Smart Pest Pros truly delivered when I needed them most. From the outset, they were responsive, patient, and reassuring--even as I admittedly brought a fair amount of concern to the situation. They conducted a thorough inspection and, importantly, found no active rodent issues. What they did do, however, was just as valuable: they proactively sealed the home to prevent any future entry from mice, birds, squirrels, or other unwelcome visitors. The quality of the work stood out. Everything was completed with a high level of care and attention to detail, and the finished result looks clean and professional--no unsightly patches or obvious fixes. It's clear they take pride not just in effectiveness, but in presentation as well. What impressed me most was their commitment to follow-through. They came out more than once to ensure everything was properly addressed, which provided a level of reassurance that's hard to overstate. Even though my situation turned out to be more preventative than urgent, they treated it with seriousness and respect. The lady who answered understood that I needed help now... not later. She arranged for Josh to come out the next morning. He did a thorough inspection. He explained that it was termite damage (maybe old) and gave me several options to deal with it. But also gave us the go ahead to finish the floor. A few days after we met and I signed the contract, the team came out to remove old roof debris left over from a recent reroofing, removed our home's original insulation, and installed fresh batt insulation in both the attic and crawlspace. They also added rodent proofing throughout the attic while they were at it. About a month later we heard critter noises, so I texted them and they came out to inspect. He didn't find anything in the traps but reset them to be safe. Sure enough, something took the bait because we heard it go off! Jose came back shortly after and discovered 2 mice (thankfully no rats), found a gap where the roof met the garage and sealed it up. He ran an ozone generator as a precaution for any smells. A couple weeks after that we heard faint sounds again. Jose returned, found one more entry point, sealed it, and since then there's been total silence! I really appreciated how thorough and persistent they were even after the job was technically done. Solid team, fair price, and they stand behind their work. Highly recommend Attic Kings!

Not only did Attic King give me the best bid, they went way above and beyond to coordinate the work with me, as I live out of the area. The communication was always prompt, and all my questions were answered with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. On the first day the crew worked an extremely long day removing all the old insulation and ducting, completely cleaning and sanitizing the attic, and installing all new ducting. They sealed every entry point they could find where rodents were getting into the attic . Then they laid traps and waited several days to come back and make sure no more rodents were getting in before they blew in the new insulation. Throughout the entire job, their representative Ofek kept me informed of progress and included pictures at each stage of the job. In an era when Customer Service seems to be a dying art, it's nice to know there's a company that puts the customer first and backs it with excellent workmanship. I could not recommend them more highly!

My house definitely feels cooler in the morning and although it's hot outside, I haven't had to run my air conditioning nearly as much. I believe I will start to see the benefit more over the next few months. Honesty is the best policy and I choose to be transparent in my reviews. I did encounter a few issues related to the financing and some inaccuracies displayed on the company website. On the website when I was researching, there was an option for 100% financing, which as a single parent I needed, however, it turned out that wasn't an option and was incorrect on the website. Payment methods are either cash, check, or card, however, if you use a card there is 3.5% fee added to the transaction which can add up based on the job. This fee added $100 to my total, which I don't even think goes to the company but to the merchant. I wish this information was accurate and more readily available as it was one of the reason I was even able to find this company based on my search criteria. However, financing alone should not deter you or prospective customers from using this company. The owner, Anthony, was apologetic but I believe it was out of his control with the fees. His customer service alone is why I chose to continue doing business although my other quotes had financing options. Anthony definitely seemed like he would work with you if he could. The company was able to provide a quick turnaround for service, I believe he came on Monday for a quote, and then I had an appointment on Thursday. He was very responsive to emails and questions that I had. He has a crew, but is hands on with his jobs as well. One thing I should known and I hope to share the information with others is to check your vents after job completion. I wish I would have had them check after blowing the insulation. I had insulation coming out of the vent in my downstairs living room and still have insulation that blows out when I turn on my air conditioning in my bathroom. It was stuck in the vent so when I turn on the air, it blows out and I have to clean it up. So that's the only thing that I wish I had of known, or at least spot checked prior to their departure. In summary, I still give 5 stars. I would definitely recommend Definition Insulation. I felt comfortable with the owner, the job, and the crew and that means a lot. They were very knowledgeable in the field, in fact, Anthony used to work for an HVAC company, so he isn't just selling insulation to be selling it, he knows the benefits of it and how it can help cool your house down and lower your electric bill. I am hoping to notice a different next month. The customer service and fast turnaround were win-wins for me. I did as much research as I could and received 3 quotes from other companies, but Definition Insulation was the only one that included the removal on their quote, all of the others were going to put new insulation on top of at this point decades old insulation. It might be the difference between fiberglass insulation and cellulose insulation, but either way there should be removal as part of the newer insulation. Sometimes the cheaper or brand name option isn't always the better option if they can't do the job right, so I felt very comfortable in my decision to choose Definition Insulation and I would choose them in the future should I have another job or know someone who needs this type of work done.

So I do my research and am VERY selective in who I hire when our house needs work. My wife and I hired Andy Fernandes and Adval and they proved to be the real deal. Andy was *always* prompt - every time he or anyone from his company was scheduled to arrive they arrived early. Andy and his crew were communicative, clearly very knowledgeable, and straightforward, which is to say that they told me *and showed me* what was really happening and not what they wanted to promise or what they thought we wanted to hear. And they followed through exactly as they said they would. The quality of their work was outstanding. We had a few kitchen cabinets that had gotten damaged by the 2014 Napa quake and were looking like they were going to fall off the wall. Andy sent over a master carpenter (he spent years building stuff for moneyed people on Martha's Vineyard, who can be quite demanding) who didn't "upsell" us by telling us one of the cabinets needed to be rebuilt (the build cabinet in their own shop), he showed us in detail exactly what the problem was and convinced skeptical me that a new cabinet built from real plywood instead of the particle board of the cabinets the flipper who sold us the house had installed was the way to go. They reused the facing from the old cabinets, so the match was immaculate. Price-wise, yeah, they weren't the cheapest I could have found, but they were most definitely not close to the high end, they were right in the ballpark, and I figure if I demand quality I have to be wiling to pay for it. And we most decidedly got what we paid for. I repeat again that I am VERY picky about contractors, but I unhesitatingly give Adval Construction my highest recommendation. Our job was pretty small, but I would hire them for a big job in a heartbeat. This is the way construction contracting is supposed to work.

I was impressed by them in all the ways our project worked out and hired them again for a very consequential project. Their thoroughness impressed me and my contractor ("These guys sure are covering all the bases brilliantly", he said of them). We wanted to lift up the ceiling of our kitchen and family room. Because the previous framing work was lacking and because we recently replaced our roof and installed a solar system with increased wind exposure, A1F1 explained we needed to install a big beam with a pier in concrete under the house. They provided all the drawings and calculations documentation needed for the City to approve again at first pass. Work is now under progress, and I have been at awe on how everything is working totally like clockwork. Highly recommended!
