas are good!! The plate combos are filling and I really appreciate how they separate the beans in another container. The salsas are fresh and taste great!

Very spacious place. We had a party of 11 and we were able to put the tables together so we can sit together. Food came relatively quick. We ordered fish, chicken and shrimp platter. It came with rice and beans and tortillas. Food was pretty good. Everyone enjoyed it. The best is the shrimp. It was well seasoned. The chicken and the fish was on the dry side but it was good with some lime juice and guacamole.

Been going to the one in Norco to get my fix. So glad this place opened up here in Brea! Food here is delicious! Mexican twist on seafood, shrimp burritos are the best. Order them with black beans. Can't say much more for the other items on the menu since the shrimp burrito is all I have had from their chains. But i will be trying more food items now that they are minutes away from me. I hope this place makes it here. They have a huge indoor and a nice outdoor area. read more

Glad the Brea location finally opened. I ate pretty regularly at the one in South Coast Plaza area since I work and use to live in the area. I like that the food tastes the same at any of their locations, I've been to about 5 others. Everything is freshly made. Best chips!!! read more

Carne asada is great, on tacos or burritos. Haven't tried the other meats. Great sour cream! Chips are good. Decent guac. They have flour tortillas so ask for it if you prefer. read more

The best salsas and friendly employees. This is my favorite place to eat. Veggie burrito or a side of black beans and rice is what i order. You can make your burrito a wet burrito with red or green sauce and cheese on top. YOU MUST TRY THE SALSAS!! GO NOW!!!! read more

So disappointed with our food order tonight don't bother going into the Brea location it's worth driving to Santa Ana the rice was too greasy the kind of saw that was a little bit on the tough to chew side the guy bit our heads off when we asked for some more salsa the marinated onions weren't given to us I know Cove it is out there but food quality is really important during this time when restaurants need to stay in business but Brea Baja tacos obviously doesn't care read more

I've been looking for an authentic Mexican fish tacos!!! But don't let me leave out how amazing their beans are! To die for. This is the place for me. I loved the Ensenada fish tacos! Bomb.com! The ambience is great relaxing and very clean. The salsa bar is amazing, and labeled properly. Highly recommend this place to everyone. I'll be back hopefully everyday but I'll settle for 2 times a week. read more

Expensive menu and the food is really not worth your money. I ordered the carne asada burrito with chips and drink, $16 total. I can probably walk 2 min to El pollo loco and get a better deal and better tasting food. Thought I gave them a chance but definitely not going back. read more

Kinda bummed the kids that work here have a sucky attitude. I understand there's a lot going on right now, but to get an order wrong.... twice, to yell at a customer while your back is turned and not acknowledge them when they ask you a question is unacceptable. I've been eating at Baja in Lake Forest about once a week for years and finally we have one close to our house! Its always fresh and delicious and Tony and his crew do a great job. Love the fresh fish tacos and the carne asada. Also, best nachos ever!!! No cheese shortage there! Love the chips and guacamole with all of the fresh salsas. Called in my order and they said they "lost it" I called 45 mins ago. I asked how long it was going to take and they said "not long because there are only a couple of orders ahead of you" which is a lie because there are a lot of people here. And she should have said we will take care of yours now. Terrible customer service. This review is just about customer service and not the food. Didn't offer any solution to fix the problem or how to address it. read more

My family and I absolutely love eating at BFT in Brea! The food and the friendly service is always consistent and we've never been disappointed - we've been coming here since their grand opening a couple of years ago. We recently catered from this BFT for my sons birthday party - about 20 people - everyone was impressed by the quality and fresh flavors! The steak is always so tender and delicious! Just got chicken tacos and a carne asada burrito to-go. When we got home we started to eat the chicken tacos and the chicken did not look or taste right. We realized the chicken was still a bit frozen on the inside. Disgusting. It looked like they took the chicken out of the freezer, nuked in the microwave and cubed it. Never going back. read more

