I waited 24hrs to write this review just to make sure that I wasn't over reacting. The chicken nachos that I ordered had NO chicken. When I called to inform them of the mistake, I was told by the cashier that she saw the cook put the chicken in the nacho plate. I repeated my statement, and again she said no I saw the cook put the chicken in the order. Without any type of apology for the inconvenience I was told that I needed to bring the plate back to the restaurant which I did. When the cashier inspected my plate with skepticism, I asked her where was the so called chicken that she saw the cook put on the plate??? Mind you I still have not received an apology at this point for the honest mistake or for having to come back to correct my order. Yet she took the plate and tossed it on the trash wasting good food?! Even after the plate was remade they somehow managed to mess it up again by not including the same amount of added rice that was on the original order. Maybe this was them giving me the finger for wanting my order done correctly. I guess this is a sign of the times we are living in. Not sure if I'll be going back to this location again. read more

This place gives you way too many trays if you dine in. Came with an IRL pal and got a tray each for our chips. We then got our food which were also on their own individual trays. That's 4. I got an additional order of quesadillas and that came on its own tray. Somehow we ended up with 5 trays between the 2 of us. There was more tray than food at our table. I've never been so triggered in my whole life. Except for that time I dreamt my BFF slept with my mom and never so much as called her again but this is up there. I don't understand how the franchise owner of this location does not care who works for him/her, all the IQ's combined with all the employees there, wouldn't be equivalent to a new born baby. I order a dinner online to pick up at 8:30. I get there at 8:25 and the clerk says he can't find my order. There was only one person up front and the store looked like the staff had decided to close early. The clerk finally finds my order but the cook is in back. The cook hadn't seen my order but starts to prepare the plate and extras. But as the clock is ticking, he still hasn't put my 2 fish filets on the grill. The fish filets are the LONGEST item to cook in the order. Why on earth would the cook wait until last to put them on? I called out to him to ask where the fish filets were and he looked confused. He had either forgotten or he thought I had ordered something else. Q: How does this type of incident happen with a watchful and alert manager up at the front line? A: It does not happen with an alert manager up front because any good manager is concerned about customer satisfaction which is the polar opposite of what I got. I doubt I will be able to eat at ANY Baja Fresh for quite a while after dealing with these people. There's plenty of competition out there for good food these days and like the huge number of 1 star reviews indicate, this place has gone down. I still feel like Baja Fresh is pretty underrated. They've always had the best cheese/chicken quesadillas and I'll just explain why. Their plates literally come with sour cream AND guacamole. Rare to find a place that doesn't charge you extra to have guac and that's tippable. It also comes with chips and if I had to make any complaint, it'd be that they barely give you enough chips but the overall food quality makes up for it. read more

