I am giving this 5 stars for a delivery service I don't think they normally have. I ordered food using door dash. Long story short door dash has the wrong address and insisted they didn't have our order. So we were left with no order. I called Bamboozels and spoke with the owner. He said he would remake it and contact door dash and have it delivered again. After waiting for a bit and not hearing from door dash the owner made the trip out himself to deliver the food. It was yummy!!! Started with a Royal Peach drink. If you like peach like I do.... you will want to order another. The homemade guacamole and chips were just like restaurants where they make it tableside. My sis and I shared the steak quesadillas and chicken melt. Both very very good. I ordered a pineapple margarita and I was pleased as well. I will be back. I may not have the same items just so I can try new menu items. Thank you for the great experience. This restaurant is great! Food tastes wonderful and the inside is beautiful!! Its more of a sport bar than a family joint but the atmosphere during lunch is kid friendly. They seem to have events quite often as well which is cool and has options for everyone (including vegans!) Fiance and I go here whenever we are in town. read more

I have eaten here three times already in the short time they have been open. My first time it was the menus that blew me away so many choices and the specialty dishes rock! The second visit was even better as the friendly staff and great service I received were top shelf! Last time I was in for just a drink at the bar and I has the chips and guacamole. I've been coming to Bambozzels since they first opened last year. I come here for lunch during the work week as well as for dinner & drinks on Friday, or Saturday night with my wife. The food here is very good and reasonably priced. Staff is friendly and professional. My personal favorite sandwich is the chicken avocado melt. I've had great soups and wings here too, as well as their nacho plate, which is very generous. The atmosphere is nice - very comfortable! Lots of TVs, if you want to watch a game. I like this place and feel it's a great addition to downtown West Dundee! read more

I had previously reviewed this place 1 star back when the pandemic was rampant. I had ordered an Italian Beef to pick up and it was absolutely dry! The flavor tasted what I would imagine drywall taste like, and I unfortunately had to throw it out after one bite. I now realize that my assessment was probably a bit too harsh considering everywhere in town was closed to the public, and they probably were getting little to no takeout orders. Two weeks ago I met up with a friend I haven't seen in years, and the service and food was fantastic! The lady bartender (I forget her name unfortunately) who was working Friday afternoon was absolutely great, and the cheese curds were to die for! I'd give another star, but the fried pickles were just sooo salty! I mean I know they're supposed to be salty lol, but the batter they're using had way too much salt I'd imagine, and we both ended up not eating them. I love what they have done with the place as far as remodeling, I haven't seen the upstairs yet, but this place has always had a special place in my heart back into the "Scotts Inn" and R Bar" days. Looking forward to trying other menu items and possibly upgrading my review. This was my first time to this restaurant. I went with a good friend of mine and sat at the bar. We both shared an order of the soft pretzels which were great! I ordered the spicy grilled chicken with a cup of clam chowder. The chicken was a bit on the dry side but ok. The soup was good. When I got the bill I was surprised the soup wasn't included. On the menu it is in between other dinner items that are. I would suggest making a separate area for dinner items that include soup or salad and ones that don't so it doesn't confuse the customer. read more

Stopped in here with the wife and kid when we were checking out the Underground Retrocade across the street. Really good food! The kid (8 yrs old) got mac & cheese that he loved and I got the chicken salad sand that was also really good. The best part is that the wife was able to get a gluten free burger and fries that was really good too! Fries were so good she even got a 2nd order just b/c finding GF fries is no easy task outside of Red Robin. The server was really attentive to our order and really made sure her stuff was fully GF. She has celiacs so finding a new place that gets the GF thing and is actually good is pretty priceless. The only knock I have at all is the tap water was not good....but just got a sprite instead and all was good. Highly recommend. read more

I've been here more than a few times. I don't think I've seen the same service people twice. Maybe that's why the service is going downhill fast. My wife and I went there for lunch today. After waiting 15 minutes for our order to be taken, we were told 30 minutes later that my wife's order was out of stock. So it took over an hour for lunch to arrive. Nice place. My wife and I have been here 4 times. All good experiences. The food is really good! Chips and salsa, meatloaf stacker, chicken over biscuits, taco Tuesday was good too. Several TVs,nice long bar, friendly people, home cooked food. Solid tavern worth visiting. Drink prices were fair, service was prompt, and the bar and dining seating was ample. I like the atmosphere but the server was clueless. Asked for a drink. Even pointed to the liquor, kettle infused with grapefruit, and she still got it wrong. He also communicated about last call and didn't rush us out the door after finishing. My husband and I have been coming here since they opened a few years ago. The food is always soooo good, I cannot think of anything we have had at Bamboozels that we did not like. Today I tried something new - the spicy fried chicken sandwich with dill pickles. Such a great new addition to the menu! The chicken breast was hand breaded and had just enough spice. I opted to eliminate the spicy bam sauce since I don't like any sauces on my sandwiches. The sandwich was so good, I ate the whole thing. My husband had the trucker breakfast which is his usual. He likes the option of having breakfast any time! Other menu items we like include: chili, any soup they may have, fried potato balls, burgers, and the ranch dressing is out of this world! The mixed drinks are always made perfect - not too watered down but not too stiff either. My husband likes the mini beer pitchers. We typically hit up Bamboozels about once a month and will continue to do so! read more

