In between those messages I also was sent a message to say I had a different appt. which needed to be changed because the dental hygienist was not going to be there. I DID NOT have an appointment to have my teeth cleaned but was referred to have an evaluation for a toothache under the bridge. They apologized to say it was an error, again. The office could use a bigger sign as it was difficult to find. I had to make a u turn as I missed it the first time!

I came today for my final checkup, cleaning and polishing of the year. My husband will get his last one of the year tomorrow. It's nice to be able to park in this lot and walk right in. The new space is really nice, new, and clean. It started out terrible at my first appointment, with the dentist telling me I needed thousands of…read moredollars of treatment, including replacing crowns and new crowns. I went back to my previous dentist (who is also a professor of dentistry) and asked for a second opinion and was told that they couldn't find any reason why that work should be done. For insurance reasons, I stuck with Franklin, figuring I know who I'm dealing with and that I could still get my teeth cleaned, etc., and just ignore their bogus treatment plans. But the cleanings were so inadequate I finally gave up on them... I don't think they ever spent more than 15 minutes on a cleaning. I also never felt that I could trust them not to damage my teeth on purpose so that I would need to have work done. So I changed to a different dentist. I requested that Franklin send my X-rays and their suggested Treatment Plans to the new dentist, but they never did. My understanding is that they are legally required to do this, but they did not despite repeated requests. So I ended up having to pay for new X-rays. All-in-all, going to a dentist that can't be trusted is a horrible experience and you should just stay away from Franklin Dental Care.
