What $9 gets you. Over priced.
    Matthew A.

Service was extremely slow and unfriendly. The price is too expensive for what you get. There are way better places on campus to eat where u get more bang for your buck. For being called Bjana FRESH the ingredients weren't fresh and the meat was burnt. I will not be eating here again.

This one's on a college campus. Told me it was a 10 minute walk from where I park and it closes at 3p

Delicious burritos with fresh ingredients. Delicious food overall and very reasonably priced for the quality.

There was sauce and cheese in there somewhere but it was not overpowering, good thing. The bun was brave and made all the way without breaking up, but it was tired the last couple bites! A messy burger. You'll spend some time afterwards licking your hands clean!! The fries were the battered type. Very well cooked. Still hot and very crispy when I got back to the office with it. I will definitely get this Sonora Burger again.

I also got a side of Guac. That was yummy too. My husband had the Huevos Rancheros. They served it differently than other places. There wasn't a tortilla under the eggs. Instead the tortillas came on the side. He actually liked it this way. My son had the breakfast burrito with bacon and cheese. I don't remember what my friend's dish was called. I believe it was the special. Nonetheless, everyone enjoyed their food. My friend took us here after a friend introduced her to it.

Food was great, service was attentive despite being busy on a Sunday afternoon. The beautiful interior is largely inherited from the "El Torito" days, but the addition of posterboard mariachi cut outs next to the old art fixtures are a little jarring.

There is a tortilla lady in front making fresh tortillas with her own tip jar. Huge menu. You should be able to easily find whatever you're craving. There is a 11 AM to 3 PM weekday lunch menu on the back cover: Burrito specials on Mon & Fri Enchiladas specials on Tue & Wed Chile Relleno special on Thu DAILY Happy Hour menu for Bar & Patio area is 3-7 PM and after 9 PM. Complimentary corn tortilla chips, salsa, and refried bean dip with cheese. I loved the REFRIED BEAN DIP! I ordered the Steak a la Chicana. I didn't read or listen carefully enough that the skirt steak with sauteed onions and bell peppers are covered in Spanish sauce. The sauce is actually quite tasty with a little kick. I used it and the salsa to flavor the black beans. However, I really just wanted grilled steak. I should have ordered steak fajitas, a grilled steak burrito or quesadilla, or a carne asada plate. The Steak a la Chicana was a generous portion, which is definitely 2 meals for me. Cilantro rice wasn't anything special. The SWEET CORN TAMALITO is yummy comfort. Choice of beans: refried beans, black beans, or pinto beans. I suspect refried beans is the tastiest option. El Tapatio would be a great gathering place for friends and family. It's located on Sunrise Blvd in Citrus Heights near See's Candies and other restaurants.

If I consider all the criteria, including proximity, value, quality, and the sheer volume of visits,…read moreI would probably say Don Quixote on Watt Avenue has my favorite breakfast burrito in Sacramento. Let me tell you why. First of all the cost, they sell their breakfast burritos for only $8.50 each-these days that's super cheap. Secondly the quality-I've tried all five varieties of breakfast burritos here are my thoughts. -Chorizo 10/10 item -Bacon 9/10 item -Ranchero 8.5/10 item -Machaca 7/10 item -Veggie 6.5/10 item Chorizo-Bacon & Ranchero are generally the top three, I rotate through and all of them are just elite-I recommend them highly-taste-seasoning-volume-all incredible ways to start your day. Machaca is just ok-just not my favorite texture-wise Veggie just isn't my thing-I'm sure it's just fine for vegetarians but I'm not that,so yeah not for me. Thirdly their sauces are so incredible, they have two of the top sauces, their avocado blend and their chunky red, that are two of the best sauces I've run across in Sacramento-truly elite. Lastly I think I really enjoy interacting with their staff-always friendly, always personal, they always greet me with a smile on their face and in their voice-I really do appreciate them. Inside they have many tables if one chooses to dine inside while also having tables outside if one prefers outside dining. This is a casual restaurant,so no need to get dressed up or anything, casual dining at its finest. Parking is easily available as well as they share a decent sized lot with multiple other businesses. In closing, If you're ever in the Watt/Marconi area and want to try a quality breakfast burrito-I'd fully recommend stopping by and giving them a try-they have never failed me.
