This was my first time eating at this location. I met a friend here to eat after a day off playing Pokemon go. It's located in the same plaza as office max and a few other shops, so there is a good amount of parking. The restaurant itselfis roomy and had a lot of seating. I went here midday on a Sunday and there were a decent amount of customers here. My friend ordered the chicken salad and I ordered the Mama Sundance salad. My friend's salad came out before mine. I waited a while and still did not receive it. I believe they forgot about it because after I flagged a worker, it was brought out to me within a few minutes with the excuse "the chicken had just finished cooking". Funny since my friend ordered a chicken salad also and received their meal 15 minutes before me. The salad was decent. There were a lot of toppings and the dressing was good. I had to ask for chips also. Overall, it was decent. Customer service was decent, besides the wait time hiccup. I don't know if I'll be back, but if I do, I will order something different. read more

After a disappointing online order, we were given an opportunity to try Dos Coyotes again, and this time we decided to dine in. I'm glad we did. The young lady at the register was wonderful. She had a bubbly personality and genuinely seemed to enjoy her job. Her positive attitude made a great first impression. The young man who appeared to be a manager was also very helpful. He helped us reposition our table so my wheelchair was not sticking out and blocking the walkway. When I asked if there were any spoons available, he was quick to help. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit. The staff made a difference, and we appreciated the care and kindness they showed. Thank you for giving us a better experience. read more

The 6 shrimp were seasoned well but kinda small. If they were cut up maybe they would feel bigger? Other than that the portions of all the other items was a good amount. Overall like this place. Workers are very friendly and great. Our go to are the tacos and quesadilla, which are both very good. Really wanted nachos tonight, though. Remember being pretty unimpressed before, so I tried the Santa Fe version. They were not flavorful at all, which I was hoping the sauce would help with. It did not. The chips are suuuper thin, like Taco Bell thin or maybe even thinner and only the very top ones are crispy. Notice the stack underneath- only the very top has toppings. Bella Bru has the best nachos from my experience, but they are not the traditional flavor and family didn't want to go there. One star for this dish. Decided to check this place out as I was in the area. I ordered the Border Burrito Bowl. Flavor-wise, it was really good and it's definitely a good value. The ambiance is what you'd expect out of a Mexican chain restaurant. The staff were nice and friendly and the service was quick, which I definitely appreciated. That being-said, I did ask for several ingredients to be left out, and unfortunately, everything I asked to remove was still in the bowl. I didn't notice until I was a few bites in, which was frustrating. I get that mistakes happen, and the food itself was tasty, but it kind of takes away from the experience when a specific order isn't followed. Although I've eaten here off and on throughout the years, I am reviewing on the most experience my co-workers and I had. Quite a few of us randomly decided to swing by since it was close to our office on a Thursday roughly after 12pm. Ample parking and a fair amount of seating both inside and immediately outside the establishment. I decided on the shrimp burrito. Although the burrito was very filling and delicious, I wasn't particularly fond of the salsa i grabbed. It was rather on the sweet end. I knocked it down 2 stars due to observing inconsistent means in bringing food orders to everyone. Although it is understandable for staff to have some difficulty bringing food to everyone when we're all sitting in various areas, they'd probably benefit from having a sort of ticketing system displayed outside when their food is ready (or a loud speaker. By the time we were all practically done with our meal, one co-worker was still waiting for his meal and had to go to the front, receive an incorrect order and ended up just taking it home to go. I recently sampled Dos Coyotes' Green Chile Stew at a fundraising event, and I came back on a weekday for lunch to get my fix! The service was quick and attentive, and to my surprise, my partner and I were able to order lunch for two for under $30! We dined in, and inside is well kept with unique Southwest decor and finishes. In addition to the Green Chile Stew, we also ordered the Yolo Mango burrito which came with chips and salsa. The salsa bar had lots of options, and the salsa Verde packed the right amount of heat. Our meals were not just well priced, but also delicious. This is about the cashier with pink hair today (5/14/26) 7pm. Food is amazing as always, I'm not here for that. However, upon opening the door I was greeted with the rudest stare down from the cashier. I didn't care to remember her name because I was about ready to walk out with that attitude. Both cashiers were very friendly and welcomed be upon entering. I personally love the steak nachos here and that's what I usually order but I was post workout so I got a market burrito added steak. I don't know what seasonings they use, but I always like their steak. Sometimes I add shrimp too but it gets pricey for a burrito. Lisa was very patient and helpful because I was indecisive. I was going to take it to go and sit outside to eat but the place felt comfortable and clean so I ended up staying this salsa bar was stacked. I haven't had Dos Coyotes in several years, but a coworker wanted this for lunch so Dos it was. We ordered online via their website for pickup. Ordering was super easy, and while I wasn't the one picking it up, the person who was, left and came back quickly so the order was prepared pretty fast. I will say no utensils were included in the bag, which was a bummer since I ordered a salad. I know, a salad from a Mexican spot is weird, but summer is coming, don't judge me lol. I did ask (and paid) for extra dressing for my Yin Yang salad but did not receive it. The salad was a decent size. I like the crisp jicama but the bell pepper and bitterness of the snap peas were a turn off and will probably omit if the office decides on this place again. They serve a large tortilla at the very bottom of the salad which was a bit odd to me. It served no purpose and just added height to the salad making it appear larger than it really was. It also absorbed the minimal dressing I did have. I guess you can try and unfold the tortilla with the mound of lettuce sitting on top and try to make a salad burrito??? Considering I was eating at my desk, should I had tried to do that, it would have made a colossal mess. Overall, for a chain spot, it's a decent option. We were in town for a day and a half and decided to check out this Dos Coyotes location. We've been to the ones in Davis and they never disappoint. I loved how spacious this location is and it's very easy to find parking especially with shade. There are plenty of seats. The service was magnificent and the cashier even came to my table to help me carry the drink cups. I thought that was very thoughtful! The ambiance is casual and relaxing. We went there during lunch so there were a lot of people coming ti eat during their lunch break. The four stars is because of the food. My chicken burrito wasn't as tasty as I thought it would be. It tasted bland and some of the chicken was burnt. I've had better southwestern chicken burritos. What made up for this was the salsa bar. The hot sauces were our favorite. Overall I would go to the Davis location and go to this location when I'm on a work trip again! read more

