BEST TERRIAKI, Salad, edamame FREE AT THE TABLE When you sit down, Service excellent ‼ Sweetest waitress Aaliyah, thanks again.

for a dinner special for 21 dollars vegetarian style it was definitely not what I was expecting I will not be returning. you would expect a full plate for 21 dollars and a dinner at that. It was literally a plate that my 4 year old could eat and finish by himself. And tbh Kobe has this same hibachi style plate for the same price with enough food for damn near two days.... Highly not recommended at all!! Just horrible presentation. The sushi might be a different presentation but their dinner specials are a big NO! And most definitely should not have 4.5 stars there is no way in hell!!

I took one bite and immediately came to the reviews to let you guys know how delicious this sushi is! my partner had the teriyaki beef and he enjoyed his plate as well!

    The receipt!

They have racist staff, and their piss poor service overshadowed their creative selection of sushi. I sat in their restaurant for 2 hours because the waitress had an issue serving people of color, we waited 38 minutes for the appetizer, and an hour and a 1/2 for the fried rice and Sushi! Because the waitress waited to put in our order! There was only like two or three tables they were serving! My daughter told me she kept seeing the waitress look at us and kept walking by our table with a scowl! What an old miserable lady; you just lost your employer business! The sad part is I frequently Ordered sushi from this restaurant to go, and Online through delivery apps, but never took more than 10 or 15 minutes to pick up some sushi, never again, I will take my money elsewhere! There are similar reviews about the same sorry waitress, I'm just gonna call it like I see it! Don't waste your time save your money and And go somewhere else if you wish to have a good dining experience!

Very small but very cute. I got edamame as an appetizer and they seemed very dry.but the miso was nice and warm. The red dragon roll was by far my favorite I love tuna and it was super crunchy with a little spice! Oddly though the tamago was warm which I have not encountered before. For dessert I had mango mochi and it was very good minus the whip cream and chocolate my server was very helpful with recommendations as well at refilling waters and anything else we needed. I'm giving it 4 stars because for the most part they did nothing wrong but, I would not come back here again. I think if it's close to you and you don't have a favorite place, go. If you will drive to ybor or Seminole or South Tampa go there instead.

This place was great from start to finish. Service was awesome, we had everything we needed and it wasn't overbearing. Food was fresh and delicious, there wasn't a single thing we didn't like! We may have over ordered, so we are looking forward to left overs for lunch tomorrow! We will definitely be back!

We walked in around 6 so it was pretty quiet. We were immediately greeted by the sushi chefs! and seated ourselves. There was only one waitress so we were glad to have beat the dinner rush. She was very quick and friendly. We were greeted with somewhat warm towelettes, only bad part was that they smelt dingy. I did go to the restroom and actually wash my hands regardless. Along with the towelettes they gave a side platter of edamame. I was super excited about this part because I'd been craving them for about a month now. Much to my surprise they were already cooked and preheated;nonetheless I was starving and wanted them always. We ordered sake, chicken katsu (deep fried breaded chicken)- which came with rice, salad and miso soup. We also ordered the Tomo roll, mainly because it said 'scallops' and i'm a huge scallop fan. The soup was piping hot and the salad was what you expect from a Japanese restaurant. The chicken katsu came out and it looked very crispy. More like it was crispy a while ago and then re-deep fried to be crispier. It was too dry for me but the hubs ate it anyway. The reason I'm a fan is because of this roll the 'Tomo roll' It has crab, avocado, asparagus tops and then there is a mixture of scallop and mushrooms baked on top of the roll. It was so good I ordered two! I'm pretty sure they put more mushrooms in the second roll but it was still good. Will definitely go back for more sushi rolls.

Just ok. Nothing was noteworthy. They pre fry their shrimp for sushi rolls and it's obvious. Won't be going back.