The staff is friendly. The place is clean. The food was good. Ordered the Ultimo Chicken Burrito. All had good flavor. The chicken was juicy, the roasted veggies were al dente however it had way too much mushy rice - no bueno. Overall would go again but maybe have them go easy on the rice and add more veggies. Also notice that Baja Fresh has introduced a B.Y.O.B - build your own burrito. You can take an order slip and check off what you would like in your burrito. Chicken fajita. Was totally uncooked. The onions were totally raw. Couldn't eat them. The chicken had no flavoring at all . The bell peppers were few and not grilled either. Wasted all the money. We recently made the mistake of getting takeout from this location again and this time was even worse than the previous. The manager, Chris, is beyond incompetent and has no business working with the public. I had ordered the Baja Chicken tacos but was given a completely different order. I called them to let them know of the mistake, I was being kind and just wanted my order fixed. The phone was handed to Chris who answered with an attitude. I explained that I was given the wrong order but he kept talking over me and saying he took my order and it was the what I ordered. At this point I raised my voice because he just wouldn't let me speak to which he began yelling and told me I was "stupid" and to "shut up and don't call back!" This review is about the staff at the register, super rude and talks back to unhappy customers stating their right and your wrong type of thing. I guess they never heard of customer service, and the customer is always right. They refused to make the sauce the chicken tortas used to come with. Our favorite thing to eat at Baja, totally ruined by adding cheese. I've had the sauce made for me at a different Baja before, they already have all the ingredients it takes a couple of min.to make. I've come here many times over the years, and tonight, I was craving a steak burrito. The interior has been nicely updated since my last visit and I cheerfully ordered the Baja steak burrito, enchilado style (for an additional $1.99). Total with small drink + tax is $13.11 The burrito should have been called the Pico de Gallo burrito because it was way overloaded with little chunks of tomatoes and sparse with small cubes of meat. To my complete astonishment, I like this place, even though it's tex-mex food. But, I have to say, it's at the top of the barrel for casual, pseudo-mexican food. I ordered the shrimp, lime salad, and it was perfectly grilled, seasoned and came with big, grilled vegetables, with fresh chips. First time, last time. I looked at the menu before getting there, so I was feeling fairly confident. When I walked in, lots of differences. I wasn't super surprised, but nonetheless not enthused. I asked the register worker what she thought of the chicken tortilla soup. Shrug. Got it, but I was craving even mediocre soup, I could always make it work. No chicken. Worse, didn't even taste like chicken. The soup was a thick and congealed. It had a flavor I can't even describe. That far off. I'm spoiled, I've had amazing chicken tortilla soup but, like I said, I was even prepared for bAd soup. But this was beyond. Can I get a Chicken Mexicano Burrito? (Several styles of burritos, one of which is the Mexicano) Straight forward order, comes with chips. Simple. Next, asked for a a taco combo, she asks what kind? Chicken. One soup and one chicken taco? No, the taco combo (this is two *tacos of your choice with rice and beans). Good, the taco combo, rice and beans. Yes, and the chicken burrito. Oh, yes, the burrito, too. So at this point, I'm not super confident at all. The burrito, maybe, but nothing else. So, there's several styles of taco, just like burritos. I asked her if she was clear on which style I wanted (Baja, Americano, Wahoo, or Quesadilla style, of which I took a chance on quesadilla, an extra charge but I hoped worth) In the end, the Chicken Mexicano Burrito and chips came out as ordered. The soup, as before stated, was a total mess. A very disgusting mess. The Chicken Quesadilla style tacos turned into Steak Baja tacos... So disappointed with Baja Fresh. My friends and I placed our order thru Grubhub, I got the confirmation and time it will be ready. We got there, maybe 10 minutes after the time it should have been ready. I waited in line since there was a gentleman ahead of me asking for his order, not ready yet said the person behind the counter. The gentleman said I've been waiting for 30 minutes. I was thinking to myself, hmmm...not a good sign. I then asked for my order, not ready. Fine! I moved away from the counter to give a chance to the next person in line, in the meantime, there were a couple of people who are also waiting for their orders. Waited for another 10 minutes and I went to the counter again to ask and showed my phone confirmation, the man behind the counter checked his electronic pad and said he doesn't have my order. I asked how do I get my money back, he proceeds to look for it again and in the map above the confirmation he saw Wahoo, and told me you ordered from Wahoo which is next door. I was getting more frustrated and mad but I insisted that I ordered from them and would not go to a place where I did not order food. Lo and behold, he found it after scrolling further down on his pad. No, apologies or anything and told the cook to rush my order, he said give me 4 minutes, of course it was longer than that. In the meantime, it was so chaotic behind the counter where the food were being checked and packed and the line outside was getting longer every minute. I was going to leave a tip but with the aggravation and waiting, I didn't feel they deserve to be tipped. Never again will I go back to that Baja Fresh. The person handing over the packed order was the one who apologized. They need to have a system in that store so people don't have to wait a long time for their order. read more

The food has been fine the last several visits I made. However, on my last visit, the service was so rude and dismissive and the cashier was arguing with me about a coupon that wasn't applied. I wrote BF corporate because it says they love to hear from their customers. Well...that's clearly not true because they never even wrote back. Not even a form letter? I'm done with Baja Fresh. I have ordered and patronize this Baja fresh for many years but recently they have gone downhill and don't stand behind their products and services. I recently ordered a simple Baja fresh Insalata salad they in listed a third-party delivery which was DoorDash with a driver name Edoardo who was recorded on my camera is delivering the order then taking it back and then reporting to BajaFresh that he couldn't find the address? Baja fresh responded by stating sometimes that happens and the drivers just eat it? My only request was the normal one which would be to receive a refund for the already over priced item I paid to have delivery of $21.63. This has been going on for two weeks and no one's owning up to it Baja fresh or Door Dash and I have had to file a fraudulent claim against the business and their practices. This is about principle people. We should not tolerate the overpriced services we receive with the diminished quality , in this case lack of receipt of the item! I only order food now from established professional businesses that support and stand up for their own products and practices and take responsibility for their deliveries. read more

Out of all the Baja Fresh I've been to I feel like this location always had the freshest food and has a better taste to it. Whenever I'm craving a burrito or taco this is my go to place. I usually get either fish or shrimp and it doesn't have any bad smell to it. read more

