Dirty Chai Cupcake, Pistachio Honey Cupcake
    Andrea A.

Baked & Wired is definitely one of the Georgetown it spots, a good sweet treat after a waterfront walk. They have a ton of options, of which we got Dirty Chai and Pistachio Honey. I will preface this by saying that I'm not a fan of buttercream frosting, and these cupcakes were no exception. However, the cakes themselves were great! The flavors were strong but not too heavy or sweet (that is, without the frosting), and the texture was fluffy. The line on a Saturday afternoon was long and the store was packed, but service was fast and friendly. Ambiance is nice, there's a lot of indoor seating and some outdoor seating. 7.5/10 would recommend, I liked the cakes but I don't think is a must visit.

Don't skip if you're in Georgetown, and do trek over if you're in DC at all! Think most things baked, vegan treats included. I am a big fan of the cupcakes, I picked up the Pretty Bitchin' on this visit and enjoyed it. The cupcakes are moist and have just enough icing or frosting. Staff are very patient, knowledgeable and willing to answer questions about thr menu. Until next time Baked & Wired

Awesome spot for "cake cups" and other sweet treats! We went here on a weekend afternoon, about 30 minutes before close (4 pm). While the line was quite long when arriving, wait time was surprisingly short and employees were efficient in managing orders. We purchased the dirty chai cupcake, the OMG (with graham cracker, caramel, marshmallow, chocolate layers), and the rock your world brownie (with almonds, marshmallows, fudge) to go, and all desserts held up pretty well on the trip back home! The dirty chai was very tasty, with just the right amount of cinnamon and sweetness. Portion sizes for their cupcakes are huge and perfect for splitting with a friend. The other two bar-like desserts were also delicious, although on a much sweeter level. I would imagine it would pair really well with a coffee or tea!

I used to love this spot when I lived in dc. Came back here to show my partner around. Got a cookie ($7.50!!!!) and a fig newton (over $4!). They gave us the wrong cookie so we let them know. They said oh sorry and then said give me the bag. We said we still have the fig newton bar in it. They said okay then take the fig newton bar out. We still wanted the bag as we were walking around. They made us hold the fig newton and the new cookie while they got a new bag. Essentially they went through all this so they could take the old cookie back. It was uncomfortable and unprofessional.

Everything still remains true, the best! I've visited sister stores as well and they deliver the same service and amazing products. I love seeing a line out the door for Baked and Wired. They are still in the scene and popular. Their cupcakes are my favorite, but so many of their other baked items are up there as well. I've been a customer for over 20 years. Service has always been perfect! The staff is engaging and hardworking. They do a wonderful job. Hot tip: place an online same day pick up order or a future order to avoid the line.

Was looking for a little matcha pick me up and came across baked and wired on Yelp. Overall I had a great experience nothing extraordinary but nothing that fell flat either. Ordered an iced matcha and allowed my eyes to glaze over all of the baked goods I regret not getting. All in all il be back to try the goods next time I'm in town but this was a cool spot to hang out and enjoy a coffee or drink of choice in.

I haven't been to Baked & Wired in a few years just because I haven't been in area. I also knew if I found a convenient way to stop by, I would be there all the time. So, I was in the area yesterday and took a 10 minute walk from Trader Joe's in 25 degrees just to get some cupcakes. I get there about 15-30 minutes after they opened so there were no lines and it wasn't crowded at all. If I had time I would have gotten a warm drink in addition to my cupcakes and chill there for a second. It's inviting, especially with all the Christmas Decoration and warm staff. I got 4 cupcakes; Pistachio, Strawberry, Vanilla and German Chocolate. Generally their cupcakes aren't too sweet, they're big with great flavor. They're $6.20 each. I normally really like pistachio flavored things, the pistachio cupcake wasn't my favorite. I think there is nut meg or a similar spice which isn't my favorite. That's not to say I wouldn't eat it again if someone bought it for me though lol. I just wouldn't buy it again. The other cupcakes were on point, no complaints. I think so far Red Velvet and Strawberry are my favorite. Now that I will be in the area more, I will definitely make my way through the menu and give you updates!

This family bakery in the heart of Georgetown serves up small-batch treats from family recipes with coffee. We split the strawberry and the pretty bitchin'. The strawberry cupcake was the clear standout, moist cake paired with a creamy, flavorful frosting. I'm already planning to go back and work my way through more of their flavors! Before you leave, make sure to check out the napkin wall in the back, covered in doodles and notes from patrons, it adds a fun, personal touch to an already charming spot.

