They are trying to make money, they are not trying to make good food... It's a crappy little place. The kind of place I might like if everything else added up... They could at least try to make the food taste good... The word would get around... I ordered pork fried rice today because I miss the pork fried rice that I used to get up in Philadelphia and New Jersey. that was dark brown in color and served abundantly... When I got home, I lifted a lid and I saw that it was brown and I was happy thinking I was in for a treat... In a lot of Asian cooking, they use soy sauce, dark soy sauce for color, grated ginger, grated garlic, sesame oil, maybe some oyster sauce... This was only the dark soy sauce for color and the whole dish had no flavor... There was no eggs in it. It was just dark brown rice that was much too al dente, small diced pork, along with a few peas and carrots... I put it right in the freezer, hoping to get to it soon and doctor it up with all those ingredients to make it taste good... Huge disappointment... $25.00 lunch out the window... I also ordered beef with black bean sauce and not only did it not have ANY flavor from fermented black bean, but I could not even see specs of it... It was just the generic translucent brown sauce thickened with cornstarch, onions, broccoli, and beef that was not treated or marinated in any way... Certainly not velveted... So the beef was dry and tough and flavorless... I could be a good customer, but they'll never see me again... read more

I've Been going here for a few years since before Covid and while most other Asian Restaurants have raised their prices way too High after Covid and don't even keep the same Quality on how they prepare their Food this place has maintained their great Service and Quality. The food is great and I would give this place five stars, but each time I have ordered, they have not properly lined the styrofoam to go container (I've ordered via DoorDash) and the food burns into the styrofoam. Definitely not healthy! I will never order here again. Good consistent Chinese food. My go to Chinese take out place and I have only ordered through Uber eats, even though they do have a few tables inside. I order almost once a week. First Chinese place that also serves sushi. I would skip the sushi and stick with the Chinese food. I like: orange chicken, chicken and broccoli, General Tso's chicken, chicken teriyaki on a stick, steamed dumplings, sesame chicken has more of a red sauce and not a brown sweet sauce I'm used to. Egg roll is okay, hot and sour soup is okay. Fried rice is okay and doesn't come with any vegetables. They do have a sweet and sour chicken, beef, and shrimp dish which is a lot of food and good. Their almond chicken is not the fried breaded Chicken and gravy we are all used to, and is not good. I would pass on the bourbon chicken, fried dumplings, bagel roll, donuts and some of their "spicy dishes" are really spicy to me. I have not tried just beef or just shrimp dishes. Go with the dinner combinations as you do get a lot of food! Give them a try! You can't go wrong with most items you are use to ordering. read more

The Bamboo House Special Roll was very good but I ordered delivery consisting of a seaweed salad, a sushi roll (the house special) and an entree. When delivered, there was a mistake and instead of the roll, an a la carte entree was sent. I called the restaurant to have them correct the order, which took quite a while. When they brought the sushi- the house special which was quite tasty, they wanted the original entree back, after having been in my room for well over an hour. The entree was uneaten but obviously opened and inspected to see if their mistake could be overlooked before deciding to call back and have the order corrected.
