What $9 gets you. Over priced.
    Matthew A.

Service was extremely slow and unfriendly. The price is too expensive for what you get. There are way better places on campus to eat where u get more bang for your buck. For being called Bjana FRESH the ingredients weren't fresh and the meat was burnt. I will not be eating here again.

This one's on a college campus. Told me it was a 10 minute walk from where I park and it closes at 3p

Instead the tortillas came on the side. He actually liked it this way. My son had the breakfast burrito with bacon and cheese. I don't remember what my friend's dish was called. I believe it was the special. Nonetheless, everyone enjoyed their food. My friend took us here after a friend introduced her to it.

Here's a fun, upbeat review you could post:…read more First time here, and it was for a graduation celebration. Let me tell you--they had me at the salsa. As a self-proclaimed salsa critic, I can confidently say this wasn't the usual watery, flavorless salsa that shows up at so many restaurants. This one actually had flavor AND a kick to it. One bite and I knew I was going to enjoy my meal. Then came the music. Whoever was in charge of the playlist deserves a raise because the 90s R&B was absolutely on point. Every song had me singing along between bites. Nothing like enjoying good food while being serenaded by the soundtrack of my youth. I ordered the asada and al pastor tacos, and both were delicious, flavorful, and cooked just right. I also asked for grilled jalapeños because they make everything better, and they definitely took the tacos to the next level. The service was just as impressive as the food. Our server was attentive, friendly, and gave great recommendations. He made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. Great food, great music, great service, and a great way to celebrate a graduation. I'll definitely be back--and honestly, I'd come back for the salsa and playlist alone!

Like going to your grandma's house knowing you're going to have a great home-cooked meal along with cozy comfort, and genuine, friendly service. Pastor has been my "go to" item --fatty pork cooked to tender deliciousness and served stand alone with beans and rice or in a soft taco like i had it today. Silence as soon as the food arrives as everyone is too busy enjoying their food.....Enchiladas, salsa(oh and they don't charge for chips and salsa!), fresh and made to order. Everything is good here. Metered parking in the neighborhood.

We didn't come there for that and i think it'll be a long time before I go back. I love the food, but allowing these peddlers to annoy and abuse me customers is not okay. The food is grea, the service is goo-- what a sham.

We raved and raved about it to others. We shared the steak salad (the meat was seasoned and marinated on a bed of fresh lettuce with small tomatoes & slivered radishes; the dressing beyond compare! The restaurant is a small boutique restaurant in Sacramento Midtown. A very peaceful environment and friendly service for anything you need! So if you are looking for a good Mexican restaurant I suggest Azul's. Thank you Azul for our pleasant dining. (We enjoyed our dinner more than our event - Ha!)

When we arrived,…read morewe were immediately asked by the host if we had a reservation and when we said no, we were told there were no tables.. then she said she would go check and we were able to get right in. We totally forgot with everything we have going on that day that it was dine downtown. The menu looked good, but I was already set on getting pozole so we didn't order off the dine downtown menu. Plus, we've also been here plenty of times and love it already. We were really bummed to find out that you get charged for chips and salsa and they don't come out automatically without asking and it also the charge is dependent on how many people are in your party. Also, when the chips came out, there was only one salsa, which hasn't usually been the case. We're not sure if this was just some modifications because of dine downtown happening, but it was a bummer. We ordered the taquitos for an appetizer and those were OK..nothing special. I ordered the pozole verde with chicken, which is my favorite! And my best friend ordered the Carnitas plate. My posole was really good. It came with the side of the status and all the toppings. However, the Carnitas lacked flavor and were a bit dry. Neither of us would probably order that again. We also ordered a couple of blended mockaritas, one strawberry and one mango and both were tasty, but the strawberry would definitely needed another blend as there were a big chunks of ice. I think that because of the craziness with dine downtown..service and food quality we're a bit lacking, but I will always come back to Mayahuel for the pozole verde !
