Wonderful, wonderful steak house. Try their Wagu Medallion, if they have it at the time, and/or their Miso Marinated Sea Bass. Get their Char Grilled Street Corn, and their Bread is Life on the side. Baldamar has never disappointed! The space itself is beautiful! Not your typical Steakhouse I have only ever sat in the bar area, which has generous booths including the actual bar! Whatever you do, get their Old Fashioned Theirs is great! I have never had a bad experience with wait staff here either! Next, start with their Bread is Life with their house butters!! Not pictured because they were gobbled up so fast! Dry Spice Wings are also tasty and "fried hard" for those that prefer! (IYKYK) and those were also gobbled up prior to pictures! Lobster Mac is also a good option but partner thought it was a bit salty. Tried the hangar steak chimichurri this time and it was sooo good!! Decided to try Baldamar after shopping at the Roseville mall. Was able to make a reservation for 4 and seated nearly immediately. A surprisingly nice high end steakhouse in Roseville. Bread isn't free (and an extra $8 for a refill) however the chimichurri, jalapeño butter and pumpkin butter are excellent. Prime New York strip was full of flavor with a perfect salty crust. Meatballs were delectable. Open prime rib sandwich was full of flavor and huge servings. Old fashioned was nice and strong. If you enjoy overpriced food in a noisy environment, this is the place for you. Four people had the Sunday brunch and we were charged for five. Our tip was expanded and the total charge was changed from we signed. Please check your receipts and then check again. This has quickly become one of my favorite food destination spots in the city! They do lunch, dinner, happy hour, and brunch all exceptionally well! I can easily book a reservation online at any time and there is always great availability. My favorite part about this place is the excellent service. I have been here a few times now, and I always receive high, attentive treatment. You will want for nothing as these servers are clearly skilled at their craft. They are also very kind and personable, and I have often ended up having great conversations with my waiter. The food is impeccable and my pictures do it no justice. I have had brunch, lunch, dinner and happy hour here multiple times. I find all the menus filled with a great amount of delicious offerings. I tried multiple dishes by now and I have loved all of them! Another great thing I love about this place is the upscale decor, clean bathrooms, dim lighting, and just peaceful and inviting atmosphere. Came to Baldamar to celebrate a birthday. We didn't have a lunch reservation and fortunately, we were able to get right in. Our waiter was kind and very informative when running through the menu. The good: The restaurant is gorgeous, the restrooms were very clean (love the men's/women's restroom signs - so cute!), the calamari was cooked perfectly, the brussels sprouts were delicious, and the wedge salad, chilled lobster roll and soup were also tasty. The complimentary birthday ice cream dessert was phenomenal and it was great that they split the salad and sandwich onto 2 plates (as my husband and I wanted to share 2 menu items). The not so good: One of us ordered the BLT sandwich and there were 2 pieces of bacon on it. For a BLT and the price, it was pretty skimpy. The chicken on the crispy Cajun chicken sandwich was a bit too crispy (to the point where the edges were tough/hard to chew). We also had to track down our waiter to get some ketchup for our fries, which was a little frustrating. We went for the standard brunch buffet and let me start by saying the service is top notch. Everyone we interacted with was amazingly friendly, helpful, and upbeat. Maybe too much so for some folks but it's a nice touch. The atmosphere is chill and the bar area is super nice. Their happy hour is a good deal so we'll have to come back. Overall I would say I wasn't overwhelmed by the food. I'm a sucker for salmon and was really let down by their smoked version. It was pretty dry and very bitter. Like they over baked it with too much under-ripe lemon. I normally eat my weight in the stuff but that one piece in the picture was all I could handle. The Mac and cheese was good, but it's hard to go wrong there. Brisket was also middling. A lot of gristle and connective tissue and a bit too done for my personal preference. The star of the show was the French toast bake. That was almost worth the price of admission alone. I would say if you're going to do anything, make it that and the MTO pasta station. The rest of the desserts were pretty bland and not baked very well. Scones were overdone and the cake was dense and claggy. I don't think I'd go back for the buffet given all the other options in the area, but the staff and ambiance are great. I'd 100% try the Champagner if I could justify the cost, though! I've left a review on their Brunch Sundays but leaving one for Happy Hour and bar service. We love getting HH here. We were happy to hear HH is all day Sunday! So we grabbed a spot at the bar. They have some of the best foods we come here just for: pork belly Mac and cheese, lobster rolls, and now the