    Receipt for two.

This used to be our go-to spot for a quick AYCE KBBQ fix, but after tonight, never again. We waited almost an hour just to get our first round of meats. We had to ask multiple times for water, repeatedly request refills on sides that never came, and our grill was never changed out--we even had to ask for more coals ourselves. It never used to be like this, so I'm not sure what happened. When we finally got the check, we noticed a $10 "Add" charge. The only extra thing we ordered was one bowl of rice--if we had known it was $10, we wouldn't have minded, but it should've been mentioned. On top of that, we were charged a gratuity for just two people without being told it would be added automatically. Honestly, you're better off going to K-Town or HAN--better service, better prices, and way more meat options (not just five options).

I wish I had taken more photos but I was too busy eating! Came here for a date night and we were seated right away. We ordered the all you can eat option! There were a handful of different types of meats. The side dishes were brought out right away with a good amount of variety! The servers were nice and helpful and gave us all the info we needed to have a great time! Highly recommend! :)

    Jjajangmyeon

Ordered delivery. Sauce to noodle ratio is way off, twice as much sauce as noodles. Not made authentically: noodles are too thin and it has beef instead of pork. Also tastes like a white person made it, there's zero flavor. Does anyone in Indy do jjajangmyeon properly?

First time at a Korean BBQ restaurant. I was quite pleased. The setup, presentation, interactivity, Amount of sides, and quality of meat/ marinade were GREAT. It isn't often I leave a restaurant complete satisfied with the food Satisfaction / price ratio. This was worth every bit of the $28 for my dish. Staff and customer service was solid as well. I'll definitely return.

    Korean style chinese combo

Food was fine, but too overly priced. We got the Chinese style combo - noodles, fried rice, and sweet & sour pork, together at $50. We were expecting three full size dishes but all came in half size. Didn't try traditional Korean style dishes - they might be better. but again, bulgogi charges $30 which seems overpriced.

The food was good, but value-wise this was a complete flop. I usually don't nick-pick on prices bc eating out is a choice, but this AYCE was probably one of the worst if not the worst value I've had at a Korean bbq place. The AYCE has rules and I've been to many, but this one says before you can order AYCE, you must finish their platter of prepared meats first, and then you can order whichever you like... Their prepared meats consisted a lot of pork, chicken, bacon, and brisket. The AYCE is for meats only and everything else on the menu is a la cart. So we were really looking forward to kalbi, but by the time we finished their platter of meats we were already full. We also ordered a few side items. It seems that it may be better to order whatever meats you want a la cart than to do AYCE. My party of 2 was also charged for gratuity. This AYCE place was totally unlike any others that I have been to. The meats from the first platter were okay, but definitely not we had in mind when we came here. There was a lack of transparency that really turned me off. From the menu to the bill. I would have not known gratuity was already calculated if I had not asked, nor does the menu state the gratuity policy. I've been in the service industry for many years, so I know how to tip and which is really up to the customer, to be honest. Every restaurant is different, but this one doesn't really seem attractive to me. Glad I tried it though, looking forward to the search of another Kbbq place in Indy.

Korean food is one of my favorite cuisines and I am so glad that I was able to try Bando. We decided to order off their dinner menu which had classic Korean dishes such as kimchi jigae, japchae, and other stews. There is also a great deal on AYCE Korean BBQ for $35/pp. Both my fiancé and I tried a Jiigae (stew). Each came with a bowl of white rice and banchans. We were shocked by how many banchans they had. They served 14 unique banchans that were all very delicious. My favorite was the seaweed salad. The kimchis (cabbage, cucumber, and daikon) were also very good. I tried the gwangjang jjigae which is a fermented soybean stew. So flavorful and perfectly savory! I've never tried this dish before and now it's one of my favorites. One important note: the menu stated that the stew had tofu but didn't mention that it would contain anchovies. If you're vegan or vegetarian, I would suggest asking if there are any animal products in your dish. My fiancé tried the kimchi jjigae which had pork chunks. He loved it and thought it was the best version he's had. I tried some of the broth and it was very delicious. Service was very friendly and prices were reasonable considering how many side dishes were served. We are so glad to have found Bando for our Korean food cravings!