Food was good service was good Recommend the shrimp tacos However not a good place if u have kids who eat kids meals they do not have any kids meals at all the cashier said they have a quesadilla but it's not that good so she didn't recommend it -1 Star Also asked for guacamole on the side instead in the burrito and they gave me a solid frozen cup of guacamole. Instead of just giving me the fresh they put inside the burrito -1star Chips were overly salty, cold and the salsa had no flavor to it not worth the extra $3.50 couldn't use the guacamole since it was cold Husbands burrito was salty also and he was sick almost immediately for the rest of the night read more

My girlfriend and I have been eating Baja Fish Tacos since the first one opened in south OC when I was in high school. Having eaten at every Baja in Southern California I can tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt this is the best one. Our favorite was Long Beach until they opened up in Brea. The best part of that move is they sent Carlos with them. Carlos has taken amazing care of us for the past 3 years and it was such a treat to have him move when we did. Guy always has a smile and a charming disposition and it's obvious that he works his butt off because he is always at the shop! Our food always comes out fast and delicious(this location has the best cooks). Thank you Carlos and Baja for being a part of our family! read more

Wow! Outstanding amazing food! Very reasonable. I tried the tacos but I saw what others had and the Nachos look crazy. Good. The Ono Fish Tacos were buttery creamy and zingy with some of the freshest ingredients. Was even impressed with the cool looking bathroom and found it to be really clean even with a full crowd. Gotta try this again soon to make sure I wasn't just dream'n it! read more

This was our go-to spot during the quarantine because the employees were super clean, efficient, and totally on the ball. We go to the one in Brea about once a week for fish tacos and the carne asada burrito, both which are excellent. My favorite thing is the portion sizes, you can fill up very easily on just a few tacos, they load them up! read more

2nd visit...tacos last time burrito this time. Not enough flavor for my taste. Ingredients seem like basic stuff. Decent quality but very basic. I prefer more spices and flavor. If your going to do tacos with meat or chicken try places like taqueria tapatia or even tacos San Pedro for YL (found that best taco shops are in Santa Ana tho). For fish and shrimp tacos find authentic Mariscos at places like Ostioneria Bajia or Colimas...and if you want a sit down dine in experience you go to Javiers at Irvine spectrum or crystal cove plain and simple. Last option for better Mexican or Baja style cuisine is you find that friend or family member that has kitchen skills and you make everything from scratch at home! Hope this helps u foodies out there read more

the best family owned fish tacos place, anywhere, in southern california! i've been coming to most of their locations from the original in santa ana, to laguna woods, lake forest, norco, costa mesa/newport, long beach & brea! they've all been duplicable in delicious taste & flavor and service! their fresh black & pinto beans are yuuuuuuuummmmy with perfect white rice!!! onion garnish, pico de gallo, lemon & salsa bar is phenomenal! you've got to taste it to believe this review!!! read more

I could eat at this place every day. I usually go to the Costa Mesa location but I'm so glad they opened up one in Brea close to home. Their carne asada is so tender and perfectly seasoned. They aren't like other places where they give you 3 pieces of shrimp - they make sure you get what you pay for. Everything in their salsa bar is so fresh and flavorful, perfectly complementing their dishes. There's nothing on their menu that has disappointed me. Highly recommend this place! read more

I was shocked to learn one fish taco was $4. But I gave it a chance and figured it would be a good size and life changing. OPPOSITE. After waiting #likeforever, I got my one taco. It was the size of a tiny street taco. Inside was what looked like 2 sad fish sticks. The white sauce was plentiful in a bad way and flavorless. I love fish tacos, and this made me sad. If you want real fish tacos and more variety in menu, I would recommend Ensenadas on Nutwood. Was looking forward to this opening since I saw them building it, but was quite disappointed. read more

My wife and I really like Baja Fish Tacos. Our favorite has been the Carne Asade Platter and an order of chips and guacamole. It's enough for both of us to share, and we usually have some guacamole left over to take home. The Carne Asade is seasoned very well, without being too salty. They have very good salsa and I like the marinated onions. We have gone here several times since they opened, and really enjoy it. read more

Located in a run down strip mall, Cask & Hammer is a little divey bar where locals go for a drink…read more They have an extensive beer menu but surprisingly no Golden Road on the menu the day I went. It's a bit dark in here but that's okay for the vibe it's going for. Definitely not a first date kind of place. They have pool table in the back and beer is cold. All in all, not a bad place to grab a beer and relax on a weekday.

