I really enjoyed going to manmi bakery over the weekend. Manmi is a local bakery that specializes in korean bread/baked goods/cakes that seems to be run by a family. Sweet potato Bento Cake: 8.5/10 - soft not too sweet. They have a variety of different Korean breads sold here for a fair price compared to all the other cafés around Koreatown. I also bought a green bean bread just to see what it tasted like and was surprised because the taste wasnt too sweet and had a great balance of flavor and sweetness to it. I would rather buy the bread here rather than some other places because some other places are too sweet or too expensive for what it is. Reminds me of the older days. Nostalgic memories. Staff is run by what it seems to be a family and they are so nice and attentive. They have like two tables outside to sit if you wanna dine in. To use a debit card or a credit card your total needs to be $10 or greater Parking - they have a big lot to park in for free.

Manmi Bakery has a nice variety of breads. I just stopped by to grab a few, and everything looked fresh and appealing. It's a nice place for a quick visit, and I'd definitely come back to try more.

Service was very sweet and fast. The butter cookies were my favorite. I forgot most of the names of the breads I got but they were all good. Parking was free and plenty.

chocolate cake, pound cake, fruit bingsu, sprinkle cookies

they have the most authentic bingsu i was surprised how amazing and flavorful it was and all the pastries in the bakery are delicious! 11/10 would recommend to anyone wanting a sweet and well-made treat. the mini cakes and the pound cake were perfect and the owners were very helpful and friendly as well!

Manmi Bakery is located near BDC Tofu in the: Western Plaza Shopping strip mall. This bakery is the second location to their Garden Grove location that's known for : Cream Puffs. Besides their famous cream puffs, their traditional Korean sweet breads and cakes are stellar. My favorites are the Chapssal donuts (chewy rice flours donut ball filled red bean with chestnuts), sweet potato pastry, and Azuki bean sweet bread. The cream puffs are rich and custard filled- heavenly. Cash and Credit accepted . Parking: plenty in a large private lot.

Really a great store! I had to go in early in the morning to pick up a cake for later that night and needed something that would hold. They suggested the cheesecake cake (cake on the bottom, cheesecake on top). It was beautifully decorated. They provided the plastic knife, candles and matches too! Very very complete and thoughtful. They let me pick out 1 pastry as a gift! Everything was freshly made and was super tasty!

Great lil mom-and-pop bakery! Service is great and has a large shared parking lot. This is a no-frills kind of bakery. Generally, what they offer aren't fancy but are solid basic korean-style pastries. I especially like their white bean pastry. And my goodness, they do not skimp on their fillings! Just that alone will have me coming back. Haven't gotten their cakes but they look nice and are fairly priced. They also sell coffee and korean shaved ice, which I'll have to try one day! I'll keep coming back as long as they're open :)

had to pick up a birthday cake and saw this little bakery close by w good reviews! I went in early afternoon on a Monday and there were a few people outside but no one inside. I saw it was a fairly small bakery, but the cake selection was p good! it had a nice quaint feeling of a local bakery which I appreciated. there were also freshly baked breads that were individually wrapped for sale but I was in a bit of a time crunch. there was only one lady working there who was v sweet and patient with me. i took a while to decide since I wasn't sure which flavor to get at first. I ended up choosing the sweet potato one since it was such a unique flavor and it was a hit! the size was perfect and the flavor wasn't too sweet (which is appreciated for asian desserts). the price was fair considering it's a small business and was a decent size (8 slices!) there were also bits of sweet potato in the cake which I surprisingly enjoyed overall a great experience and I would love to support them again when I'm in the area!

Stumbled upon this shop and loved it. I tried some cream puffs which were perfectly filled and easy to stuff whole on my mouth. I picked up some mocha filled bread and cream filled bread as well and loved both. It's not too sweet, soft and moist.

This is my go to bakery for the yummy yellow cream puff. Unfortunately for me, the bread is meh but the custard inside is just so delicious that I'd rather come here and pay money for cream puffs even thought I'm not eating the bread part if that makes any sense lol they really are generous with the filling so it's worth it! I can't compare them to other bakeries when it comes to their cream puff filling! I really tried to love their other bread and tried them but everything else is meh honestly

I came here looking for soborro bread and bought a fee extra. I froze some because I'm too lazy to make the 20 minutes drive to KTown and the defrosted bread tasted just as good! Buy 10 get one 1. All the ladies are really nice. Their cream puff and mocha cake rolls are both delicious as well.

When my friend and I stopped by, I realized DAMO is located in a plaza I used to frequent for I Love Boba and what used to be Potions & Poisons when I lived in LA back in the early 2020s. After reviewing the menu, my friend ordered the hojicha einspänner since we'd already had one matcha earlier in the day. I ordered the strawberry matcha latte with oat milk, which is typically a safe choice. The cashier seemed to have misheard my name and order because when our drinks were ready, the receipt slip displayed my name incorrectly as "Jane", and my drink was prepared einspänner style even though I requested just a regular strawberry matcha latte. Fortunately, the barista was super nice and understanding and offered to remake my drink on the spot. Since all the tables and counter chairs were taken, we sat on the bench near the front of the café to sip our drinks, which were very good and definitely above average. Really happy I got the chance to try this place finally.

My daughter tried the Corn Matcha Latte, it also tasted amazing , strong corn taste and matcha flavor . This place is awesome The only complaint is that the cups are cute with a bear lid but they are very flimsy, my daughter spilled the drink twice every time when she tried to hold the bottom, either the lid flew away and liquid spilled everywhere in my car. Or the cup itself not sturdy enough, it spilled all over the table. The cute heart straw could be for souvenir. The Cashier or owner there was so nice to accommodate for my daughter's birthday with free cookie. You can also sign up through Instagram to get points for future use. I don't know how that works though ‍ I will sure come back again. Hopefully next time they will have more sturdy cups

The green tea flavor tasted rich and authentic without being too sweet, while the mango melon one was super refreshing and loaded with fresh fruit flavor. The portions were generous even for the single size, and everything tasted really high quality. Service was also quick and friendly despite how busy it was when I went. Honestly, probably the best shaved ice I've had so far. Definitely worth the hype and somewhere I'd gladly come back to again.

It is a creamy milk flavor. Ice was finely shaved and melted in the mouth nicely. Mochi pieces gave it extra texture. Dirty green tea oreo shaved ice has a shot of coffee on the side to drizzle on. The green tea isn't really a strong taste and the ice just makes it more watery. Coffee drizzled on just made the dessert a little more bitter. Overall an okay place for shaved ice. I've had their gelatos before, and they have very unique flavors (unfortunately the candle smoked and salty egg yolk is not my favorite because it only tastes smoky to me, but some people really love it so I think you should try it if you have the chance). We went on a hot Saturday mid-day, and lots of other people had the same idea, so we had to wait a little bit for a table. They give you a beeper so you can come back once a table is ready. This time, we ordered the mango sticky rice shaved ice, and it was so good my husband and I were mind-blown. It's fun to eat because you get multiple components on one tray, and you can continually go between eating the mango sticky rice and the shaved ice with mango gelato, mango chunks, and coconut cream. Every part of it was so yummy and refreshing, it didn't feel too difficult to share and finish between two people. They hide mango chunks inside the middle of the shaved ice too, so it's not solely a bowl of ice when you get to the bottom. I will go back again just for the mango sticky rice shaved ice because it is so unique and delicious, but when mango season is over, they stop selling it.
