We ordered take out through door dash because i had credits, but we did pick up instead of delivery. The pick up was easy, however, we did not get the type of sauce we asked for- and you select it with your order. I didnt get any St Louis sweet but got Chicago and spicy. Also, the size of their sides is just silly. I definitely get larger sides with take out at other local bbq places for the same amount of money or less. Honestly, I wanted to order from one of the other local bbq places and my husband requested bandanas ... he regretted his decision when we opened the containers. We won't be regular customers for carry out, maybe for dine in, but that is a maybe. St. Louis has a lot of bbq places that are more generous in their helpings for less money. Bandana's has a lot more competition than they used to and they probably need to step it up a bit to compete.

This is the second time we've been to this chain. Different location but this one was just as good. They actually had a sauce I don't think the other had. I ordered the budget rib platter which only had 2 ribs, I feel like it should have had 4. Potato salad was excellent. Our server was very friendly and quick. The dining room was pretty stead but not over loud. Would return. We also got dessert which was very good. Not sure it was $8 worthy but it was quite good.

The BEST BBQ I have ever had. I always get the turkey platter. No other barbecue restaurant even compares.

Smokee Mo's BBQ - Don't Judge the Parking Lot…read more Hungry and tired after a long stretch from Chicago, a stop at Gateway Arch, and still miles to go toward Arkansas, we landed in Arnold just needing food and a place to land. From the parking lot... I'll be honest, we had doubts. The kind where you look at each other and silently ask, "Are we sure?" But we walked in anyway, and that's where the story turns. Inside, Smokee Mo's is all easygoing, country charm. Welcoming, unpretentious, and full of that "you're gonna be just fine here" energy. The service was friendly right away, no fuss, just good people doing their thing. Then the food showed up, and any hesitation disappeared fast. We shared pulled pork and brisket, with sides of broccoli casserole, beans, and potato salad, plus cheesy garlic bread because... obviously. Everything was flavorful, satisfying, and exactly what you want when you've been on the road too long. No frills, just solid, comforting BBQ that hits the spot. Lesson learned (again): don't judge a place by its parking lot. Sometimes the best meals are hiding behind the most unassuming doors. If you're passing through and running on empty, this is the kind of stop that resets your mood and fills you up in all the right ways.

The full order of nachos were served on a serving tray (lined with paper), about a large bags worth of chips, Baked Beans, cheese sauce, red onions, jalapeños and pulled pork. This itself was a ton of food! The chips tasted a little stale, and cheese sauce tasted like it was out of a can. There were plenty of toppings to go with all of those chips. The pulled pork was lean and tender. The spicy buttered corn was tasty and flavorful. The mac and cheese was very cheesy, made with multiple cheeses. The decor was like a rustic saloon, and it was clean with plenty of tables. The staff were courteous and helpful (the menu is confusing - different descriptions online, on the printed fliers, and the menu boards.

What really stood out to me was the service we received! I really appreciated not being rushed through our meal. The fact that they actually let you order your courses separately so they're not coming out on top of each other was refreshing. And even though it was a Friday night and there were others waiting to get in we weren't rushed to pay our bill but instead invited to take our time. We hadn't seen or heard much about their pizzas, but we were in the mood for one and decided to order the meat pizza. It was made in a brick oven and it was really tasty. Honestly there were so many toppings that we ended up asking for an extra cup of the marinara sauce to dip it in. The sauce is made in house, it was delicious and the waitress said it's the same one that's used with the spaghetti and meatballs. In regard to the pizza size even though they're considered personal pizzas it was definitely bigger than we were anticipating. I would say they're close to 11 to 12 inches in diameter. My husband and I each enjoyed two pieces with our salad and took the other half home with us. They are definitely big enough to share, especially if you're ordering an appetizer or a salad to go with it. Our group very much enjoyed the artichoke spinach dip. It came with bread that had been cooked in their brick oven and I love that the spinach was in bigger pieces. My husband, and I also shared the harvest salad which had butternut squash on it, candied pecans & goat cheese. It was really yummy. Others in our group enjoyed the salmon and the crispy chicken sandwich. I had recently seen on a local Jefferson County page that many people consider Twisted Tavern the best place for a good piece of cake specifically, their wedding cake . Truth is that was the primary reason why I suggested this restaurant to meet our friends at but sadly by the time we finished our meal and were ready to order dessert they had already sold out. We were told this does not usually happen. Overall, we found tasty fresh food made in house, great service and fair prices. I am already planning another visit to the Twisted Tavern (so I can try their wedding cake! ).

We ordered apps. Spinach dip, onion rings, fried pickles, Brussel sprouts, and aside of spaghetti. The brussels sprouts were nicely fried, a little greasy. The fried pickles were lightly breaded, but very salty. The side of spaghetti was large enough to be a full serving. Wasn't overly impressed with the food, but the service here was top-notch.

The Good: The Brisket burnt ends were very good with good flavor. The service was very good and the food was delivered very quickly. But that's the extent of the good.... The Bad: The "Pork Steak Burger" was a major disappointment. It was served with nothing on the bun. No Onion...No Pickle...No lettuce...Nothing. Dry ground meat on a cheap hamburger bun. The burger did not have the flavor or moistness of a pork steak. It is pork run through a meat grinder with no seasoning added. VERY Bland...and at $7 was overpriced. I was amazed that there were NO Pork Steaks on the menu...! That is a fatal flaw that will prevent us from ever returning. The slaw was flavorless with too much vinegar and large chunks of cabbage that should have been ground or cut into smaller pieces. It was closer to a cabbage salad with vinegar dressing than traditional "slaw". My wife could not eat more than 1/4th of her serving due to the taste. The sides were substantially more expensive than the local BBQ competition. Standard sides like potato salad/beans/ slaw were all $3 for an average serving. Sides at competitive BBQ in the area are $1.89-$1.99 for better tasting food. A slab of ribs with (2) sides was $24. A slab with (3) sides at the competition is $2 cheaper. The only water they offer is bottled water for $1 a bottle. The BBQ sauce is served in bottles that have no labels. You have no idea what you are getting. They need to install a fly trap. We had pesky fly's competing with us for our meal throughout dinner. If you want excellent BBQ...Including Pork Steaks...Caledonia BBQ, Bailey Jo's in Ironton and Dexter BBQ are ALL better BBQ and more reasonably priced. When the new Sugar Fire BBQ opens in Farmington I will be surprised if Big Dick's in Farmington is still open a year from now.
