I met a lady for our second date here as I've rarely had something go off the rails with an order. Everything went fairly well, yet I had a few concerns: 1. I arrived a bit early to get a table set up. I had asked for a freestanding table as I have had hip surgery last year and sliding into a booth is not fun. I was told only the booths were available as no servers were on their shift yet for tables. Kinda strange to me but wasn't going to let that bother me. 2. The server was VERY attentive, my date actually said too attentive. Anytime the server walked by our booth, regardless of how short the time had been since the previous stop, we were asked if we needed anything. This did get a bit old as we were often involved in a discussion but again I didn't let it bother me. We both got Flo's filet, she got the smaller and I got the larger, I love steak for leftovers the next day. Both our steaks were prepared properly but my larger cut was a bit fatty and I cut that off the meat. She had a regular baked potato and said it was fine. I had the twice baked potato and I don't recommend this. It seemed overcooked, but not HOT, if that makes sense. The bacon was extra crunchy, the cheese was hard and would not pull apart, just not a good choice for a side. We both had salads and as a starter item it was as good as any other salad at a restaurant. I had sweet tea, it was very good. She had an adult beverage, I believe it was the strawberry lemonade, and said it was good. I'm not sure I would come back here as I have never gotten a bad steak from either of the 2 closest steakhouses (twisted tree and Texas Roadhouse) and I like their sides better. Rolls are amazing at Texas Roadhouse and the honey wheat loaf at Longhorn just seems to pale in comparison to those. I want places to be successful to have diversity in selecting a place to eat but not sure this time proved out. It also was NOT inexpensive for an average level steakhouse. read more

It's been a while since dining at LongHorn and decided to eat dinner here. We were seated in the bar area at a booth. The seats were dirty and we had to clean off crumbs left behind. We almost left then but it was close to 10 (they close at 11) and stayed. The bartender, our server, was attentive. It looks like they were pretty steady and short staffed because he was running around a lot. The tables look like they could use a good deep cleaning because the decor was very dusty. My salad never came before my meal so I swapped out the salad for broccoli to eat together. The broccoli was cooked perfect. My steak was not cooked at the right temperature. I asked for medium rare but it was medium well. I didn't send it back because I was too hungry to wait They ran out of the seasoning they add to the corn but they offered to get another side. The steak was seasoned well, just not cooked right. The bread they offered was too hard. When spending money at any establishment, you should always expect great service and food quality. Longhorn in Sunset just lost a lot of customers, and while they probably won't care, I need the public to. I called yesterday to see if they could make an exception and take a reservation for 1/23 at 6:00 pm. My coworker's stepson is 15 years old and is dying from Leukemia. The hospital sent him home because there is nothing to do for him. His family asked what he wanted and all he said was, "Longhorn Steakhouse." The family tried going there on 1/9 and 1/10 to a 2 hour wait. Jax can't wait that long to eat with his compromised immune system and the cancer. Dan, the manager, said they could not make that accommodation especially on a Friday night. I asked to talk to his manager and he was busy but Dan promised he'd call me back. Nick called me back, but gave the same answer as Dan. They just can't take a reservation or accommodate large parties. This is not a Longhorn policy or best practice because I called other Longhorns and got the family a reservation. That Longhorn will get a raving review after the family has dinner. All we wanted was a table of 9 at 6:00pm on a Friday for this young boy who only wants a steak as his dying wish. It seemed like a no brainer to me. Nick and Dan both refused and were not a bit shocked or offended when I said they lost our business. If you need a steak from Longhorn, please choose a different one other than the Sunset Hills location, because they do business based off of judgement, not empathy. Don't stop if you're hungry..... Decided to stop in at a familiar favorite, Texas Roadhouse on a Sunday night. Place is hopping busy for 5pm, but was able to be seated quickly. Our guest enjoyed the western decor. Sydney our server was right on things and took our drink order. Received our drinks quick and a loaf of hot and fresh bread. A little wait to give our meal orders. The wait for the food was looonngg. Finally got the salad after about 25 minutes after ordering. Meal Finally came at about the 45 minute mark. Overall about 1.5 hours I got the 6oz renegade steak medium with Caesar salad and baked potato. FYI- the steak comes with the salad and baked potato. Baked potato was nice sized and cooked just right. The steak was good to OK. Caesar salad was very good and nice sized for a side salad. Guest got the 1/2 lb steakhouse cheeseburger with Brussel sprouts - which are an extra $3 (we didn't know that when we ordered). But he said the Brussel sprouts were amazingly delicious. If you like, brussels sprouts, he highly recommend. Spouse got the eight count, red rock grilled shrimp with seasoned rice and a sweet potato. She got the strawberry salad.