We were staying in the Sonoma inn and wanted to get some Asian food. This place is cute. The owner here is so nice. She knows how to do business. For the food, everything is averagely good. I wouldn't say anything is particularly good or bad. But it's definitely on the expansive side in comparison to a lot of Thai food in SF.

Dining area

Food was very good! Really enjoyed my pad Thai with prawn. The prawn were juicy. Also the Thai spice level was perfect. Hot enough but not super spicy. Great flavor overall. Only downside is there aren't a ton of workers so the wait time was a bit and there were a lot of people standing around waiting for there to go orders. Would eat again and if you like Thai you should give it a try!

The venue is beautiful and clean. Staff friendly and attentive, however, the food is average and it took very long to be ready even though the restaurant had only a couple of other tables besides hours. I loved the fresh avocado rolls that came with my spicy noodles special but the noodles did not feel very special just regular. I would've given 3.5 stars but it doesn't allow me to - this is strictly my personal opinion of someone who eats a lot of Thai food and is very picky.

For lunch my daughter had set her mind to eat Thai food. We didn't have much options within the area with great reviews. Glad Yelp had 4 star for this restaurant. We ordered Thai prawn fried rice and prawn chow Mein. Both the dishes were good and came with the side of salad. I loved their salad with peanut sauce. The food was delicious and service was great. Staffs were wearing mask and the restaurant was clean. Overall great experience.

Best pad Thai in Sonoma county. The chicken satay was especially good - tender and juicy, not dry like most places. Highly recommended!

Probably the best Thai in town based on flavor. Portions are tiny for the price but if you need a fix in Sonoma. This is the better Thai.

I always had a fantastic experience there, with fresh fish, delicious rolls, fantastic personable, family - feeling service. When they opened the Sonoma restaurant, I had moved out of town into Petaluma. The Cotati restaurant is still there and thriving, but the Sonoma location offers a little more room to go along with the same delicious food and service. On this particular day, we ordered miso soup, tempura vegetables, three kinds of nigiri -- salmon, albacore and hamachi, and two rolls: Cotati Roll which featured shrimp, crab meat, spicy tuna and then also a spider roll, which is softshell crab based. The food arrived quickly and was extremely fresh and delicious. I would say the fish is 8.5/10 -- it wasn't perfect for me like Sake 107 in Petaluma, but it was quite excellent still. Presentation was perfect, there was a nice amount of wasabi and ginger present. The tempura vegetables were done just right. Delicious, not deeply heavily fried, but still crispy and yummy. There is wine, beer and sake by the glass or bottle. I had a glass of rosé, which was lovely and dry, appropriate for this food. The restaurant dining area is inviting, clean, well decorated - - see the photos. You feel welcome. I wasn't a fan of the music that was playing if I'm being honest, so a note to the management - rap music doesn't really suit the dining experience. But I was generally able to overlook that and it didn't take away from my five star rating. The bill was more than fair for all the food that we had. It's not the least expensive sushi I've ever had, but for the quality it is definitely a good value. If you are craving sushi in Cotati or Sonoma, give Shige a shot. You won't be disappointed.

When I asked our guide for a recommendation, he suggested making a reservation here. My mom and I, as well as another party of two from our tour, booked as such, while the rest went elsewhere. It was the day before my birthday, so I didn't notate a special occasion in my reservation. I guess OpenTable told them though?? I remain perplexed, but they were soooooo kind and stopped over to ask whose birthday it was. TBH, every last person who worked there was ridiculously friendly and made us feel like we were part of their family. The patio dining area was stellar too. They're known for their homemade gnocchi, so my mom and I both purchased variations. She had it with pomodoro, while I tried it with the white sauce. They were unlike gnocchis I've tried at other spots, and I mean that in a good way. I'm still so bummed I couldn't bring my leftovers with me, because every bite was truly delightful. I'd also be remiss to omit their homemade bread, which was wonderfully flaky and fresh. We didn't order dessert, but they did bring out a berry-themed birthday cake. It was like they knew that was my usual birthday order each year! It surpassed the meal/dessert I had on my actual birthday, and even the presentation was exceptional. I wish I lived closer to California so that I could easily return! Thank you for a top-tier birthday-eve memory!!

Momma always told me to start with a compliment…read more There are some excellent dishes on the menu: Gnocchi Della Nonna: pick your sauce but the answer is the light cream. Grandma would be proud. Penne Contadina: generous with sausage and an interesting red sauce. Pear? Delizia: Rum-infused sponge cake served with cream. Yes, please Other dishes are fine but not quite there Pesto linguini: wish it had more kick, maybe a little more garlic and some pine nuts. Enjoyed but not crave worthy. Prosciutto & melon: a special. Eh. Nothing stood out. Figs might have been the best item. The food gets a passing grade but the ambience and service drags it down. Perfunctory might be the word. Several Yelpers have commented the attitude comes from the top and that seemed to check out.
