Most of the measure we have of a company is on it's services offered. Where I really value a company is on how they evolve over time and respond to issues that arise along the way. I've dealt with Bandago a handful of times. Some of the times there have been a few bumps along the way. Then again when those bumps came up was usually around Coachella which is as busy as it gets for this company, like well beyond normal operating capacity. I passed on my concerns and the owner reached out to me and we talked about. It means a lot to me when an owner will reach out and talk to me. I want to be able to rent from this company again so it's nice to get to talk through things. Honestly, there aren't many places you can go and rent a 12 passenger van that will also comfortably store that many people and a band's entire backline. For a niche as this service is, the rates are pretty reasonable and the staff is super nice, accommodating and easy to work with. I think it's important to keep in mind that travel is inclined to have some hiccups, missed expectations or just problems in general. One thing is certain, if I didn't have Bandago to rent from, my work would be so much harder. And for any time where something wasn't right, it was always made right. I don't think you can ask for much more than that. read more

I'm writing this review after waiting over a week for some sort of acknowledgement from Bandago following my survey. To date, nothing from them. First the positives, nice and friendly people in the Hollywood location. The Sprinter drove well and the mpg usage was reasonable. The cargo space is great! The cons, the vehicle was not very clean when I picked it up, particularly the cargo area. It was EXTREMELY dusty, as if the previous driver went on a weekend desert trip. The vehicle had a terrible smoke smell, no joke! Due to time constraints, I took the vehicle as is and headed towards Orange County to pick up my guests. One other thing I noticed after the fact was that several armrests were torn, this was kind of embarrassing considering this is supposed to be a "luxury vehicle". Once we arrived to Vegas, I was informed by people in my group that two guests went without seat belts the entire trip because the seat belts were stuck. Two of us tried pulling the seat belts as hard as we could in hopes that they would release but NO LUCK! Believe me, I was shocked to learn that they didn't say anything but then again, these ladies are rather young and maybe didn't realize the importance of wearing a seat belt. Upon returning the vehicle I did point out the seat belt issues. The guy yanked on both seat belts eventually freeing one but the other did not budge. He made note of the issue but offered no apology for this. This was rather disappointing. All of this is true, I took pictures of the torn armrests and video of the seat belt issues. I have it in case the owner would like to see it. Like I said, I waited over a week to hear back from someone following my feedback but no one at Bandago bothered to follow-up. As far as renting from Bandago again, I highly doubt I will rent from them again. I will likely go to Enterprise. If you didn't know, they have a luxury and exotic cars division. You even get a discount if you are a Costco member. Google it! read more

I had a great experience with this company. The credit card holder was from Japan and we had an additional authorization form to fill out since I was the one picking up the Van. The booking portion was nice and easy. When I picked up the Mercedes sprinter it was very clean and all of the electronics worked perfectly. TJ and Robert were both very nice and courteous. The van itself was in great shape it drove very well and was great on how much fuel it consumed. In the end I'm very glad I chose them and very glad that I went with the Mercedes model. All of my guests were very comfortable and appreciated the free WiFi and availability of power outlets in the van. I would recommend this company for your van rental needs. read more

"NOT SURE IF WE CAN FINE PEOPLE FOR UNREGISTERED DRIVERS, BUT IT SEEMS LIKE A GREAT IDEA IN THIS CASE" "THIS GROUP SEEMS SHADY" I have a problem with the workers (not all of them there was one nice guy at the hollywood location was talking to me about my band) One being some tough, hard ass at the Hollywood location who can't smile one bit and seem to give off an attitude when renting. And the young lady who works there carries the quality he doesn't, which is kindness, but lacks in common sense when she sent me over notes for a claim and called me a "Shady" customer and sent it to me. I respect the service they provide, the idea behind the business. Renting vehicles to musicians, or travelers at a descent price. 100$ a day for a 18 passenger van, 300$ a day for a sprinter with captains chairs. But I am not stoked on when they sent me a claim to pay 329$ when someone broke into the rental vehicle through the key slot on the drivers door. I understand if I'm liable for that because i mean they make you use your OWN insurance when you rent from them, not theirs. MOSTLY not stoked on how they accidentally sent the notes for the claim, where they mention "this group seems very SHADY" what business sends over notes and calls their customers "SHADY?" and has no decency to think of not disclosing those comments. I respect you have to record the situation. What are you going to write next that my skin is brown? What else are you going to disclose in the notes? My business has rented from this place twice before, having paid over thousands of dollars for each rental completely paid off on time. I am a good customer, and i admit when I arrived I didn't have my license because my wallet was missing, my manager glady forked over his DL and insurance information. Even when I return the vehicles and they have "trash" in them, I pay my "cleaning Fee" gladly. I have paid thousands in rentals to this company yet im shady? I recently rented a Ford 15 passenger transit van from Bandago in Los Angeles, CA for a southwest family vacation trip (NV, AZ mostly). The staff there that I had interacted with were great and very polite. I had some questions I asked about discounts and mileage and got a clear answer to my questions. As for the Ford 15 passenger transit van, there was only one minor issue which was a rubbing sound coming from the front right wheel well area. I emailed their customer service (it was late at night) to inquire about this issue and within the hour they responded back. They told me that the van was recently serviced and Ford transit vans typically have this issue and that the van was safe. I did my own research after and found this to be true. Other than that, the transit van was awesome and had no issues. When I returned the van the staff that I interacted with were great, friendly, and clearly answered my questions I had about the return of their transit van. Personally, I would use them again without a doubt. read more

