We absolutely loved this quaint little restaurant located on Duval Street in the heart of historic Key West. We had breakfast here but they are also open for dinner. They serve great crêpes & other no frills fare in a laid back setting. If you like lobster you must try the lobster eggs benedict. You can tell the food is very fresh and local here. This is a great brunch place, though we stopped in for a late lunch. My fried lobster sandwich was a bit disappointing because it didn't have enough lobster and the lobster was so deeply fried, I could hardly taste it. This is one of my favorite breakfast/lunch spots in Key West! It is sooo good and the menu has so many great options. The first time I visited I ordered the La Pesto Shrimp. The Banana Cafe was an AWESOME experience! There was a bit of a line up to get in, and the hostess was super helpful, apologizing for our wait - but it wasn't long at all. We sat outside in the balcony area. Our server arrived promptly and took our drink order - I had a specialty cocktail whose name I can't recall (vodka, champagne, grapefruit juice perhaps?) and it was delicious and HUGE. My husband ordered the standard American Breakfast (eggs, bacon, home fries, toast) for about $15; I ordered the salmon & bagel that came with a very fresh simple green salad $19. Everything was delicious, super fresh, really nicely presented and healthy portions. We would have lingered over another drink LOL, but there was a crowd of people still waiting to get in, so we made haste and left to allow others to be seated. First visit downstairs was fantastic. We both had the breakfast croissant & coffee The service was fast & efficient despite it being on a small wait. Second visit was a hot mess. We were seated upstairs but our server was the bartender. She took five minutes to come over to us but wouldn't take our order yet & went back to making drinks for the other server upstairs. My group of three ordered the classic ham eggs benedict, the cheddar and potato frittata, as well as the strawberrry cheesecake crepe and the simple butter and sugar crepe. All four plates were delicious, ESPECIALLY the butter and sugar crepe, which was pleasantly surprising. About half an hour into our visit, the cafe experienced a power outage, which was swiftly restored within fifteen minutes. The staff was very apologetic, and our dishes came out within a reasonably short time considering the outage. We sat in the outdoor upper level deck decorated with adorable on-theme umbrellas and fans to keep the heat and bugs away. Very nice ambiance and perfect for a quiet breakfast on Duval. read more

Well the was a waste of $22 for the fish and chips. I ate half a piece of fish and it wasn't good the fries had no flavor and were served lukewarm.