(which is also an additional three dollars.) she said the salad is amazing. The shrimp was very good and the rice was very good and as usual Longhorn as one of the best baked sweet potatoes in town. Having dined-in at Longhorn countless times over the years, I can confidently say the food never disappoints and I always leave with a happy belly! My most recent visit, however, is why i'm leaving this review. It was hands down the best meal i've had there. The spicy chicken bites are a must try. I'm not sure what magic they put in that sauce, but it's SO DELICIOUS, I would honestly come back just for those. This time, they generously loaded our plate up with them, huge shoutout to the cooks for that. My medium-rare filet was cooked perfectly, incredibly tender and juicy, making me wish I'd ordered a bigger one. My fries were nicely crisp and don't even get me started on the mac and cheese.... words don't do it justice. It's absolutely INCREDIBLE, my go to side. It's so cheesy and delightful with breadcrumbs and bacon. My boyfriend's go to, the Parmesan crusted chicken, is also very good, even for someone who doesn't typically favor grilled chicken, that cheesy crust makes it wonderful! For our entrees we ordered the Parmesan crusted chicken breast with steamed asparagus and Redrock shrimp and sirloin combo with baked potato and asparagus. The asparagus was delicious and cooked perfectly. The sirloin had good flavor and was prepared the way we asked for it. The Rodrick shrimps were huge but a bit overcooked. The portion size was good though on everything. The restaurant was clean and seemed to be well managed. Would go back there again. A recent takeout experience at your Sunset Hills,Mo. location on January 07, 2026 My order was scheduled for a 9:00 PM pickup, and I arrived at the designated takeout space (#3) and notified your team via the LongHorn Noble app that I was present. Unfortunately, I had to enter the restaurant at around 9:15 PM, I found my order sitting on the bar counter, already cold. When I inquired about the timing, I was informed that it had been ready since 9:00 PM. But no one brought it to the vehicle in pickup space # 3, The steak, which was ordered as medium-rare, was cold and then reheated, resulting in a quality that was far from acceptable. To add to the frustration, there was a lack of proactive communication and no acknowledgment from the manager. The bartender did not explain what was happening and eventually took the order away to be reheated, which did not meet the standard of quality I expected. Hopped here after found out it was near Bass Pro Shops. I got seated quickly, and heads up: the lighting will be dimmed. Seats, tables and restrooms were neat and tidy. Prices were a bit unfair in my opinion. Service was decent. I may be biased, but I'm not the largest fan of steak. Don't get me wrong, some of the other food was good. The bread came out hot and fresh, and the salad wasn't very stale and tasted valid. Portions were decent, but steak was too chewy for my taste, and I ordered medium rare. I don't know what the name of the female bartender which was finally available to take our non-alcoholic beverages. I need them to pay closer attention to their orders. The other night, my husband and I placed a carry out order. When I opened my soup I noticed there were no cheese on top but I proceeded to take a spoonful that included potato and broth. Then to my surprise I notice a shrimp in the soup. Well they gave me Shrimp and Lobster chowder instead of Loaded Potato Soup. The problem with that is I'm allergic to shellfish, so I experienced an allergic reaction. The soup was labeled as Loaded Potato Soup. I couldn't enjoy the rest of my dinner since my esophagus had swollen. I woke up the following morning to a sore neck. This could have went horribly wrong. We left the house at 5:45 pm for dinner, arriving at Longhorn around 6:00 pm. The place was so chaotic and crowded, and no body knew where to check in to get on the waitlist. There was an long wait, but it was a dinner for my birthday so we waited for a good hour. People were pouring put of the restaurant, but they weren't letting other people in. When they eventually did, people that arrived 20 minutes after us, (same party size of 3), were being seated, but not us. Everyone was confused on where to check in and wait. When we were finally seated, we got our drinks and appetizer after waiting for 20 minutes. The waitress made sure to talk bad about her previous party for asking for re-fires of their food, and that they were "very difficult". Our waitress didn't come back for another 20 minutes, and she was talking and laughing in the back; we never saw her wait on any other tables. When we finally got our food, me and another member of my party ordered steaks, (Flo's Filet and Ribeye, which we both ordered medium). My steak came out rare, and my party member's steak was hardly cooked at all. My party member's sweet potato had a giant lump of cinnamon sugar on it, (like a giant spoonful), which was spilled onto the broccoli and the steak as well. Our waitress was very rude to us when we mentioned our steaks not being cooked properly, so we did end up asking about a manager, (I know it's annoying but our service at this point was horrible). The manager was nice enough to give us a re-fire on our plates, and we waited for 10 minutes for our food to come back out. When it did, my party member's steak looked medium to medium-rare, but my steak didn't look like it had cooked any longer. I didn't even have to say it, the manager knew it still wasn't what I asked for. He took it off of the bill and took it back to the kitchen for yet another re-fire. I was tired of the whole ordeal