Uniporn and Rainho Cupcake (the purple one) Doom Cupcake

Cupcakes are A1. Workers are helpful and friendly. My biggest critique is the mental gymnastics it takes for me to order. I always panic a little because there's usually a line and there isn't a posted menu for the cupcakes, at least not one that I've been able to see during cupcake rush hour. They have all of the cupcakes out on display in these cute cake savers. I'm the type of person who likes to look at all of my options before I order but that's not always feasible with how the line wraps around so quickly. I feel this sense of urgency to place my order quickly and get out of the way. Next time I'll do research on the toast app so I'm prepared to order. There was one vegan option, but my vegan didn't enjoy it and said it was dry. I think it was mint flavored. The cupcakes are on the larger side to me and everyone I've ever had has been insanely sweet. I can only eat half of one at a time. During my last visit I got the Doom and uniporn and rainho. I honestly just like saying uniporn and rainho out loud so I order that one often. My favorite is the razmanian devil. The cupcakes are around $6 each. Line for drinks is always too long so we usually go somewhere else nearby.

As donut fans, we had to make a stop at Baked & Wired. We tried the glazed and the chocolate ring donuts, and both were fresh, flavorful, and well made. The donuts were a little smaller and more expensive than we expected, but the quality made up for it. If you're in the Georgetown area and looking for a great bakery, Baked & Wired is definitely worth a visit for a sweet treat.

A family friend from DC told us to try Baked & Wired for their amazing cupcakes. We arrived slightly before 8:00AM on a Thursday. There were already 3 people in line. We ordered 4 cupcakes: red velvet, strawberry, Razmanian devil (lemon raspberry flavor) and vanilla with chocolate frosting. The cupcakes were a good size and the $6 each price point was high but worth it because they were all delicious! We were surprised with how good the vanilla with chocolate frosting was! So moist and flavorful. All the cupcakes had a light , fluffy, & moist cake which is very difficult to achieve if you've ever baked. The frosting ratio to cake was perfect and overall we felt they were by far the best cupcakes we've ever had! Highly recommend for anyone visiting DC to try!

This is a cute little cupcake store in Georgetown that also serves other cafe items like coffee and breakfast/lunch items. It's a very popular spot to grab dessert in Georgetown and usually has a long line which moves pretty quick. I've tried a few cupcakes over the years and recently tried "the dude" which was a chocolate cake with some ganache filling, buttercream frosting, and malt chocolate on top. It was delicious and I'm glad I tried it but my all time favorite is the strawberry cupcake. I'll always stop by this place every time I'm in Georgetown

This was my favorite cupcake spot for years! I haven't been here in maybe over 7 years, so I was way overdue for a visit. A friend and I were in the area, so we stopped by. There was a long line waiting to get inside, which isn't any different from back in the day, so we waited for 15-20 minutes. There was a nice selection of cupcakes and other baked goods, and they even had fall specials! I got the great pumpkin, Karen's birthday, razmanian devil, and the carrot cake. They were all okay. I remember their cupcakes tasting so much better, but I just didn't love them this time. Maybe I should've gotten other flavors. Nonetheless, customer service was really great. The cashier was helpful, answered my questions, and provided suggestions. For my next visit, I'll most likely try their other desserts since I'm yet to try anything outside of their cupcakes.

The restaurant is super cute, with a fun cafe vibe, and it's an easy walk from the waterfront. We ordered the Colada Trio, which came with empanadas, cauliflower sliders, and yuca fries. Everything was delicious, and it came with three different sauces that were honestly all so good. I could've eaten those sauces with everything. We also ordered the Platanachos (plantain nachos), which were flavorful and such a fun twist on traditional nachos. They accidentally forgot the cauliflower and mushroom topping, but as soon as I mentioned it, they brought it out right away along with extra sauce. Mistakes happen, but what matters is how a place handles them, and they were incredibly accommodating, which I really appreciated. It was pretty busy when we visited, and I noticed who I believe was the manager or owner helping clean tables and checking on guests. I always love seeing that kind of hands-on involvement. I don't typically go for counter service or QR code service restaurants, but stopped in for a quick bite before a concert at the Anthem. The Cuban sandwich is legit and very tasty with tender pork, soft fresh bread with a crunchy crust, and great pickles. And the stewed plantains were perfectly tender with a caramel like sweetness. Probably the nicest surprise was their reasonably priced cocktails that have a Cuban flair. The happy hour options are very tasty.

As someone who works in the industry and is very familiar with coffee and coffee shops, I was genuinely shocked by how rude and unprofessional the staff was. I ordered a house latte with an extra double shot, which made it a quad shot, and I also paid for extra ice and requested that it be served in a large cup. It wasn't a complicated order. When I saw a drink come up, I politely asked, "Is that mine by any chance?" The barista immediately told me to "hush" and said, "I'm not talking to you." I found that incredibly disrespectful and completely unacceptable. When my drink was finally handed to me, I simply asked if the quad shot had been added since I had paid extra for it. Instead of answering my question, the barista ignored me entirely, and another employee had to respond. The employee, Taleisha Young, who was wearing glasses, was especially rude throughout the interaction. No customer should be spoken to that way, especially when they're simply asking about an order they paid extra to customize. Customer service and professionalism should be a priority, and this experience fell far below that standard. Unfortunately, I will not be returning, and I will be sharing my experience on other review platforms as well. I hope management addresses the behavior of its staff so other customers don't have a similar experience.