Took my wife out for some Korean BBQ for her birthday. We have pork belly and beef bulgolgi for our meats. Plenty of sides as well. Overall it was Excellent food and excellent service. My only disappointment was the portion size of the pork belly (5 strips) as would as liked a couple of more slices.

There is no transparency for room rates here and this gives a business an opportunity to swindle you. I originally had a party of 10 people and confirmed a reservation 2 weeks ahead of the time reserved. I was told to pay $100 deposit in addition to the $100/hr rate for the room. There is no clarity if that deposit can be refunded or what the policy is on the website or readily available to customers when they are on site. I discovered that this deposit is non-refundable, which is unfortunate that I had to eat that cost. Unfortunately, my party of 10 went down to a party of 6 due to funerals, COVID, and other uncontrollable circumstances. I tried calling several times prior to the reservation (Sunday and Wednesday before the Saturday reserved time) I was told on my final call speaking with the manager that since the group had reduced to 6 people they could put us at $50/hr in the small room. However, when I showed up, I was told that we were still in the $80/hr and there was no changing that. Also, we had a lot of technical difficulties. Wireless microphone receivers were not charged, so we kept getting disconnected. We had to change mics 3x when we were there. The employees were doing their best and were as accommodating as they could be, but ultimately the management is faulty. Transparency is important and this place does not have it. Also, I was not told tip was included. I usually tip 20% because times are tough and places don't pay their employees enough, but did not get an itemized receipt before this interaction. Albeit, I admit 11 ended up coming and I would've been totally fine with the $10 fee for additional people. After paying, we discovered they had charged a WHOPPING $120/hr (more than DOUBLE). When confronted, the front desk guy lied about showing me two rooms and that I requested the room for 15-18 people. That NEVER HAPPENED and I have 3 witnesses AND the security camera caught that. He even tried to threaten showing me the security footage like, please, prove me right actually. Also, my friend told me that the guy was insulting me the whole time when I wasn't talking to him on the phone, clearly because I was not there in person (he also just hung up on me during the discussion). Even during the refund process, when we were only trying to pay the real $55/hr rate, they STILL tried to haggle saying "fee this, fee that". There are so many things I could've gotten upset about, but literally all I cared about was the promised upon rate. Was I mad about the limited discography? No. Was I mad about the undisclosed gratuity? No. I merely wanted what we were rightfully owed. Simple as that. Then, to still try to negotiate out of paying us back PLUS being heavily insulted PLUS trying to threaten me?!? What is happening?!? Overall this was an exhausting experience during a time that was supposed to be one of celebration. This place operates DISHONESTLY and WITHOUT ANY RESPECT for customers.

Both of us landed on 1/5. Here's what we ordered: the Mega Bowl Ramen (Chashu & Shrimp) combo with Thai Tea and a Pork Bun, the Fried Squid Tentacle, and the Pork Belly Kamameshi. The ramen was salty and just didn't taste good, which was a real letdown given the crowd. The noodles came out firmer than what we're used to at places in Texas and Japan, and the chashu was the single best part of the whole bowl. The Thai Tea was a complete miss--it looked good but was overwhelmingly milky, like 85% milk, which isn't what Thai tea typically tastes like. The Pork Bun was drowning in sauce and overwhelming to eat. The Fried Squid Tentacle was the highlight of the meal, though it's comparable to what you'd find elsewhere. The Pork Belly Kamameshi was the worst item by far with a tiny amount of rice with a huge amount of sauce piled on top. We got through only about a fifth of the pan because it was too intense and far too little rice. To be fair, this spot gets a lot of love online for its broth and its novelty robot server (can be found in a lot of Japanese restaurants) so tastes clearly vary. But for the two of us, the meal was salty, oversauced, and unbalanced, and we wouldn't come back. 1/5.