so I didn't say anything about my steak when is came back beige on one side and reddish-pink on the other. I tried to eat it but it was so chewy, which a filet mignon shouldn't be! My broccoli wasn't cooked at all, and my potato was still hard. I went to the women's bathroom, and there weren't any paper towels, and they were out of soap. When I got back, our waitress was so condescending and rude the whole experience. The vibe was so off from what it usually is like when we come. I hate to complain, but what was supposed to be my birthday dinner with family, turned into a 3.5 hour ordeal with bad food and horrible service. I can't recommend this Longhorn to anyone who wants steak, which is ridiculous because it is a STEAKHOUSE. It's my first time in Missouri and after a very long drive we had to stop for lunch. My husband has highly recommended Longhorn because he really likes the Branson experience with Longhorn when he came on a business trip. We checked in their Lindbergh branch. I was excited to try their food but did not enjoy the most part of the experiment because: 1. The steak was chewy. 2 the food (ie. steak, onion soup) were over seasoned . 3. The strawberries in the strawberry salad were very sour. 4. Our server, Kaitlyn seem to be having a really bad day. What I liked about the experience: 1. The hostess (front desk) was warm and welcoming. 2. While I feel that the steak was over-seasoned and chewy I liked the smoky taste. 3. The overall ambiance of the place is cozy and relaxing. I would give Longhorn another try coming back from our trip and hope it would be a better experience. We normally really like Long Horn. When we pulled into the parking lot tonight (Saturday 8/31) around 9:30 pm there were about 10 staff members on the side of the restaurant taking what I assume is a smoke break. We thought that odd but still went in. When we entered there were 3 people sitting there that appeared to be waiting to be seated. A woman finally came out of the back and began apologizing to one of the customers, who was visually not happy, about the time it was taking for his order to be done. After speaking to him she turned around and went to the back. No acknowledgment to anyone else in the lobby. We stood and waited another 5 minutes after that and still no one bothered to greet us or take our names. We decided to leave. When we walked back to our car there were still 5 employees standing on the side of the restaurant smoking instead of being inside to help serve the customers. read more

The steak comes with two sides and the serving is so generous our sides don't fit on the oversized plate and one side comes in it's own side dish. These look like they are sold as shareable sides, as many steakhouses do, sell you sides at a separate price, but no these are not sold separately it's the sides that come with your order, and it is reasonably priced. 11/23/21 Workers do not wear masks and even when they do they have them only covering their mouth, not nose. Restaurants are a high traffic area. If a patron is required to wear a mask then why aren't servers wearing them and doing so appropriately? As we waited for a table I called the actual Restaurant (didn't want to make an in person complaint because well...I hear stories about what happens to food when someone complains) and a man answered- stated he was a manager. I told him the issue about the lack of masks and he did NOTHING. We left. We will not be returning to this location. Absolutely unacceptable that a manager (maybe his name was Brian?) would hear the concern from a patron and not address it at all. A friend of mine had been declaring that the margarita here was the best ever. While I usually avoid at comments like that... best ever... yeah right, I decided to give it a shot. My friend makes a pretty spectacular margarita herself and has probably tried every margarita within a 40 mile range, so she might really know. After a quick trip into Bed, Bath and Beyond (very bitter young girl checked us out...I felt sad for her) and Old Navy (Love those sales associates.), she talked me into (quite easily actually) trying one of these AMAZING margaritas. Abby, the bartender, greeted us with a smile and was super funny and nice. I knew that even if the margarita was gross it was gonna be a good time. We ordered our drinks and decided to have a little food. I had the French onion soup. Good. And my friend got the Wild West Shrimp, there were so many little shrimp on this plate it was practically a meal. Now that being said I'm not reviewing the food which was...ah, good. I'm reviewing the margarita. It was exceptional. Honestly. It was, dare I say it, the Perfect Margarita. We ended up each having one and then splitting a third. (Day drinking is fun!) This was my first visit here for a random weekday dinner night. We got a gift card from a friend so decides to try out the place. When we arrived their parking lot was full for a Tuesday so we were little worried we'd have to wait a while. Turns out they have plenty of seats and service was very quick. We ordered shrimp for apps per our servers recommendation and it was a great choice. Very well seasoned and portion was generous we had a leftover. We also ordered some ribs with side salad and sweet potatoes And they gave us option for cinnamon sugar and butter which I thought was fantastic. Reason for 4 star is because food was average. As we become empty nesters we have learned to "share" a meal. Had to use a gift card so Longhorn it is. Ended up eating at the bar due to wait, but full menu is offered so cant beat eating and catching some of the NCAA Tournament. Our drinks were strong!!