If you're looking for the American hibachi experience, Kobe Japanese Steakhouse is the way to go. I…read morewill jump around a bit with this review as I am returning to writing, but hope that it makes sense as you read it. The restaurant is located conveniently within the Grand Plaza of the Carrollwood area in northern Tampa. The parking spaces in the front does get crowded and full rather quick, however there are plenty of spaces in the back that isn't too far of a walk. The entrance/main door is actually off to the side under the hard structure roofing - you walk through a small section of the outdoor seating patio to get to it. It must be noted that this review and experience is based on the following factors: - The review is written strictly for the American hibachi experience. The restaurant does offer other a la carte options if you don't want the "showmanship" and flair with your dining experience. - A reservation was made through Open Table. I highly recommend making a reservation beforehand. This was purposeful and intentional due to the occasion, and I wanted to make sure we were locked in. I feel that this also made for a smoother seating process as the restaurant had to prepare the table and chef. All in all from arrival to getting seated, we waited no more than 10 minutes after our entire party was present. - There were 12 individuals in our party which also accounted for the prompt seating (I believe you are paired and tetris'd with other guests for smaller parties). 12 is the max that a table can host - anything more will require multiple tables. I want to emphasize at this point how Kobe Japanese Steakhouse is suited for large parties. Most, if not all, the individuals in our party have not had American hibachi for as long as we can remember. We also had children in our party. Taking this all into account, it turned out to be the perfect venue for any type celebratory events (business outings, birthdays, baby showers, etc.) I could not recommend this place enough if you want an "easy winner" to delight the group. Now let's talk about the food and the chef. The quality and taste definitely exceeded our expectations. The food was cooked perfectly and the meats were extremely tender and flavorful. While not the most animated of the chefs there, our particular chef was very attentive to our needs. He ensured that our meal was enjoyable and delicious. Pricing-wise, you're looking at an average cost of $30 to $40 per individual. Overall service was not bad - the most important part was that everyone was welcoming and friendly. Overall, I would highly recommend Kobe Japanese Steakhouse if you are the one planning for a large group!

I cannot tolerate spice, and a lot of Japanese places that I have previously gone to put so much heat on it that I find it unpleasant. Although the seasoning was good, the portions weren't. The first one that I grabbed was just a bone surrounded by fat. There was not a piece of it that I could chew and swallow. Then the server kept coming by the area every ten seconds to check on everything but when I asked for yum yum sauce, he never came with it. I honestly think he dropped it off to the wrong table. And the Mexican roll that I ordered didn't taste fresh. Both rolls I ordered seemed so bland. Other places I have been to have tasted more flavorful. Don't think I would return.

When I first arrived the parking lot was packed, & I was worried there may be a bit of a wait, especially since this was a spur of the moment stop so I didn't have a reservation. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to get a seat immediately upon entering. My server was very friendly & went over the menu a bit with me since it was my first time here, & I decided on doing the AYCE dinner that way I could try a bit of everything. I got some hot green tea as well as a bottle of Peach Soju. I got a whole pot for the tea, & the soju was served in a small ice bucket, which I thought was cool because I love to keep mine chilled! I started off with a couple appetizers & some sashimi, the presentation was amazing & the freshness of the seafood delicious! My favorite was definitely the Blue Fin tuna, & apparently I wasn't the only fan because they had run out of almost all of it which was a little sad but just means I'll have to come again to try some more lol. The sushi rolls were fantastic & rolled perfectly, my eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach because I wanted to order 1 of every roll but after my fourth roll I could feel myself getting full & sadly had to stop there. I did order some fried oreos for dessert which just hit different when they are done in tempura batter, I love it! The only thing food wise that I could critique is definitely the miso soup, while it looks really good, it was bland & just tasted like warm water & tofu. The restaurant itself is styled really well, I remember when this location used to be a Red Lobster but looking at it now there's no way you could tell. Even though the booths are pretty close together they were surprisingly quite, I could barely hear anyone that was around me, it felt like I was in a coffee shop instead of an actual restaurant.
