Easy to miss this modestly sized restaurant which comfortably seats 18. Came here for the first time on a summer Tuesday evening, not one where restaurants are typically busy. This place was almost full. And we found out why. Service was attentive and the food was very good. We started with the chicken and shrimp dumplings. They were tasty and were correctly titled as there seemed to be more chicken than shrimp. For entrees we ordered the Chicken Volcano and Shrimp with Cashew Nut Stir Fry. The Chicken Volcano was plentiful with broccoli, pineapple and assorted veggies. The chicken was fried and while tasty was a bit too greasy for me. The Shrimp Cashew Nut Stir Fry was nicely seasoned and the veggies were cooked just right- not mushy. Pricing moderate. Overall, Two thumbs up!

Ordered delivery from here tonight since I was craving Thai food, and it did not disappoint! My food arrived quickly, hot, and neatly packaged, and the drink was ice cold. They had the clever idea to put my lychee Thai iced tea in a paper rice container, so it wouldn't spill, for which I was grateful. The lychee Thai iced tea had the traditional Thai iced tea flavor we all know and love, plus some additional sweetness and fruitiness from the lychee. It also comes with two pieces of lychee in the drink, which made me very happy. As for the food, it was delicious! Tofu pad see ew is my go-to every time I go to a Thai restaurant or order delivery. It had the perfect blend of sweet and savory, and was also garlicky, which is a flavor I absolutely love. I was also genuinely surprised by how quickly my food arrived, and it did the job of satisfying my cravings perfectly. Whenever I get around to it, I'll definitely be visiting the in-person location!

Cute little restaurant on the UES. Definitely tucked away in the 90s. Was trying to get away from my usuals and this spot did not disappoint. Pretty small but definitely mighty. The host/waitress was so sweet. They have weekend happy hour with wines, sangria and sparkling drinks for $8 alongside selective appetizers. Ordered shrimp basil fried rice and it was great. There were some noodles tucked away in the meal but who am I to complain. lol will definitely return

We've been regulars here since the restaurant first opened, and it's always been a favorite. The food quality is consistently high, the prices are reasonable compared to other nearby Thai restaurants, and the flavors are far superior. Portions are also generous for the price. We've never had a disappointing meal, and the staff is incredibly sweet and polite. Some of our favorite dishes include: Tom Yum Soup Tom Kha Soup Curry Puffs Chive Rice Cakes Coconut Shrimp Pineapple Duck Curry Cream Shrimp Tom Yum Noodles (with glass noodles!) Chicken Volcano Pad Thai Basil Fried Rice Pineapple Fried Rice All the curries, salads, and soups! Honestly, there's no bad dish on the menu--everything is perfectly flavored. The restaurant itself is charming, with a pink, Instagram-worthy decor that might appeal more to younger crowds. Since it's near my child's middle school, we often grab takeout, stop by for a quick bowl of soup on a chilly day, or simply enjoy dining in. It has a cozy, homey feel and adds a fantastic dining option to this area.

We went back to Bangrak and introduced this restaurant to our friends and they loved it! Our friends ordered the mango salad, chicken satay and soup and we ordered the curries. All of the dishes had wonderful flavor. Overall Bangrak never disappoints!

We had the best time in this beautiful gem. Great thai tea. The lychee iced tea refreshing and perfect. The mimosa was perfect too. The sangria was light and lovely. The chicken and shrimp dumplings was devine. Handmade and stuffed. The crab rangoon was fresh and flavorful. The chive rice cake was scrumptious and not oily. The fried tofu perfect. Good portions. Pad Rama tofu was great. Lovely peanut sauce and crispy tofu. The masam curry perfect. Phukeyt crab curry was a 10. Deep flavor, perfect spice. Bright flavor, nice lps of crab. The fresh veggies and pickled veggies and egg made this outrageous. Pad see ewe nice. The black stick mango rice was fresh. The staff was amazing, kind, helpful.

Tried out this teeny Thai restaurant on the recommendation of a friend. It can accommodate 20 people, tops. The staff were lovely. They have not one but two lunch specials- one with two courses and one with three. My wife had the salad, which was one of her favorites. I had the excellent chicken and shrimp dumplings. For mains, my wife gave 2 thumbs up to the chicken with cashew nuts. I loved the creamy shrimp Tom Yum soup. The portions were generous. I scarfed down a potent Thai iced coffee. Prices are amazingly reasonable. This place has vaulted to the top of our Thai restaurant hierarchy. Highly recommended!

Walking by after work and it looked like a cute spot so I stopped. I tried the crispy tofu salad and it was yummy and healthy. For dessert, I tried the mango sticky rice per the lady's suggestion. On point too! My neighbors got the pad see ew with beef that looked good. They have lunch specials I may try soon. Friendly service. Worth the visit!

