Thought I would give this place a try. Ordered #1 PAD PRIK, for take out. Worse food I have ever eaten. I still can't get the mold mildew taste out of my mouth. Ended up throwing it away. Place filled with smoke, no ventilation or its broke. Lady that took order was very rude, asked me 5 times in less than 2 minutes if I was ready to order, never been there so I was reading the menu. After the seventh time of her asking I just picked #1. Food arrived quick, but when I asked for soy sauce she told me I didn't need salt in there, because there was enough. I didn't ask for salt. I am totally unhappy with the restaurant. The owner is forcing every one to tip more. I paid my bill through credit cad and I authorized the bill for $11 and she added extra dollar to tip. I would go to Taste of Thai in Eastlansing again before this place. If your not going to order straight off the menu don't order. Asked for "Mild" couldn't even eat it, and i love my super spicy foods. Went back and asked for the PadThai not to be spicy, I got a Bowl of raw noodles with no flavor or sauce, noticed this when i got home. I could of cooked up raw noodles with no flavor or sauce at home for less than 10$ Basically ask for what ever they offer but don't expect any kind of "do it your way" from them even when they ask you what type of heat or spicy you want. I've been eating at this place every chance I get since John Engler was still in the Senate. It's the best Thia in the State. The food has flavor, spice and is not overdone with sugar and sweetness like so many other Thia places. Its family owned. The people are always nice. Hands down THE WORST Thai food (or any food for that matter) I've ever eaten in my entire life. Not only was my dish terrible, it was spoiled. I ordered a coconut curry with tofu and it was comprised of frozen vegetables, tofu that was obviously old and sour, and a sauce that tasted nothing like curry - it tasted like what I imagine hot garbage tastes like, because it smelled like hot garbage the minute the server placed it on the table. My friend had the same thing and powered through a few bites and got sick later from it. I only made it through one bite and that was enough. I'll never go back and wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless I wanted to punish them for something. read more

Ordered the Pad Khing with chicken, mild. It is sauteed meat with black mushrooms, ginger, onion, carrot, and scallion. I purposely ordered it for the flavor of the ginger and scallion. Barely detectable. I am so bored with this dish and could do better throwing something together at home. It also doesn't smell very good. They make ordering with coworkers for takeout because there are no prices on the menu and they didn't give a receipt. The only plus side of my experience is that the chicken is recognizable chicken breast unlike other places. read more

This is my favorite Thai restaurant. I was first introduced took Pad Thai at BH, which g had a more savory version than most other Thai restaurants. Today I ordered chicken Pad Thai and Gang Ped to go, mild plus heat. Mild plus is their own recommendation for those want their heat spice between mild and spicy. The Pad Thai was extremely greasy and mild in seasoning. I've ordered this dish for years and it's never been greasy. It was almost unappetizing. If I had ordered it in the restaurant I would have sent it back. The Gang Ped was spicy in seasoning and lacked the sauce that usually accompanies it. The flavors were still spot on and I'm hoping it was just an off day for the cook. read more

A great little place in downtown Lansing. I love their Pad Prik - great sauce and vegetables and tofu are always perfectly done. Prices are reasonable, and the customer service just depends on who you have, how well they speak English and how much of a hurry they're in. They have a small staff, and it can be pretty crazy in there during the lunch hour rush. read more

I took my girlfriend here for a date and we ended up leaving before the entree even came out. The spoon that was in one of the sauces for the fried tofu (that had the texture of a fried kitchen sponge) had a huge piece of crust on it like whatever it was in before had dried out then they put directly into our sauce. There were stains all over both of our cloth napkins, and some brown crust on the mugs for our tea, and the tea itself had a weird greasy film floating on top that did not mix in. By the rest of the reviews the food must be very well made but I will not go back and strongly recommend against dining in because you won't make it to the main course. read more

Best thai food I know of. It is probably one of the best little places to eat in Michigan. I had not been there for about a year and when I returned while visiting Lansing the server remembered my old favorite order! I'll start by saying I'll give them another chance since maybe they were having an off night, but the food was just kind of... meh. Spring rolls were crispy and very hot, but nothing to write home about, and the sauce kind of fell flat; complimentary soup was a nice touch though. The pad ped wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either; no flavor really stood out, and while it was supposed to have Thai basil in it I couldn't detect any. I ended up adding chiles and Thai basil leaves to the left overs and reseasoning pretty heavily. Additionally, while I understand this is a family joint, they need more than one server since drink orders weren't being served and plates weren't being cleared. read more

I am not an expert in Thai food but I love this place! My favorite is Gang Musmun, medium heat. I crave it when I have to go without it for too long. I generally order my entree with tofu instead of a different protein--the way they prepare it is delicious. read more

This was my first experience and two thumbs up! The woman who sat us was polite and didn't mess around when it came to ordering. Our drinks and food came out quickly, the spiciness levels were accurate, and the portions were more than I could eat. Their coconut soup is excellent and enough for 3-4 people. The #3 entree was a good balance of veggies and chicken option. Their Pad Kee Mao was one of the best I've experienced! Their Thai iced tea was great as well - not overly sweetened. Overall I would rate my dinner there 4/5. The prices are fair, the food tasted great, and I had enough leftovers for a full lunch the next day. I will go there again soon! read more

I've been all over the place and never can any American-Thai place compete w/ Bangkok House. This is certainly a Lansing staple. My wife and I ate there last night July, 13,2016; the reviews criticizing the place, food, service, etc could not be more wrong: It was large, modern, attractive and absolutely immaculate. The service was very quick and very friendly and helpful.. As for the food--we have toured Thailand, and you won't get any closer than this. We will be back and more than once. read more
