Baldo's used to be my go to for a #24, but not anymore. I know the economy sucks right now, and prices have gone up everywhere, but this is the second time I've gone there and been charged more than the menu price for my item. The first time this happened, I was told that the menu prices were old. They should have still honored the displayed price, but whatever. I decided to give them another chance. This time the menu prices were updated, but I was still charged more at the window because apparently breakfast burritos cost $1 extra if they're not bought during breakfast time. I was like what? Since when do they cost extra? No one buys breakfast burritos for breakfast.. IYKYK.. Just another sneaky way for them to make extra money.. I have no problem paying what is expected for my meal, but I also expect the total price to be properly disclosed. I feel like they can get around this so easily because they never tell you the total at the speaker. Again, that wouldn't be a problem if they were honest with their prices. I know I'm not the only one who has experienced this, but things always catch up in the end. Baldo's is going to lose a lot of loyal customers because of their declining customer service, which sucks brcause their food is actually good. But it's not like there aren't other places we can go to for a breakfast burrito. Just saying. read more

I have lived near Baldo's for years. Once a year I give them a chance, for convenience. They have consistently been disappointing. The drive threw and restaurant are cluttered and unsanitary. The service is rude and unhelpful. The food is ok for fast food and decent quantity, but way too expensive for drive threw and quality. I hate myself every time I give in and try it again. read more

We always make it a point to stop by for a Carne Asada fries and a Carne asada burrito. Very similar to the restaurant Aldabertos to Fairfield N. Texas by waterman exit or the Citrus Heights location by Carmichael. I love their Carne asada burritos and make sure to grab a Horchata and extra hot sauces. Always 24 hours and always hit the Drive thrus. Definitely a must stop by when doing a road trip up to the Lake or coming down the mountain read more

Be careful if you pay with a debit card. The amount they tell you in person or show on the receipt may not match what is actually charged to your bank account. I noticed a higher amount on my bank statement than what I expected to pay. Make sure to check both your receipt and your bank statement to verify you're being charged correctly. read more

Terrible customer service. I waited about 20 minutes in the drive-thru with only one car ahead of me. When I reached the window, there was no apology or explanation for the delay. I understand things happen, but some acknowledgment or customer service would have been appreciated. Other than the off-putting service, I love the carne asada fries here. I have been going to baldo's for years just for them. I was so loyal I was even going to the Vallejo and Fairfield locations. My experience today was very disappointing. They are ripping off people. I went yesterday evening. I got the #9 two chicken tacos which the menu outside said was supposed to be 14.99. I get to the window and he says the total is 18.37. I was caught a little off guard. There was nothing said about a price change. (I know I should have asked). I paid with my credit card and when I got my receipt it said the meal was 16.99 + tax. I asked about the price difference and they only said "oh thats the old meu prices". I informed them that was wrong to advertise one price then charge another. He said that he would let management know. There was no offer for a refund. Then I wake up this morning and got a notification from my bank that they charged me 19.01. I checked my receipt, it said the tender was cash for 18.37. He never mentioned about a credit card fee nor is there any signage about it. Not sure who at the city I need to report this too. If they are doing this to my friend and I, there is no telling who else they are ripping off. read more

I checked out Baldo's for Friday funday dinner after work. I was famished! Baldo's is a hole in the wall kind of restaurant with decent service. Not sure why there are so many complaints about their service. I was greeted by the cashier and placed my order: shrimp fries and a medium horchata drink. All for the low, low price of $21!! LOL. The menu doesn't list any prices for their items... I should have taken that as a clue they were going to charge me more than a pretty penny! I paid with card, the cashier took my card to some back area to charge. I did not like that and I felt uneasy. Note to self: Bring cash next time. Shrimp fries - shareable. Loaded with cheddar cheese shreds, salsa, sour cream, shrimp (big ol shrimp!!!), avocado. Although loaded, a little bland. I added red (hot) salsa for flavor and some heat. Fries were done quickly and handed to me not long after ordering. Horchata- no complaints, perfectly sweet. There's a chips and salsa bar(self serve)- chips were not fresh/stale I ordered my food to dine in. But, my food was handed to me in a to go plate in a plastic bag. I guess this helps them save money on dishes? Free peppermints and toothpicks at the counter for customers to use after meal. The restaurant was full of bright colors and decor, there was even a motorcycle parked inside (lol) There's parking on site and a drive thru. I have been coming to this place for well over five years that I can think of. It was my stop along the way while I was commuting from the bay area back to Sacramento. They were definitely convenient because of their hours of operation. They did not allow Covid to stop them They kept the 24 hour drive-through. The quality of the food has not disappointed if anything they added more items to their menu to accommodate more of a variety! I'm stuck on the street tacos always, but I love their shrimp tacos, their breakfast burritos and I can't forget my old faithful rolled tacos! I try not to gate keep this establishment because I want to show my support to continue to spread the word, but this is my spot no matter what time I pull up! I literally just came there late night Saturday night on my way back home and they did not disappoint. I love when Mexican food has a drive thru because it's just more convenient that way. They do have a small indoor seating area that has side serving of extra things to add to your order but I believe you can as well ask for it through the drive thru. The late night hours is another great thing because some people get off work late and would like a great meal rather than fast food regular same ol burger spots. Service isn't long of a wait either. They have their own lot with parking but I pretty sure most customers go through the drive thru. I don't remember coming during day but usually at night so I highly suggest this place for night runs for good fulfilling food. read more

