It's rare that I crave for dessert, but when it comes to this shop I have my eyes on everything. The avocado che drink is a must here - it consists of jello and avocado in the sweet coconut milk. I also ordered the pandan durian layers, taro cake, and palm sugar cake. Glad they are not sold out this time around. With the constant stream of customers flowing in, they still managed to fulfill the orders quickly. It's got a big space with about a dozen tables. Water is available next to the straws and utensils.

Came here because reservations for another restaurant in the same plaza was super long. I was glad to have found this right in the corner that offered Vietnamese desserts. Upon entering, I saw a sign that said Soft Opening. I saw that it does look newer, everything was clean and well organized. It was cool and I like the way the food items were displayed, as well as their menus were easy to read. We got the specialty one and the avocado one. The speciality che was definitely the favorite as it had a lot of toppings and the peanuts add such a fragrant and good crunch. The avocado one was rich and creamy, but flavors weren't as complex. On a nice summer day, these desserts and che will hit the spot. Only thing was that the cashier took my money aggressively and that the restroom had no toilet paper. Other than that, nice Vietnamese desserts shop to visit.

Went when they had their BOGO promo for the Che Thai, and I must say, for the amount of orders they had, service was pretty quick!! The employee who helped me was also very kind and courteous. This was actually my first time trying the che from Bake and Che, and the Che Thai is pretty good! Not too sweet, and definitely refreshing to eat when you add ice. I especially liked the longan, jackfruit and red water chestnuts in it!

It's usually pretty busy so expect a line and ordering. I do wish that the menu included descriptions of each item. I asked about one of the items, and while the staff was friendly and welcoming, she had a difficult time explaining what was in it. This location is much more spacious than their other one, and it seemed clean and well-maintained. I enjoyed the dessert so despite the wait, I'd definitely come back.

This is your mom's favorite Che, but make it modern. We came on a Sunday afternoon and there was a line to the door. It moves quickly, but the shop gets pretty busy. My mom and aunt got the house special and we also tried their sora coconut jelly. Pricing is approximately $8 a dessert and made to order. My fiancé really enjoyed the coconut jelly. The one in the fresh coconut is better imo compared to the glass jars

This is the second time we've visited this location. You can order ahead through online or order in store. I suggest online unless you want to see if they have a special going on. The first time the line was outside the door and thankfully it was not too much of a wait. We ordered soo much and had to wait an additional time. Lots of people ordering. This second time, we ordered ahead and came during the middle of the afternoon. Was in and out in less than five minutes. We ordered both the Bake Bánh and Dessert Che (Drink). Ambiance it gets busy especially when they have promotional specials. Tables can get sticky and dirty throughout the day, so choose when you want to come if you want to eat there. Che Faves: Pandan Grass Jelly (tastes a little like coffee) and I had the option for ice to be put on the the side so can regulate if I wanted the drink watery. I end up putting ice in the beginning and when I had 1/4 of the drink left. I hate it when ice melts and drinks becoming tasteless. You won't get that with their drinks. We've also tried the three colors and avocado one. I'll stick to my Pandan Grass Jelly. Baked Bánh Faves: These have like a mochi texture so if you are one of those people with texture issues be aware it can get chewy. But it's worth it. You can eat it warmed up or room temperature. B1: Palm Sugar. Not everyone's taste but I like it. It is not too sweet at all B3: Cassava. This is my #1. It stays true to how Cassava should taste and the texture is on point. I get more of this one than anything. B4: Taro. This one is good as well. The Taro makes this one less chewy because it's sort of like a filling. Still good and not too sweet. Do not compare it to Ube Filipino desserts, because it does not taste like our kind of Ube. B6: Flan Cheesecake: This was good. It's not like the Filipino kind but close enough. Worth a try. They also put syrup on the side. Jello: J1: Pandan Coconut: Best one to get. Their jello is not like American Jello. There's more of bite to it. It's still a good texture. Just doesn't dissolve easily like American JELLO. J3: Longan: This one was a weird one for me. I know how fresh longan taste and how the ones in a can also taste. This doesn't taste of either. You get 3 Logans per jello. Try it and let me know what you think. Will I come back? YES, even though it's like a 45 min drive OC traffic!