Nice cozy neighborhood restaurant in Yorkville. Friendly service delicious food. My dining partner and I had the Massaman Roti, Crispy Tofu salad,Khao Soy Gai and Seafood Creamy Tom Yum. The portions were generous, Everything was fresh and well seasoned with nice balance of sweet, salt spice and creamy where appropriate. Bottom line I wouldn't hesitate to return.

We regularly order from Bangrak but today we decided to come in person. The food was spectacular, as usual. It's also nice that they added a 3-course lunch special for the weekends ($22). I had the chicken tom yum, the dumplings, and the shrimp noodles. Everything was fantastic. The service is prompt, friendly and efficient. The space is small but attractive and colorful.

The place is very small, but they do have seats inside. It really seems that many of the local people that came in got their food to go. The shrimp drunken noodles was really delicious, and the curry appetizer with potatoes and roti, was the best! The service was decent and they had decorations, cute ambience. They were able to seat a large table. I ended up ordering food to go as well. I definitely would recommend this place for solid Thai food.

I went to Bangrak Thai for the first time yesterday for lunch and I'll definitely be back! It's a small restaurant and there were a few people dining but they could accommodate us right away. They have a lunch special (I believe it's seven days a week) and the staff were very hospitable. The lunch special is advertised as $14 for several dishes. For $14 you get an entree and an appetizer such as spring rolls, chicken and shrimp dumplings or tofu soup. I ordered the Pad See Ew with chicken (maybe the chicken is $1 extra, as it was $15 on the receipt) and I also ordered a Thai iced tea ($5) which was very good! Sometimes I find Thai iced tea to be cloyingly sweet, but not this one! I was very glad! I'm happy to have found this Thai restaurant.

We were greeted by very friendly staff members who, despite our early arrival, worked hard to get us seated as quickly as possible. The space's vibe is exactly what we needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Times Square area -- dimly lit, but everything was still visible, not too much noise while extremely busy, and very cozy atmosphere made super pleasant from such attentive, kind staff members. I was especially impressed by our server, Leena, who checked in with us regularly, gave excellent recommendations, and was clearly concerned about giving us an amazing experience. My wife and I ordered one of the seasonal offerings--a sweet and savory fruit salad--that was the perfect start to our meal. I ordered the massaman, and it was easily the best massaman curry I've ever had in the United States. Perfect spice level, the chicken fell right off the bone (even my wife, a vegetarian, commented on how clean the bones looked after I removed the meat), and the mixture of textures and flavors with the lotus seeds and onions really created the perfect dish. I am craving it just sitting here and writing this review! Prices? Honestly, I couldn't imagine a fairer deal given the quality of the food and service we received. I was utterly blown away. I cannot recommend Mitr Thai enough! I can't wait to return next time I'm in the city!

I first ordered the crispy spring rolls, which were very good. For my main I had the Massaman Curry. Now folks, this is my favorite curry of all time -- actually one of my favorite foods of all time -- and while it's common in LA where I used to live, it's not as common where I live now, in the Bay Area. And the restaurants that do carry it usually do not make it right and it's not very good. I am used to Massaman in the traditional preparation where it's more like a beef stew made with chunks of beef and needs to cook overnight. When done right it is the most aromatic curry ever -- it's almost like an aphrodisiac! -- and the beef comes out oh so tender. Usually if places have this curry but then offer a choice of protein, then it generally is not cooked properly, and that is actually how they prepare it at SaiTong. But because of such great reviews I decided to take a chance and try it. Well, let me tell you, it was definitely not the norm...it was absolutely delicious! I had it with chicken (they serve breast as default), and the chicken soaked up the curry really nicely. I also asked for there to be no onions, which I think alters the flavor of a curry too much. It does include the traditional potatoes and peanuts, and the potatoes were fine and cut into nice little chunks, the peanuts actually were thrown in raw.. what I think is the more traditional way which is to actually burn the peanuts a little bit, but that's okay, it didn't take down the dish any. Their brown rice is of the very dark kind, which I like, and goes so well with the curry. Service was wonderful from the bartender but was also provided by the rest of the staff and everyone was so nice. I left there feeling so satisfied, and cannot wait to go back and try some other dishes.

Rather than creating an online account, I called the restaurant directly and placed my order. They estimated delivery would take about 25 minutes. Less than 20 minutes later, the food was waiting for me in the hotel lobby. I ordered: * Cashew Nuts with Shrimp -- Bell peppers, onions, scallions, cashews, and dried chilies. * Dumplings -- Mixed shrimp and pork served with a soy vinaigrette dipping sauce. The Cashew Nuts with Shrimp had a flavorful, light sauce with just the right amount of heat. I really enjoyed it. My only disappointment was that the shrimp were battered and fried; I would have preferred grilled or pan-seared shrimp. The dumplings were more like shoo-mai than traditional dumplings. They were a bit dense but still flavorful and satisfying. Considering the quick delivery, the food arrived piping hot, and the excellent Cashew Nuts dish, this was an easy four-star meal.