The place is smaller than i thought and there only one restroom per gender. The service was great and the staff was really nice. They also have happy later in the night which awesome. The only thing was that table were messy and there are no trash cans. The tables were littered with bottles, glasses, and pizza boxes. We had to move aside pizza boxes and bottles to get a table. The staff didn't bother coming by to clear up the table at any point through the night which was really weird. The parking lot is pretty big but then again at night only the bar and liquor store are open in that shopping center.

Day drinking in Brea,California…read more.. We originally wanted to visit Shady Nook for an hour of karaoke, but we ended up just chatting, having soft drinks, and munching on complimentary popcorn! We didn't want to disturb the other customers with our singing... haha! We could have played pinball or billiards, but we just wanted to hang out together and enjoy the calm, air-conditioned environment at opening time. We didn't have a reservation. We were the first customers of the day. Diane was our friendly server/bartender. She was cheerful and made us feel welcomed. I admired her for opening up the shop, taking our orders, paying attention to each patron, serving everyone, and cleaning up after us! She's amazing! I think we should return on karaoke night... then we can blend in... haha! We also would take another photo at the Photo Booth... and get our picture via email!

We arrived at opening and were their first few customers for the day. My cousins have been here before and love their extensive selection of stouts. I went with a flight to get a feel of their menu - stand outs for me were the viejo and son of nectron. There was ample seating inside and out. They offer a different food option each day. There was a pizza truck when we went, but by the time they set up it was time for us to head to our next stop.

Their Barrel Room is very spacious- they hold all sorts of events here. From what I gather, their bottle share events are once a quarter. So fun!

Life happened, years passed, and somehow I never made it back. Fast forward to today: I was driving my Tesla, jokingly asked Grok to take me somewhere for a beer, and it pointed me right back here. Walking in felt like revisiting a place that had been quietly waiting in the background of my story. The centerpiece is still the incredible bar. Shelves stacked floor to ceiling with whiskey bottles, glowing green tile behind the taps, warm lighting, and enough character that you can spend half your time simply looking around. It's the kind of room that feels both energetic and comfortable at the same time. I grabbed a seat at the bar, watched a soccer match on the TVs, and ordered an Old Fashioned. It arrived exactly the way I hoped it would: large clear ice cube, generous orange peel, balanced and smooth without trying too hard. Just a well-made classic cocktail. What stood out most was the atmosphere. These days I'm much more likely to be exploring hiking trails, photographing wildflowers, or driving mountain roads than spending time in bars. Twelve years ago, places like this were a much more regular part of my life. Coming back reminded me why I enjoyed them in the first place. Good conversation, a comfortable seat, a quality drink, and no rush to be anywhere else. The beer taps looked extensive, the whiskey selection seemed endless, and the entire place struck a balance between neighborhood pub and whiskey destination. Funny how a random AI navigation suggestion brought me back to a place I'd been meaning to revisit for over a decade. Glad it finally did. 5 stars.

The Irish Country Salad I posted in the pic has apples, goat cheese, candied walnuts, croutons, frisee, radicchio, drizzled with honey vinaigrette. I highly recommend this salad when coming here! Our server, Devin was pretty good despite the place was packed and he had alot of tables to wait on. My food came out pretty quick and he did check up on our table from time to time which is awesome. Never had an issue here service wise. Wednesday nights are always a fun night here with food, singing, and dancing!

The fries that came along with it were so crispy and tasty. I also tried the breaded veal cutlet, which is a German specialty. Both dishes were very good and hearty. They also have a great beer selection on draft. I went with the Spaten Pilsner, which paired perfectly with the meal. I love that each of their beers is served in its own branded glass. From their Taco Tuesday menu to their regular dinner menu, everything we've had has been delicious. Some of our favorites are the enchiladas, the hard shell tacos, and the soft street tacos. And the salsa is so good -- it's the kind you keep going back for.