Do not eat here unless you want to chance getting horrible food poisoning. Baldos has been a go to for fast drive thru Mexican food. Last night I was hungry after a long day of festivities didn't feel like hamburger. So decided to grab a asada burrito. 1 star is too many. We have ordered from here via DoorDash and they're usually "ok". Today I decided to drive there myself to avoid the DoorDash fees and usual price increases. First I tried to order directly on the restaurant website and there was zero option for payment. They should take it down if it's not functional. The asphalt for the entire place needs serious work! I had no clue where to order since it's not clear. Had to go around and no way to get around building without getting back on the street and making two U-turns. Anyway, the real reason for my review is that I ended up paying more in person than via DoorDash. How's this possible!? This is our go to late at night grub. It's not the best looking restaurant on the outside (tbh, I've never been inside). We've tried a few things in the menu but we're hooked on their Shrimp burritos. They put a good portion of shrimp on their burritos. And they're big shrimps. It's so good. Although the heat is not always consistent but we don't mind since we like it spicy. They always include a red and green salsa with each order. The red salsa is pretty spicy. We like the ranch villa fries too. Man talk about everything but the kitchen sink. It has everything, bacon, ham, asada, shrimp, and a whole bunch of stuff that I can't tell what it is. Ordered combination platter at drive thru the price on the outside drive thru menu was $13.99 I pull up to the window and the person tried to charge me $17.99. By law they have to charge me the advertised price but he wouldn't I told him to keep it. I wasn't angry with the person at window he was just doing his job and if he would have taken 13.99 for it then the cash till would be short at end of shift and he prolly would have gotten in trouble ..I didn't want that happening. This is one of the few places in the area that is open 24/7 so it's a great place to grab a bite to eat when you get those late night cravings and want some actual Mexican food and not Taco Bell. I also like how big their portions are! Their carne asada fries always hit the spot for me. They load it up with the carne asada, sour cream, guac, and cheese. Their regular tacos are always loaded as well. I only find their burritos okay though, but they have so many other offerings on their menu that you might like. They're drive-thru only ever since the covid era and I'm not sure if they'll ever open their dining room again. Alright, so a huge My Bad on my part. I read the reviews. Some were sketchy. Duly noted. We ordered tacos, steak nachos and steak fries. I do not like sour cream. I don't want to look at it nor do i want to eat around it. With that being said, when i placed my order, i emphasized no sour cream. They stuffed our orders in one plastic bag which ripped at the bottom. I don't understand why these businesses think it's a hassle to simply use more than one bag. I digress. Immediately before we drive off, i MUST check for sour cream, fortunately my order was on top, i pop the lid open and there lays my tantalizingly delicious looking steak fries. OMG. I was overcome with anticipation. But I closed the lid with plans of eating back at the house. Nobody else wanted to check their food, not only did they not want to hassle with the tightly stuffed raggedy ripped bag, they had eaten there several times before and swore by their food. We get to the house, pass out boxes. And what do you know. Steak nachos with no steak. *blank stares*. Check the receipt. Yep! It says, steak nachos. Did they accidentally substitute the meat with another protein? NOPE. meatless nachos. We thought about going back but the price of gas and our time didn't outweigh the need for meat. Hello, everyone. I wanted to bring to your attention that the parking area are in need of repair. The lines have faded, and there are several potholes in the parking lot. Additionally, the menu outside is not illuminated, so you might need to bring a flashlight to read it. Also food quality has been inconsistent. For instance, I ordered cheese enchiladas and received extra cheese quesadilla instead. maybe this why locations are closing down. Also what is nasty the person taking the order is also handling food and not wearing gloves or hairnets when handling food. read more

Open 24 hours so if you're ever craving for fast food you can always come here. The line is never too long (at least when I go) and goes by pretty fast. The best things to get there are the burritos and carne asada fries. For $11-12 you get a big burrito-- bigger than more expensive ones in the area. You can always customize the burrito to your fitting, which is perfect for someone who's picky like myself. The carne asada fries are delicious, although I do wish the cut of fries were thicker because the guacamole and sauce can get the fries soggy after a while. The horchata is really good, and the large sizes are hugeeeee. The enchiladas were on the okay side. Nothing too special, just beef and onions on the inside. The cheese and red sauce on the tortillas were tasty, it's just the inside was a little bland. I love the taquitos at this location. My mom is convalescing with me and now she loves them also. While I was out of town, my cousin drove there to pick up an order for her and got home and unfortunately, they were soggy.
