We tried it this evening, first time to visit. Place was pretty empty given the state of this pandemic. Plenty of take out happening while we were there. We had the chicken satay appetizer, as well as the crispy shrimp pot stickers. The chicken came with a peanut sauce for dipping, the potstickers came with a soy type sauce. They were delicious. We had a crispy catfish with lightly cooked vegetables in a red sauce. Another tasty dish. We had the fried bananas with honey for desert. We left there quite satisfied and very full. We've ordered to go from here many times over the past year and have eaten in the restaurant as well. Food has always been solid, but this last take out order was pretty scrawny. Our shrimp dish had only 4 small shrimp, the pad see hew was mostly vegetables with a few thin pieces of beef, as was the sweet & sour dish (just a few thin pieces of chicken). Never have we seen sizes this small. Ordered two steamed rice, but came home with only one carton. Even the satay chicken skewers were about 1/2 the size we've had in the past. An hour later, everyone was hungry again. We want to keep supporting all our local restaurants, but likely will not return. :( read more

My standard order is always Larb Gai, the street food so popular in Thailand. Larb is a minced salad. This was different than the standard larb, but not unpleasant. They are unbelievably unprofessional, and their lack of customer service left me speechless. I could rant on here for 5 days about how insane the experience was but never, ever, ever order delivery from them. I have shoes with softer leather than the beef I was served, and there was essentially no flavor at all... Pretty disappointed with my second visit here, huge drop off in the quality of the meal. One star seems harsh but, since we didn't get any service I can't give any more. At first it seemed as though the front of house staff were just overwhelmed with the take out business but they didn't do any better when it tailed off. The gentleman on the phone was very pleasant and made me feel better about being one of the dopey last minute customers that I try never to be. Shrimp pad thai, spring rolls, and shrimp friend rice were all on point, and the sauces they provided had a hearty kick, especially the one with jalapenos, but it was still in balance with the food and just the right amount to get my cheeks sweating, but still enjoy the meal. We had a great lunch. Get there early as every table was taken soon after we arrived. I had the Pad Thai (hold the bean sprouts). So yummy. My mom had the Pad Se-ew. I've had several dishes from here including curries, soups, noodle dishes, and their fresh summer rolls. Everything has always been AWESOME! Their summer rolls come with basil and mint in them which I LOVE and haven't found anywhere else. I've always been super thrilled with their quality and prices relative to other restaurants in Sonoma. Their peanut sauce is the BEST I've ever had and they have always been super nice every time I order and show up to get my order - always seem genuinely happy to see me and have my business. I keep trying this place and I have always been underwhelmed. First, very small portions for the price. For example, skip on over to Lemongrass in Petaluma and you get at least 30% more food for the same item with a lot better quality. Second, the summer rolls, which are a staple on any Thai menu, are a total rip-off. It's basically a romaine roll in an overly thick and doughy (how is that possible?) rice paper wrapper. A skinny baton of tofu might be buried in there, a noodle or two. Where is the carrot, perhaps a horizontally sliced shrimp, a bean sprout even? Just sub-par all the way around. I will say the peanut dipping sauce is delicious and the new location and decor lovely. I will give it one more try as it's basically the only game in town but I really miss Rin's. read more

Called in an order the weekend after Thanksgiving, they were honest over the phone about wait time which was 50 mins. Leave the house at 35-40mins drive over and still had to wait about 20mins. They were short staffed with a lot of to go orders and customers in the restaurant. read more

Pretty good Thai restaurant and the food here is very flavorful. If you can't handle spicy food like me, you can order it without spice. No MSG so you don't get a heavy migraine afterwards (I'm extremely sensitive to MSG so I would know right away if they have it or not). Try eating here & you will not regret it. read more

I've spent years in Thailand. I speak some Thai. I've eaten Thai food all over the world and I can honestly say that Bangkok 9 is as fine as it gets! The flavors are rich and complex, well balanced, which most cooks cannot get right! Thai or otherwise. I like to go with my mother who also LOVES it! Ken, who seems to wear multiple hats, is very pleasant. Ken speaks thai with me to help me stay fluent (semi at best). The staff and service is always top shelf. Or should I say DI MAK MAK! But the jewel in the crown for me is that often when I leave, having consumed copious amount of rice, curry, soup and of course a thai ice tea, is the euphoria. this euphoria is one that I only experience when eating the very best Thai or Indian food. We were told the wait would be 15 to 20 minutes, but we had to wait 40 minutes to be seated. No one came for a drink order and they waited until everyone had put our menu down before coming to the table. The service was a little slow overall. I found a large piece of eggshell in the fried rice and told the waitress when she brought our bill. She apologized and took the bill back, I'm assuming to talk to a manager about it, but when she brought the bill the second time nothing had been taken off... The food was decent, and the servers were pleasant. I'm going to be getting Thai food elsewhere from now on though, where it's slightly cheaper and there's attentive service. read more
