It's pretty clean and organized. They have simple rules items. My only one-off is that this place is really pricey! Most of all their items are expensive, and usually I end up either leaving or having to only get what I want. I know it's a small mom and pop bakery to probably cover their overhead, but their prices are pretty up there! They should sell them in smaller batches or more affordable options for buyers. Sadly, we even witnessed a guy stealing here one time. He was putting bread under his shirt and left. We told the shop owner but that guy got away when the owner tried to stop him.

I like this place because they have a huge selection of breads. They have all the pan de xxxx you can think of: pan de sal, pan de coco, pan de ube and even all kinds of snacks and treats. I used to get a bunch of stuff when I come here, but lately it feels like I'm gonna spend $100 on carbs and I can't justify that. I really like their pan de sal, ube breads, kakanins , Turon and several other items. Yeah I'll definitely come back. But anyway,

It's much more spacious, there's plenty of parking, and of course the pastries were just as delicious. I always come back for the strawberry croissant and the curry pan. Inside they have plenty of seating available to enjoy your pastries. As for bake good selections, they offer sweet and savory options. They even have some katsu plates with or without curry. I find some of their pastries are on the pricey end depending on what you select. Their most popular is the strawberry croissant which is sweet with a custard filling and strawberry slices. I tried their special Strawberry Mocha Latte which was really good, however, it was very small and very pricey. The service was great. The girl that helped me was super nice and very accommodating. After getting some bake goods for our dentist, I quickly had to eat the steamed pork buns while it was hot. The pork filling was like a pork siomai inside a fluffy soft dough. That was very good and worth the price. As for the sweet baked goods, I immediately tried them as soon as we got home. The cream puff was delicious and not too sweet, however for the size of it, I don't think it is worth the $4.00 price tag. The strawberry croissant on the other hand was cheaper and also very tasty and I would say it's worth the price tag.

When you walk in, you'll give your list to someone at the counter and you can always add any additional items. It's a small spot. People usually just pick up and go.

My partner and I stopped by Cafe 86 in Carson hoping we had found our next go-to halo-halo spot…read more Unfortunately, authenticity and customer service were both missing from the recipe. Parking was easy, and when we walked in, there was only one occupied table. Three employees were chatting in the back. We were greeted, but it felt more like, "What would you like?" than "Welcome in." No smile, no conversation, no thank you--just a transaction. After taking our order, the employee returned to chatting with coworkers. When our order was ready, our name was called, the halo-halo was placed on the counter, and that was the end of the interaction. As for the halo-halo itself, my partner rated it a 2/10. It was overwhelmingly sweet and overpriced for what we received. We were hoping for layers of flavor and nostalgia but got a sugar rush that could probably power a small city. As a business owner myself, I understand that customer service is one of the biggest drivers of customer retention. Great products can bring people in once, but great service brings them back. Unfortunately, this visit missed the mark on both. The good news? These issues are fixable. A little more warmth, engagement, and hospitality would go a long way. Until then, we'll continue our search for our next favorite halo-halo spot.

This was me and my friends 2nd time to the Summer Nights and last year we really really enjoyed it…read more Everything was delicious and we couldn't wait to go back. This time (yesterday), however, was not nearly the same experience. First of all, I realized we couldn't book a table for 8 people, so me and my friends book 2 tables for 8.30PM. I called asking if it's possible to put our tables together close or side by side, they said they will try their best. We all showed up at 8.30 and waited until around 9-9.15 because they only had 1 table ready. Ok. Come the time the other table opened and it's not even that close to each other. But it's okay, I respect the limitations on this part. No one came to us to take our order or even give us water until way later, and we got our drinks at 9.45. Another critique is that my friend called and ask how much corkage fee and they said $25. It turned out to be $40. Another disappointment, but it's ok. Not much can be done bout that part. Next thing is the food. We enjoyed the fried green beans. Crudo was really really salty, and it's not only 1 person thought that. We wondered if the kitchen mistakenly salted the fish twice. We enjoyed the peach salad. We ordered a few different pasta and the tagliatelle in particular was disappointing. It really lacked flavor that we had to mix the other pasta dish sauce to it. The pork plate was good, a bit small but we enjoyed it. Now the mussles and frites were disappointing too. The sauce just didn't do it for me (other friends agreed). I always talked really highly about Nonna Mercato (I also enjoyed the brunch so much) and always told people that this is one of my most favorite restaurants in Long Beach, but this one really missed the mark for me and my friends. I don't know if this would make us want to go to Summer Nights again next time. For $130 per person (after tax, tip, and corkage fees), I definitely hoped for a much better experience.