honey sriracha wings. We also like how most of their HH menu comes in pairs and are shareable. We felt like choosing four items was more than enough food for two people. It's a great date night or friend outing if you're looking for quality food and small bites. We ordered the birria tacos for the first time. The beef is tender. However, we felt like they lacked flavor. My lobster roll also had some small shells, which hadn't happened before. We kindly told our bartender and didn't want to make it a big deal. He took it well. Our bartender also gave us hot towels, which was the first time I got them here. It was a nice touch after getting our hands dirty with the wings. The bathroom is nearby, too. While the restaurant gets filled with those meeting for brunch, I felt like I could still have conversation with my hubby at the bar. For the mains, I opted for the Prime New York, which was full of flavor, balanced, and seasoned to perfection. Coming off my most recent steak visit at Porzana and their $285 Tomahawk, this still stood out as a top notch cut. Excellently prepared, I would say this was a definite 5-star steak. Went to Baldamar today for an 11 year olds birthday dinner, it wasn't our original plan but we did some research and saw the great reviews so ended up here. Starting with the table, the hostess decorated it and had a little card at the table. Then our server was amazing, very friendly and knowledgeable as well, and super personable. For the food, everything we had was amazing. We started with the meatballs and scallops, the scallops come with 3 but they can add on more if you'd like. The bread with the meatballs with the ricotta cheese was so good. For our meals we did steaks and the loaded baked potato and Brussels for the side. Steaks cooked perfectly, and sides could easily stand on their own. Lastly we got the 50 shades of chocolate and phone did not eat first. She took our drink order, talked through the setup with us and got our orders placed quickly. My sister and I shared most entree's so we could try it all. I was in LOVE with the AM Aviation, and the old-fashioned. The Aviation was bright and floral, the old-fashioned rich and complex. We tried a small army of dishes, but my stand outs were the French Toast (get it as dessert to share or you will fill up quickly), the crab cake and the Aglio e Olio. The scallop was well cooked, the dishes small enough to share and all presented beautifully. I wish I'd have tried more but it was all so filling when put together. Overall both my spouse and I give it a "meh" for the food. Equally good steaks for less at many other places. His $75 prime ribeye was gristly and fatty, my lobster pasta had good chunks of lobster but the pasta was dry, lacking any taste of the sauce. Our favorite part of the meal was a scallop app ( 3 for $25) with bacon jam and a seasonal spinach salad with roasted squash ($15) that was large enough for sharing. Note that the steaks are ala carte so sides are $$ extra but shareable size. The server was helpful with explanations and choices but clearly pushing drinks. The decor is also nothing special and looks like most other current trendy places. A mounted head of a wooly Scottish cattle breed is the only "steakhouse" cue. The hostess ushered us to our seats with the biggest smile. The Food I started with calamari and brussel sprouts. I don't know if this was becuase of restaurant week that the portions were smaller, however the food packed a powerful punch. I do remember saying I wanted more but again I was not disappointed. The flavoring or the flash fried brussels an thai sauced calamari instantly sent my taste buds into a frenzy. Dinner was their Pan Seared Organic Atlantic Salmon with potato puree and sweet corn and red pepper succotash. The first bite melted into my my mouth do delightful. The salmon was cooked to perfection, flaky and moist. The potato puree was the perfect blend and the succotash she the dish over top. The dessert was their ice cream sandwhich. Definitely go if you're looking for an elevated brunch or dinner in Roseville Service: for the Champagner brunch it had some of the nicest servers around. They really encourage you to try everything, they don't rush you, give great recommendations and pace out the food so you don't get overwhelmed. Sometimes with all paid brunches it's easy to feel rushed but not here. Food: TO DIE FOR!! For $90 it's so worth it. It was not good. It's a skin on piece of meat and the skin was soggy. The veggies were overly salted and one potato was burnt to a crisp. Our friends also ordered the tenderloin (med rare) The reason that I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is purely because all three tenderloins were overcooked. All came out med well. Disappointing but didn't send it back. We loved the butter flight but be warned they said that we can get extra bread but they charge $4 for it. Didn't know until the check. For Restaurant Week, the entrees does not come with any sides so you'll have to order separately. We ordered the mashed potatoes and lobster Mac and cheese. Both were good. What a reunion! While visiting Minneapolis on a work trip, I got to see a friend I haven't hung out with in YEARS.