Got the house special, which overall I was not particularly impressed. Though you can smell & taste the durian flavor, it was overpowering and wish there were actual durian pieces instead. And I only got one piece of jackfruit, boo. The longan jelly wasn't bad, the jelly was on the stiffer side (not the classic jello texture). Appreciated the many longan pieces in that! I'd be down to come again and try their other offerings. On the plus side, the place is clean with plenty of seating. And parking lot available.

Delicious dessert all around. I just think the flan is definitely overpriced. I love Vietnamese dessert and the house special has durian! Serving out the food was fast, it was the waiting in line that is the long part. Sometimes they just get a long line and then could be empty right after. Nice place to sit and enjoy dessert since they have enough tables for that.

#1 House Special Chè Đặc Biệt
    Mai H.

Stopped by Bake & Che after lunch for dessert. This location seemed noticeably bigger than the other one I've been to, and surprisingly, it wasn't nearly as busy. The other location always seems to have a line every time I visit, so it was nice being able to walk right in. I ordered the C1 House Special Chè Đặc Biệt, and it was exactly what I was looking for after a meal - a refreshing and sweet (but not overly sweet) dessert. The shop itself felt clean and spacious, with plenty of seating if you want to hang out and enjoy your dessert.

Always tasty! This was my first time at this location, but they're certainly consistent in their quality and flavor, as my avocado dessert cup was as good as always! The service was incredibly quick, I had my drink before I finished paying, and this location was clean with plenty of seating. If you haven't yet then you should, and I hope to see you there. :)

Convenient location next to Oc & Lau + affordable yummy desserts. I ordered their che thai and coconut dessert.

    Alexa T.

I wanted Che ba mau and that's what I got! I had it less sweetened and with ice inside vs on the side. It was $7 exact. There was a good amount of everything inside.

Drinks are refreshing. It's too bad they don't actually come in the cup or container that is posted on their links. Ice given in a separate bag and have to mix the drink together i might as well become an employee if Im doing half the work. Other than that drink is very tasteful

I was worried the pandan flavor was going to be mid and subtle, but each bite had a great pandan flavor. I had a bit of a drive back to my hotel, so I was advised to order mine frozen. I'm glad I took the staff member's advice because by the time I got to my hotel and finished dinner, it had thawed out perfectly. It was still cold-ish, room temp in the best way possible. SERVICE: 9/10 Great customer service! Upon arrival, the staff member who helped me was very nice. I was indecisive about what to order, so I really appreciated that she gave me a rundown and some suggestions on their most popular dishes. Most importantly, I appreciated her concern about my dessert melting by the time I got back to my hotel. If it wasn't for her and her advice to order the dessert frozen, I wouldn't have known and probably would've ended up with a deconstructed dessert. The way she packaged my dessert was also very helpful and considerate. AMBIANCE: 9/10 Definitely a cute place, and I can see this being a great go-to spot for groups. The Matcha Latte was easily my favorite thing here. Super flavorful, sweet without being overly sweet, and dangerously easy to drink. I finished the entire thing so quickly that I genuinely wished I had ordered two. The Matcha Foam Coffee was also really good, especially if you want something with a stronger coffee kick. The bao buns were smaller than I expected, but I liked trying all the different fillings. The Combination Bao Bun was my favorite since you get a mix of the different meats and flavors in one bun. The Quail Egg Bao Bun was another standout. The egg itself is great, and I liked how the flavor carries throughout the bun instead of just tasting like a separate filling in the middle. The BBQ Pork Bao Bun had good flavor and a tasty bun, but I definitely wish they were a little more generous with the meat. The Salted Duck Egg Bao Bun was still good, but the saltier filling wasn't quite as enjoyable for me compared to the others. Definitely more of a specific flavor preference. I also tried the grilled pork banh mi and really enjoyed it. The bread has that nice firm exterior while still staying soft enough inside, and the pork is flavorful with a solid amount of meat. Others in our group ordered the Crispy Roast Pork Banh Mi as well, so there are plenty of savory options if you're not just coming for the bao. Service is quick and pretty straightforward, with part of the experience being self-service. It definitely helps if you speak Vietnamese, but overall everything moves fast and it feels built for picking up a bunch of food and heading out.