I have been here twice now and both times the food was very good and the service was fast and friendly. I had a burger and chips both times I was here. The dining area is a little small so I'm guessing on a busy night there will be a wait to be seated. The pricing on food is good too... $10 for burger and chips or fries! My son and I had lunch at Bamboozels yesterday. It was my first time there. I had the Meatloaf Stacker (meatloaf stacked between garlic mashed potatoes) and, it comes with the Chef's vegetable of the day. The meatloaf does come topped with onion straws but, since I don't like them, I asked for no onion straws. Man... that meatloaf and mashed potatoes is really, really good!! I did have leftovers for dinner. YuM!! My son had the fish and chips and WOW!!!!... that was a huge piece of fish with a TON of fresh cut fries. It looked really good too! His leftovers, he had left for another 3 meals. Also, my son mentioned he'd been there once before and had the Chicken Over Biscuits. He said it was really good. I would go there again and I would try the fish and chips, fried chicken or a sandwich. Too bad I didn't take a photo of the meatloaf or the fish and chips. :-( read more

We came here early on a Saturday night, and had the choice of seats.. good thing we were early since it filled up quickly after that. I had the slider trio with all three choices, chicken, burger, and pulled pork. It was delicious! My friend ordered the Mac n cheese burger, and raved about it. The place is not huge but it still is a decent size, I came in around 5 on a Saturday night. We were only looking for appetizers and a few cocktails but I would like to come back and try dinner. Great drink specials for a Saturday night, $4 house wines and $4 well cocktails. The only negative thing I can say isn't a huge issue. I tried to go to their website to view the menu prior and it wasn't up yet. The place has been open for a while so I was a little surprised, but over all staff was friendly and the food was great! This may have the best food in the area. Four of us stopped by and all tried different things. We all loved our meals, and sampled each others. All of the food was amazing. The meatloaf tower was delicious and best I ever had. Even the coleslaw was amazing and unique. It is a small place and looks like more of a bar inside so we really didn't expect such good food. The prices were very affordable considering the amount of food portions. The service was also good. There are several new places like this in this area so we will be visiting Dundee more often. read more

This place is a gem. I drove past it many times and had no idea what a great place it is. The last place at that location was a dive. What a surprise and huge improvement. Our server Lainy (sp?) was very friendly and explained how most of their food was made in house fresh daily. We could tell when we ate it. My husband is very picky and was pleasantly surprised. We really wanted to like this place, because it was local to us and they serve a vegan burger option we were excited to try. But unfortunately, we've gone once and I'm not sure if we'll be back. The place is far from being child-friendly. Maybe going during dinner hour on a weekend was a bad idea, because they clearly didn't seem interested in serving a family. Maybe it's different during lunch time, or during the week. Maybe it's not. You can't always dress up a bar as a family establishment. Best new place we have been in Dundee. We had diner and drinks. The menu has nice different items that are great. My wife had a Bamwich that was based on scrambled eggs with tater tots and can't stop talking aBout it. I think I could have eaten a quart of cold slaw it is the best I have ever had. Don't waste your money or time. If I could not give any stars I would. Sat at the bar. About 12 people in the entire place Friday 5:30PM. Two "bartenders", one young light hair very sweet served me my drink (house special) in longer than normal time. The other bartender short, mid 50ish with dark shoulder length hair seemed to be challenged making and serving drinks, was quite awhile before my boyfriend was served his beer. We ordered nachos, it took longer to get the older bartender's attention and finally order the nachos than to be served the nachos which were less than average. The older bartender did provide some entertainment when it took her 15 minutes to prepare a cocktail from a hand written recipe she pulled put of her pocket. Awful service from our server, was not friendly at all, went to the manager to complain and I noticed she's had a few drinks, especially from her slurring her words and apologizing that she's been drinking. I've never seen such a sloppy establishment. I understand having a good time, but to become sloppy drunk at your restaurant is embarrassing. I'll be sharing my review with people I know to not give you people service since clearly you don't care to be professional in your own restaurant, you shouldn't be allowed to drink so much during busy hours and I feel bad for your employees to be around such poor management. We have been at this Bar and Grill twice as a family and the food and service has been great! The portions are a good size and the prices are reasonable for the amount and quality of the food. We've been to Bamboozels 4-5 times and the owners seem like genuinely nice people with a good concept for the area. I'm hoping they succeed. We tend to order more cocktails than meals, but have ordered at least an appetizer each time. The servers and bartenders are usually nice and mostly efficient. The food is hit or miss, however. It's all edible, but there needs to be some small tweaks. Orders come out slow and are often wrong. For example, ordering tater tots and getting fries, ordering 2 appetizers but only receiving one, wrong toppings on burgers, ordering additional condiments but not receiving them, etc. The temperature of the food has been off a few times, also. If two people at the same table order fries, both plates should contain fries of at or around the same temp, not with one plate cold and crunchy and the other hot and soft. A burger cooked medium shouldn't be bright red in the middle. Now, they've only been open for a few months, so I'm chalking a lot of this up to growing pains, and I'm hoping they work out the kinks. A few menu items we liked were the cheese curds, pulled pork sandwich, and fried pickles. Everything is priced well and they have daily specials on drinks and food. read more