Does anyone know what is happening to Dos Coyotes? East Sac location I have been dining at Dos since they opened the original in Davis. Ordered take out. Green chile stew Steak Border burrito Side of rice. Rice wasn't cooked. It was very crunchy. Steak very chewy, fatty, and gristly. Green Chile stew was more like soup and not a stew. Whenever coming back from an out of town trip, Dos was the first thing I wanted to get after getting home. Not sure about that anymore. Unfortunately, my experience today was quite unsettling. I placed an order to Go for a bowl with salmon on the side. The salmon was folded and put into a small cardboard container, a cup. The fire roasted corn, as advertised, was warmed in a pot, not roasted. I showed the salmon to the manager and they offered a redo. But, note, she didn't think anything was wrong with the presentation as it was. It took longer to fix another piece than the wait for my original meal. They also, put the corn on the grill. Finally, I thought all was cooked and cared for properly so, I didn't look at the food before leaving. I thanked the manager, and told her I appreciated them taking the time to make my meal right (with a smile) Well, home I go and the tiny piece of salmon was way over cooked, dry and unappetizing, as was the one in the cup. I drove back and met the General Manager that said, for him, the salmon looked fine even in the cup. said, he wasn't into visuals. I comment, I was. I simply asked for my money back. No hassle with that. They will never get my business again. Shame on service now and lack luster treatment of its guest that keep there doors open. I used to go to this location often but with time and staff changes it just isn't as good. Unfortunately my last 3 meals here have been disappointing. The meat tastes charred, not grilled, there's stray spicy bits when I wasn't expecting them (which indicates utensils are not being isolated based on spice, potentially a little dangerous for allergy sufferers like myself) and they think huge spiny spinach leaves are salad greens. Fun fact: no. They're spinach. Not everyone wants that. It's honestly a little annoying when you're expecting a mix. Overall kinda mid. Also hasn't had a renovation in years and given the permit for the new alcohol license on the window, I can reasonably assume they'll need space for a bar, but there isn't any? I came in not long ago with my twin boys. I tried all sorts of food like the Yacutan salad. It was okay. Nothing special however my standards are quite high because I have tried many Mexican restaurants. The ambiance was blue and lively which was sweet and I recommend for mothers. But, if you want a candlelit dinner date this is NOT the place. I realized that the servers are quite gloomy. Especially someone named Preston.
