I have been using this company for years. They always let you know when they are on the property. They respond quickly to special requests in between treatments. Example: I called them because a swarm of wasps made a nest near my front door making it difficult to enter the house. They responded and the wasps were removed by the next morning. The company is friendly, courteous and reliable. I have not had any bug problems at my house. Company uses pet safe treatment. I did try another major company before switching to baker. Living here in Vacaville, I've learned ants can be a huge problem. I had ants a couple of years ago that I could not solve after several attempts. I contacted Scott, which is who my neighbor was using, and he came out and in no time, the problem was solved. I'm now on their rotation for service and haven't had any regrets. I had to contact them out of my normal rotation, and they were here the very same day providing excellent relief service. While the initial spraying did resolve our insect problem, I was disturbed that on subsequent visits, we were never notified other than an invoice on the door. Soon after we moved into our home in 'small town Vacaville' in the early 80s, we discovered pests were a nightmare. Ants were coming in everywhere. Cat and dog were both itching as were we 4. I had these guys for years when my house was over run by ants, spiders etc. They are very good and there is no long term contract needed here. Most other companies have you sign up for 12 months or so these folks are just month to month. Scott (who owns the business) is very good, friendly and efficient. Absolutely horrible. The guy left before I could even get to the door and when I called the company the guy was yelling at me, calling me names, and then hung up when I was trying to talk. I was in utter and complete shock by how unprofessional this company is. When I tried calling back my phone calls were ignored. But when I call the guy back to spray again and he takes my money- then tells me he won't spray my house after he has the money in his hand- this is not an honest business man. He is sneaky and conniving. He will smile in your face with that sweet Texas good ol' boy act and plot malicioiusly how to get revenge. Watch out for this guy and don't get on his bad side! What a bunch of professionals! Yesterday I spoke with Scott and informed him of my wasp problem, and that I would like Baker to come out and help me with this issue. Scott was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. He didn't hesitate to give me the quote that I asked for over the phone, which not too many places seem to want to do. He was also helpful in ensuring that a representative from Baker came out to my home the very next day. When Jim arrived, he was all business! I explained exactly what the issues were and he got to work. Let me tell you, that powerful stream of solution that he used is an amazing sight to see. He's not walking around with some canned spray that only spouts out a little bit of liquid drizzle, but using what appears to be a compressor system from his truck that looked to be very powerful!!! He sprayed enough to where I shouldn't see any spiders for a long time. Now for the wasps, he looked around and did not find any nests. It appeared that my neighbors house had wasp nests in the awnings of his house, so I'm relieved that we didn't have any wasps but I'm also ecstatic that Baker came out and took the necessary preventative measures to ensure that I shouldn't see any creepy crawley's ever, especially since they come every other month. I am very pleased with my experience and I highly recommend Scott, Jim, and the Baker team! read more

Wow! I can't say enough about Baker Pest Control! If I could give 10 stars they'd deserve it! I called this morning w an urgent request to check out a mice problem at my parents place in Vacaville. They live in a Sr. Apartment Facility. They have been battling these critters for months w no good solution from another pest co (Eco Labs) that contracts w the facility. The other company only put out sticky pads which didn't work at all. Scott was at my parents place within 10 minutes of my urgent call. He found the problem, found a family of mice and immediately set traps around the place. He checked out all areas of the home. He spent time explaining how to care for the problem. My parents (ages 89 and 84) were so thankful and grateful and praised Scott / Baker Pest for the professionalism and sense of urgency! Unfortunately, I have to give this company a bad review. They were great at first, but they've gone downhill as the economy has gone downhill. I think that they only have one employee now and it's not a very good employee. I also suspect that they are not using as much of whatever actually kills bugs in whatever it is that they are spraying in my house. A lot of the times when the guy comes, I don't get to the door in time, so I just go back to whatever I'm doing, but I guess he thinks I'm not home, because he does the front of the house and skips the back. After months of this, my daughter finally caught him and asked him to please do the back, and his answer was, "if I can get back there". What???? If you I couldn't get back there, you should have said something. Especially when my daughter was home. I can tell you, there has never been any problem getting into my back yard. There are no locked gates, obstructions, etc. One time, I saw some weird bugs outside in the wood pile and I called to ask him about termites and the first thing he did was laugh at me and say, "that's a trip to Hawaii!!!" Then he proceeded to tell me that he doesn't do termites. I thought his answer was extremely rude and unprofessional. I've called and hired another pest control company. Most of them are cheaper than him anyway. Who cares about the contract? You're going to get bugs, especially ants and spiders constantly in Vacaville anyway! read more
