Went to Longhorn's to celebrate my husband's birthday while traveling. We had the best service, nice friendly staff, great food and just an enjoyable evening. Very nice decor and not too loud. It was perfect!

Don't stop if you're hungry..... Decided to stop in at a familiar favorite, Texas Roadhouse on a Sunday night. Place is hopping busy for 5pm, but was able to be seated quickly. Our guest enjoyed the western decor. Sydney our server was right on things and took our drink order. Received our drinks quick and a loaf of hot and fresh bread. A little wait to give our meal orders. The wait for the food was looonngg. Finally got the salad after about 25 minutes after ordering. Meal Finally came at about the 45 minute mark. Overall about 1.5 hours I got the 6oz renegade steak medium with Caesar salad and baked potato. FYI- the steak comes with the salad and baked potato. Baked potato was nice sized and cooked just right. The steak was good to OK. Caesar salad was very good and nice sized for a side salad. Guest got the 1/2 lb steakhouse cheeseburger with Brussel sprouts - which are an extra $3 (we didn't know that when we ordered). But he said the Brussel sprouts were amazingly delicious. If you like, brussels sprouts, he highly recommend. Spouse got the eight count, red rock grilled shrimp with seasoned rice and a sweet potato. She got the strawberry salad.(which is also an additional three dollars.) she said the salad is amazing. The shrimp was very good and the rice was very good and as usual Longhorn as one of the best baked sweet potatoes in town. Sydney was quick to keep drinks flowing and even brought us a second loaf of bread. It's a nibble on during the long wait. Overall Dinner was good Wait was loonnngg Watch out when they tell you the sides - there could be charges

Spicy Chicken Bites (had already started snacking on)

Having dined-in at Longhorn countless times over the years, I can confidently say the food never disappoints and I always leave with a happy belly! My most recent visit, however, is why i'm leaving this review. It was hands down the best meal i've had there. The spicy chicken bites are a must try. I'm not sure what magic they put in that sauce, but it's SO DELICIOUS, I would honestly come back just for those. This time, they generously loaded our plate up with them, huge shoutout to the cooks for that. My medium-rare filet was cooked perfectly, incredibly tender and juicy, making me wish I'd ordered a bigger one. My fries were nicely crisp and don't even get me started on the mac and cheese.... words don't do it justice. It's absolutely INCREDIBLE, my go to side. It's so cheesy and delightful with breadcrumbs and bacon. My boyfriend's go to, the Parmesan crusted chicken, is also very good, even for someone who doesn't typically favor grilled chicken, that cheesy crust makes it wonderful! Overall, I love Longhorn, it's always been one of my top dinner choices for a reason :3

Restaurant in as clean and we were seated quickly. Just got a baked potato and broccoli with a beer. Beer was more than the other 2 items combined! Came out quickly and was tasty. Our server was friendly and didn't seem bothered by us sitting and talking for a while.

Half-Pound Steakhouse Cheeseburger with potato soup

Good burgers and great service from Shelby during a busy lunch hour. I have to say I was disappointed with the potato soup. Not at all like the last time I was there. Basically, half cooked potato cubes and bacon bits added to cheese sauce. One spoonful was enough for me. But, the burgers were great and my friend enjoyed the onion soup. The lunch specials are a great value; I'll be back, but will pass on the potato soup.

Excellent service! My go-to meal here is a 6-ounce sirloin with a sweet potato. They always prepare it like I like it.

    Wild West Shrimp

The food was great! My all time favorite appetizer is the Wild West shrimp. It is really what brings me back. The service was amazing. I wish they had one closer to where I live. If we are ever back in town we will be stopping by.

I need them to pay closer attention to their orders. The other night, my husband and I placed a carry out order. When I opened my soup I noticed there were no cheese on top but I proceeded to take a spoonful that included potato and broth. Then to my surprise I notice a shrimp in the soup. Well they gave me Shrimp and Lobster chowder instead of Loaded Potato Soup. The problem with that is I'm allergic to shellfish, so I experienced an allergic reaction. The soup was labeled as Loaded Potato Soup. I couldn't enjoy the rest of my dinner since my esophagus had swollen. I woke up the following morning to a sore neck. This could have went horribly wrong. I wasn't going to post this and make it public but I gave the company ample time to respond and I still haven't heard anything. It's unfortunate because I love Longhorn restaurants.

The kind of place where they welcome you and are truly appreciative of your patronage. The Stellar Hog is one of those places. Located in an older neighborhood all by itself, we were greeted by the owner who took us to our table. The first thing you notice is the smell. It's a wonderful BBQing meat smell that makes you can't wait to eat. The place is bigger on the inside than it looks and very clean. There's an outdoor eating area as well. We ordered at the bar, both my friend and I ordering the OG Brisket Sandwiches, mine with Coleslaw and my friend's with fries. No sooner did we sit down did our food come, and WOW, the sandwiches were huge with a pile of perfectly cooked melt in your mouth Brisket. I'm hard pressed to remember any better. The coleslaw was, well, different and hard to explain, but had a tangy mustard kind of taste. The fries on my buddy's plate were fantastic as well. The owner checked on us several times, and obviously valued us as customers. BBQ is huge in St. Louis and the big places and chains get all the attention. The sides were good, but both missed the mark on elite for me. I would love to experiment with some others! Oh, and their house bbq sauce is splendid. Like that is legit stuff. Smoky, tangy, a hint of heat serves a reminder it's at the party, but not the reason you came. As far as bbq in stl goes, this is rightfully pitted as some of the most illustrious!

I had never had brisket before having that sandwich, now my mouth waters any time I talk about this restaurant! The cole slaw that I had as a side provided the perfect crunch and balance. My mate had the pulled pork sandwich, which was also very tender. I also loved having a variety of barbecue sauces on the table and was able to try each one. Everyone has a preference, I'm sure, but after trying each one, I am completely sold on the Carolina gold. Salmon was smoky and flaky, the fries the hand cut style with skin on. Both tasted great with my favorite coffee BBQ sauce. The hushpuppies came out piping hot with a sweet sauce on the side. I also grabbed a piece of sweet cornbread with honey butter, and fried green tomatoes with a lemon aïoli. The bones were not rendered as much as I would've liked, the fat layers were still too thick. But the flavor was good. And every table has six different sauces and you can have as much sauce as you want. I tried them all, and my personal favorites were the Carolina mustard, and the Texas hot sauce. The white barbecue was also very interesting. But they're all good. Fried green tomatoes were terrific! Broccoli salad and the coleslaw were pretty tasteless. As was the cornbread. Really wouldn't describe that as sweet cornbread. It seemed a mostly just wheat flour cornbread. The honey butter on its own was really the best side. I'm not unhappy that I came here, but would I seek it out again or try something else in the area? I would try something else in the area. And for that reason I am leaning toward 3 starts. Although the staff is terrific and really hustles here, and that is why I have to bump this up to four stars.