Always good and always fresh. Service is good and the restrooms are clean. Parking can be tight in the small lot but there's plenty of metered parking. Don't park in the Coffee Bean shopping center and walk here, your car might not be there when you get back! Food is awesome here and the salsa bar is fresh and clean. I was in the mood for a chicken ultimo burrito and it really hit the spot. Forgot to order it grilled and it started falling apart so I had to eat it with a fork & knife like a typical gringo. I enjoy having Baja Fresh always fresh and delicious. I usually get the steak fajita and it's always on point. Vegetables are grilled nicely. I love the chips and salsa I can just have that alone. Last time I got the bbq chicken salad all ingredients very fresh and bbq dressing went well. I'm disappointed that a lot of the locations have closed and their is only a few left around me. Does one ever really crave Baja Fresh? If they do, I am not really one of those ones, but last week while waiting for an oil change, a very strange sensation came over me that people often refer to as... hunger. Actually starving is a little more accurate which explains why I went here. My options on this corner were pretty slim and included a McKeeDees, which, I ain't gonna lie, I strongly considered, but no, let's not go there, be good, be good. I then scanned the surround and saw this place and remembered coming here way back in the day when I worked for Warner Bros Records. Did I remember it being oh so very amazing, hmmm, not really, but I didn't remember hating it, so let's give it a go! I decided to go with a Baja grilled fish taco and a fried fish taco... so much for healthy. After waiting for a bit, my number was called and two ginormous tacos were all mine for the devouring. And when I say ginormous, I do mean ginormous. These things were huge and dripped down my arm, in my lap and thank god I was there alone and the place was fairly empty, because whoa Nelly, that really wouldn't have made for an appetizing sight if anyone was eating near me :) In the end, I was nice and full off two tacos and a root beer and made my way over the Easy Lube to get told I needed $200+ worth of work on my perfectly running car. I have been to my fair share of Baja Fresh's in my day. I have come to expect the same quality, and same type of meal from each and everyone of them, and today was no different. It is your typical, upscale, fast food Mexican restaurant. Tacos, Burritos, Fish Tacos, Tostada salads, and nachos. Today I went with the Mexican Wet Burrito, which comes with beans(I ordered black beans, but you have a choice,)rice, salsa(hot or mild, of course I chose HOT,) and I ordered Steak, but you can get ,Carnitas, Chicken, or Shrimp I believe. Laura, the nice young lady at the register, then asked if I wanted to add chips and guacamole for another $.99, I should have stopped there, but for some reason I also ordered a Baja Crispy Fish Taco. The burrito was huge, tasty and I actually forgot how big it was. When you order it WET, that means they pour their delicious enchilada sauce all over the top of it, and your chips on the plate, and melt cheese all over it. And I still have a side of Chips, Guac, and a Taco?? The steak is always seasoned the same, not the greatest, but it has a good flavor, could use a little bit more salt and lemon. The guacamole was the best thing I ordered. I love theirs, you can tell they make it fresh, because there are still HUGE chunks of avocado in it. The taco was so-so, nothing that I would order again. It had a decent flavor, but by the time I got to it, it was a little soggy from sitting in the tomatoes, and the sauce they put on it. They also have a fresh salsa bar, with spicy and medium sauces. I love their salsa, but I think it's time to step up to one degree hotter, and call it caliente. Food-3.5 I can tell you this was one of the cleanest ones I have been to in a while. There was a young lady walking around sweeping up, clearing off the tables, and wiping down the salsa bar the whole time I sat there. She was asking people if they wanted refills of their drinks, or salsa, or needed anything else. An elderly group of gentlemen even added a few people and asked if she could put some of the tables together and she went over and made it happen. She actually refilled my lemonade, took my extra tray, and brought me extra napkins, but I think that was because she could see my burrito was making a mess of me. It did take a little while to get my food, which wouldn't have been good if I didn't have a 45 minute lunch, but then again, it is made fresh!!! Service-5 I don't actually go out of my way to go to Baja Fresh, but I do go there a lot. It's affordable, it's good food, and they are located in a lot of places. Been coming in here for years and years. I like the employees, the location, the physical restaurant and all that. But today I ordered a tostada to-go, and it was the SALTIEST thing I've eaten in years. I don't know if the pounds of excess salt came from the salsa, the beans or EVERYTHING IN IT, but there isn't any excuse for putting out food with so-much-salt-you're going-to-fucking-KILL-somebody, EVER under ANY circumstances. This experience was so horrible I'm considering "ending it" with this location. On top of all that, the salsas were very neglected at around 1:30 pm, which doesn't seem right. The pico was almost at rock bottom and the one off to the left---the one that's kind of a combination of red and green and pretty spicy, had the tool that people use to pick up the cilantro, upside down in it, with the germy side that people touch completely submerged. I mean, after what I told you about the salt, I doubt anybody would have wanted to eat any of this crap in the first place, especially if they knew how badly and carelessly it had been prepared, but now you also have the sanitary considerations to add to the stew. read more

I had my soup to go, took at least 15 mins just to get my soup, and the people working there sems not to be enjoying their job. Even the manager was like he hated his job. Not a place to go again... I've been coming to this location for as long as I can remember. The food is always consistent and delicious. I also really appreciate that this location is usually pretty clean. When I worked as a PA, I often came here for catered office lunches and the employees even made that an enjoyable experience (usually ordering for 30+ people is far from enjoyable!). They always worked with me suggesting how much and what to order to fit my budget. Thankfully those days are long behind me. Oh and one time I left my phone behind at the register when ordering, not realizing until like two hours later after they were already closed. To my surprise, they still answered their phone and after proving it was my phone, was able to come and pick it up right away. I was super thankful! read more

One of the best things about living in LA is the really good Mexican Food. The food here is good, it's that fresh mex. When I go here, it's has a Zankou Chicken right next door, so when I don't feel like mexican food, I head next door. I ate here today for lunch, I got the baja salad, it was fresh, the dressing wasn't that good, I like the balsamic dressing I had last time. I do like the hot salsa, which wasn't that hot but tasty. I go here couple times a month, it's usually not to busy and the food comes quickly. read more