Bandago is now my go-to van rental place. Was hesitant at first since this was my first time renting with them. They did not disappoint. The pick up process was very easy and fast. Got a brand new (600 miles) Ford transit. The van still has the factory brand new smell! The guys at the Hollywood location was great. Return process was pretty fast as well. Great experience for the family making a long road trip. Since my 25-year-old daughter was one, we would drive from L.A. to the Seattle area to see my in-laws. As the family grew, these became some of our most cherished memories. My daughter is now married, and wanted us to do the family trip again with my son-in-law; she wanted him to experience something important about her childhood. All great, but there are six of us now, and my boys are over 6'0. We travel with two guitars and a cello, so mini vans and suburbans don't work for us. I found Bandago online. Plenty of comfortable seating, and a huge luggage compartment. Luggage and gifts were always hard to fit. For the first time with this vehicle, I am like, "Oh, you need to bring that extra set of bags? No problem." The vehicle was great to drive (actually fun), and functioned beautifully. The only issue we had was the Xbox did not work. But my kids connected their Switch to the flatscreen, so it was all good. My experience with the employees who answered my calls and checked me in or out were excellent - young people doing a good work. I recommend Bandago. read more

We are an Australian band who had our van broken into during our tour. The van was damaged during the break in and so we had to take it to Bandagos nearest depot to get a replacement van. We had no issue with paying for the damage to the van but were very disappointed upon receiving their invoice that they had also billed us for the mileage and gas we used in order to return the damaged van to their depot. As a touring band who lost numerous valuable items such as laptops and passports in the break in, plus were facing a $900 damage bill, to then bill us for the gas and particularly the mileage that was used out of necessity to swap the vehicle was certainly not customer or band friendly in our view. Would not recommend them due to this. Poor form Bandago. read more

Easy transaction. The Sprinter van was as advertised. There could be improvement on the X Box game selection and quality (games were scratched and skipped/froze during play). There was also a leak issue in the rear A/C, in which the Bandago staff did their best to resolve while on our trip, but were unable as MB in our location had no appointments avail. They did provide a credit for the inconvenience without needing to be prompted to do so, which was very stand up of them. Would definitely use them again, but may consider the Ford Transit due to the A/C issue. read more

As far as I'm concerned there are no other places to rent a vehicle like the ones Bandago supplies. As a long-time renter I have never ever had a problem with any of them. I have used their facilities in Hollywood Chicago, and New Jersey. The extremely high level of service, friendliness and professionalism of their staff is consistent across the board. I called these people to rent a van that we were going to need for a summer vacation for two weeks. First guy I spoke with, Ben, he said I could return the van after hours since I would be renting the van for two weeks. I called back the next day and spoke with some guy who was extremely rude and said there was no way I could do that. Very bad attitude towards me. Poorly run business. Made me question the safety of their vehicles. I then called back a few days later and asked them to change my pick up and drop off date. He said he would send the changes via e-mail. Never received an email so I called back later and they gave my van to someone else. I couldn't believe it! We were now stuck without a van for our trip and their attitude was like, 'tough luck, buster!' Fortunately, we discovered United auto rentals in Newport Beach that saved the day. They were extremely professional, polite, and efficient. We ended up getting a van from them two days before our trip. I would never, ever rent from bandago again. If they don't care about the customer which is their most important asset, why would they care about anything else? read more

Very impressed with these guys. From the reservation I scheduled last minute to pickup of the van was a pleasant experience. Arrived early for pickup and staff was open before 9am getting things ready. They started getting my rental ready before 9 and sent me on my way. They were courteous and very nice. The return was just as pleasant experience. I was running late for drop off and phoned them. They said no worries just get here safe. They didn't charge late fee or give me a hard time. The van wasn't any nicer than the ones at the airports, but they do cost a little more. None of the electronics worked. When I complained they pointed me to the fine print on the contract saying they don't guarantee any of the electronics ..., well if they don't guarantee it that means there's no incentive on their part to properly maintain it or to make sure it's in working order. Besides, it's always tacky to rely on fine print and leave a customer unhappy. They shoulda' given me $50 or $100 off and called it a day. When I picked it up they said it had just been overhauled so everything should be working fine. Not. Also, I left my blue tooth earbud in the cup holder. They shoulda' called me to tell me they found it. The people are very very nice at the hollywood location. But they're so chill it's a little creepy... meaning they don't have a very "professional" air about them. read more
