When he got it, it was so heavily seasoned with black pepper it was too spicy and over powered by that flavor to enjoy the sausage. I wish that would have been in the sausage description so we could have avoided it. My mom got the tomato and onion "salad". It was fine minced onions and tomatoes with a tiny bit of dressing on it. It was awful, it seemed like something that would be used as a topping on a sausage in small doses. I have no idea why that was labeled and sold as a salad. This place is the perfect spot to try some delicious sausages. They have a wide range of items to try. I liked it a lot that I came here twice within my stay in Bend. The reindeer, wild boar, and duck were some of the interesting ones that I really enjoyed. I also had the IPA, smoked hot andouille and banger sausages. Grabbed a late lunch here and it was delish! I had the chicken mango sausage plain with no bun and they put my toppings (cheddar cheese, caramelized onions and garlic aioli) on my salad - very tasty n fresh! Hubby had the black pepper and garlic sausage on a bun with onions, tomatoes and garlic aioli - not a crumb left! Our son who lives in Bend took us here for lunch. We are glad he did. They have a good selection of sausages, topping, and sauces. We ordered and sat down waiting for our lunch. They brought some bread and chimichurri to munch on while we waited for our order. My wife devoured the chimichurri. We upgraded our fries to include the Gorgonzola and bacon fries. They make a strong impression with the friendly hello, a huge variety of condiments and sauce combinations. Let's get right to it, the sausage tastes great and doesn't come across as made with a ton of fillers but rather true to the meat/spices used so a big plus. I had a curry ketchup along with my lamb sausage and really enjoyed the combination with a salad that had plenty of diced tomatoes. Others in my party had duck which was also tasty. Bangers was true to what I've had over the years and kids mac and cheese was plentiful. The older "dad figure" was super nice when he came with complementary bread and chimichurri, which was a tasty rendition. On a busy day, I can see how ordering before getting seated could bog things down if one takes time sorting out the condiment and sauce choices. However this seems to be a well oiled operation of cooks and servers. It's worth a stop here in Bend for sure for a quick bite before your outdoor activity. Wow! We stumbled across this place and it's amazing! The food was super tasty and the staff (owner?) were awesome! Super friendly, helpful and honestly made the experience. Servers were super friendly and they came complimentary bread with chimichurri sauce. We got the following: Banger sausage - this one is nice and juicy, you get to pick different toppings and sauces. I did caramelized onions, chili, and cheese. Yum! Wild boar sausage - this one is drier than the banger but the flavors are more intense. My husband got it with caramelized onions, spicy pepper, and spicy ranch. Sweet potato fries - these are to die for, best sweet potato fries I've ever had. The small was a decent portion size. The customer service was out of this world- it felt like home and it's clearly a family run business. We were greeted warmly, shared laughs, and guided through the menu. They are a dog friendly restaurant (in winter the outdoor space is covered and heated, in summer it's patio seating). They offered my pup a water dish and gave treats every time they passed by. After a day of skiing, the search was on for a meal driving back from Mt. Bachelor. Found this spot via Yelp and headed that way. It was a little difficult maneuvering to this restaurant, located at the end of a strip mall, because the parking lot and neighboring areas are all under construction. Nevertheless, we were able to get a parking spot right up front. Stepped inside and it was smaller than I anticipated. A few tables and some seats at bar/register. We grabbed the seats at the bar/register. An extensive selection of sausages, plus you select toppings and sauce. It was going to take us a bit to make our decision. Given the holiday rush, they were out of a few of their sausages. But I wasn't bothered because there were so many to choose from. While we were deciding, they gave us some free Chimichurri with bread. Yum. Grandma's recipe. We decided to start with the Bacon/Gorgonzola Fries. We could have stopped here. Skinny fries, bacon, gorgonzola cheese, onions & garlic aioli. We ate every last bite. So Good. They have managed to make this a memorable fry dish. As for my sausage, I had the Black Pepper/Garlic and opted to add the jalapenos, sauerkraut & spicy mustard. Excellent. In fact, we all ate every bite of our sausages and each of us got a unique sausage and toppings. They had a good selection of beers on tap. Although I ordered a beer, I mostly drank my water. Ever wonder why Bangers & Brews get amazing reviews. It's the little things they do for their customers. They make you feel so welcome, you almost don't want to leave. Doesn't hurt that they serve delicious food as well. Came here for lunch today. The husband forgot to mention he doesn't eat bread and wanted a salad instead to go with his chicken jalapeño sausage. He was content to just take the sausage and toppings off the bread but when Lili came to check on us and noticed the bread on the side, she took his tray back and came back with a beautifully presented salad with sliced sausages and toppings. Where else can you find service like that? It tasted as good as it looked btw(according to the husband). My chicken jalapeño sausage and mash was pretty good too. I'm not huge on hotdogs, but this place absolutely blew my mind. I was visiting, and I opted to come here a second day in a row. It was that good. The homemade chimichurri sauce is delectable.
