Deserving 5 star this place is a sweet family owned business. The daughter at the register was super inviting and patient. We ordered 8 revuelttas papusas and 4 mix tacos and OMG SOOOO BOMB! The best tacos and papusas I've had in WA. Everything was made fresh to order and had soooo much flavor! You know the food is damn good if you're super full, but you can't stop eating it lol the only thing is that it takes about 20-30 mins depending on your order but it's all worth the wait. We just ordered 2 steak burritos to go. Got them home and ate them. When this place first opened it was so good. The food was flavorful, juicy and definitely kept us coming back for more. We haven't been in a few months but now the burritos we just had are super dry and too salty. Just wondering if ownership changed also didn't recognize the cook that was there, I believe one of the owners was cooking before. Might give it one more chance before jumping ship hopefully just an off day read more

The slaw on top is a great addition. The workers were super friendly and helpful in recommending items since it was my first visit. They also have house-made drinks (I recommend the pineapple juice). My daughter and I decided to give Balcon X a try after seeing it on TikTok as one of the best in the west and they did not disappoint! We had the combo with the tacos and the pupusa, a small burrito, and a side of rice and beans. The meats were delicious and flavorful especially the mixed (steak, chorizo, and pineapple), the pupusa was crispy around the edges and had the perfect amount of filling, and the rice and beans were the best I've ever had. The service was great, she brought us everything we needed and was very friendly. The establishment was clean and welcoming, we will definitely be back...this was some of the best food we have had out in a very long time. I would give more stars if I could. read more

Delicious food!! We tried a little bit of everything and loved it all. If I had to pick a favorite, I'd say it's a tie between the pork taco and the revuelta papusa. I've been to the original Balcon in Bremerton so was very excited to see Balcon Express going in close to home. We called in an order for an assortment of tacos, burritos, and pupusa. The staff were super pleasant on the phone and everything was ready for pick-up in 15 minutes. Once again we had a hankering for something different to share for dinner! Soooooo checked out the website, TikTok, and TNT review and stopped by Balcon's. Well lit, clean, and friendly guy to take my order! Went with 3 Pupusas (different filings) and 4 street tacos: 2 chicken, pork n steak! Less than 15 min wait! Packaged neatly and out the door! The Pupusas were excellent as we have had similar in Guatemala but these are larger and the different fillings scrumptious! The dough was not too heavy and ample filing in each bite! 4 street tacos were tasty with the addition of radish, pickled slaw, and limes. They provided red and green sauce as well! We have leftovers for tomorrow's lunch! All in all very tasty and a welcomed addition to Central American food option in Tacoma! read more

I was excited to try this restaurant as it combines my two faves tacos and pupusas it was all over social media and I don't know why. It was mediocre at best, the staff were nice, the tacos were okay. But no salsa options, tortillas were meh, and the pupusas I got had like no meat, i thought they got my order wrong but they just don't put meat in the pupusas it was like a sliver of meat mixed in with the cheese. Also it was a long wait for the food and it wasn't even busy. I don't know if it's due to just opening or what, but i'll stick to my normal taco and pupusas place, I do not recommend this restaurant. read more
