Previously, I'd been with my technician for 20+ years. I was referred to Vintage Nail Bar in Charlotte. Even though there were many salons closer to my new home, I went to see Steven based on this recommendation. I was not disappointed! He was so nice, friendly, and on time for my appointment. The salon was spacious and clean. My husband had a pedi with Vin and said he was great, too. There was another technician there, Pim, who seemed so kind - always smiling at incoming customers. I understand she does a great job with builder gel and will try her, too, in case Steven isn't available. For reference I am over 60 years young () and wanted a natural looking nail, thin on the sides and top. I'm so happy to have found this nail salon!

Kelly was my technician and she did a fantastic job. She was meticulous in the preparation of my nails for polish. She gave a very relaxing foot and lower leg massage, as well. Her polish application was perfect and she gave each coat time to dry. The result was a mani/ pedi that should last for a long time. It's already been three days with a lot of gardening and dish washing, and my hands still look perfect. Usually several nails would be showing signs of wear by now. I'm super happy and will definitely be back soon. I may have found my new "go-to" nail salon. Note: the place was busy on this Thursday afternoon. I'm glad I had an appointment.

I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at Sassy Nails…read more I scheduled a 3:30 PM appointment, but upon arrival, there was no space prepared for me. I was asked to follow the receptionist, yet no chair was ready, and the way I was directed to sit felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming. After my drink order was taken, there was little to no interaction or warmth--far from what I would expect from a "luxury" experience. What made the situation more concerning was that an open chair was quickly given to another guest (a man's daughter who did not appear to be receiving a service), without any communication or clarification. This created a confusing and uncomfortable environment, and the overall energy felt passive-aggressive and dismissive. As a resident of the building attached to this salon, I would have been a consistent and loyal customer. Unfortunately, this experience left such a negative impression that I chose to leave. I went to Anthony Vince Nail Spa just minutes away and was immediately treated with fairness, kindness, and true professionalism. The difference in service was clear and appreciated after such an uncomfortable encounter. Due to this experience--and the strong impression of unequal treatment--I will not be returning or recommending Sassy Nails. 0/10.

This business is on class pass if you have a membership! I've been wanting to try it out!…read more There isn't a huge parking lot in that shopping center but there are plenty of spots in the garage and parallel. I made a 4:30 appointment on a Friday (I was able to make an appointment a couple days in advance) for a gel pedicure and they took me back right at 4:30. They asked if I wanted anything to drink and I got a mini bottle of water. The facility is huge- lots of manicure and pedicure spots. It is also an aveda salon, so in the back I noticed a few people getting their hair washed and a few people getting their hair colored. They played music in the spa. The pedicure chairs were normal chairs- not massage. They were kind of low to the ground lol. The pedicure was very luxurious! It included a foot soak, a scrub, a lotion, hot towels, nail shaping, and polish. They asked if I wanted orange or lavender for the scrub and lotion. He spent a ton of time massaging both in which was wonderful!!! He didn't spend a ton of time 'grating' the dead skin off my heels but he did touch on it. They had a ton of gel colors to pick from and The end product looks great, hoping it lasts a while!! It took about 45 minutes for this. It was $82 for the gel pedicure which seems to be about average for this service.

The online booking was simple and there were plenty of openings available for me to get in quickly. The salon itself is aesthetically very nice. It's large, bright, clean and great design. When I arrived I was promptly greeted and shown to the nail station. They had a lot of color selections, standard OPI colors and some others. Paul was my nail tech and he was great! Tested my color options in advance with me, checked in along the way to make sure I was happy. He was fast, but still had a great attention to detail. I was really pleased with his work and would definitely go to him again! Docking a star because the price was very expensive - $60 for a basic gel manicure. I get that the area is pricey and this salon is trying to say they are "luxury", but it was honestly the same level of service and products I've received at every other nail salon, for way less. I would go again because of the convenience, but I wouldn't seek it out if you are not in the area.

Decided to cheat on my current go-to salon (Anthony Vince Nail Spa), so wandered over to Cachet…read moreNail Boutique! As expected from a South Park nail salon/spa, Cachet was exceptional. With its stark, striking, all-white decor, with gold and silver accents, the place is posh and pristine! I have to say, however, that I didn't feel quite cozy here...it almost feels sterile (?) in its minimalist kind of way. Service started out kind of rocky...in a way that's hard to explain. From the reception to the pedi chair, as well as its odd payment system, the entire experience felt uneasy, almost rough. I've been to more generic, cheaper nail salons that had more of a sophisticated system...with a nice, smooth experience from start to finish. The experience here wasn't quite so smooth. Like I said, it all felt kinda rocky. My mani/pedi service also started off awkward...given that I could barely understand the young girl (very soft voice with a super-thick accent). Anyway, thought it was best if I just fiddled on my iPhone, so the communication problem wasn't a huge issue. Don't know her name, but she turned out to be really good...in terms of her technique. I'll even say that she did a stellar job with the cuticles and polishing. BTW, I just got their Mimosa Mani and Pedi (Express), so the pricing wasn't too bad for a nail salon of this caliber. Besides, it was quite pampering for an Express Service...probably equivalent to a Deluxe version in lesser salons. One last thing...Overhead Music! This always affects my overall impression. Maybe because I used to work for Muzak, where we specialized in matching up music (and messages) with the various businesses...but yes, overhead music IS important (to me, that is!). Unfortunately, this place did NOT match up the right music for its uber pristine environment. I guess I don't get why these upscaled salons and spas (including nail salons and spas) don't go with New Age, Ambient, Easy Listening type music. Despite the Fancy Schmancy ambiance, this place played rough 'n rowdy type of Pop and Soul. Mind you, I can get into Pop, Soul, even Punk and Industrial, but this type of music for this type of setting was just not right. It most definitely didn't help set the serene vibe for this type of place. Again, disappointing. Overall, I was initially mesmerized by their ambiance...but like I said, the experience itself was shaky and awkward. Plus, the bad, ill-suited music! Still, the mani and pedi service turned out to be excellent, so I'd definitely recommend this nail "boutique" for those looking to feel like a Queen (an Ice Queen?) for a Day!

You are paying for location only. The white amenities do not foster the cost for other lack luster areas. Its expensive. Everything is all a cart. What you would normally get for $30 pedi will be $60+. Meaning, scrub, paraffin wax and/or callous treatment or anything else will be extra and is not included. The chairs are gorging but that's it. Don't get excited, no massaging chairs, no adjusting base. The basin where your feet go does not have jets. They do not line each chair with plastic for sanitation. Speaking of which the basins are haphazardly cleaned afterwards. Might I add that they're low with no way of getting out but to step in the basin with dirty shoes and possibly break your neck on the way out. I had two nail techs at the same time which is a pet peeve of mine. I was getting a gel mani and pedi. The tech on my toes was rough and careless. Tony was his name. He polished and left globs of nail polish in between the nail bed and skin. My finger tech was sweet. Taylor. Was her name. She was exceptional and focused. As for the techs on my friends. They were young girls that literally goss3snd cackled the whole time. I was completely amiss. For the price I'm paying and the location I expected so much more.
