It's a locals spot for Thai food that is pretty reliable and consistent. Small place and clean with a nice decor, cozy feel. Some nights the place is crowded and on others it's empty but they do a brisk amount of take out / delivery. Which is what I did a few nights ago an order of Pad Thai with chicken and some spring rolls. The Pad Thai was very tasty with a generous helping of chicken, and the portion was large enough to split between two people. Spring rolls we hot and tasty. We pretty much only get take out from here as its close by, and the food is prepared quickly with pleasant service. Lunch specials and happy hour cocktails too.

They have great lunch specials everyday as well as HH items until 8pm. I got the pad thai pork lunch specials. The pork was tender but the noodles were a little too mushy and sweet for me. Just a tad bit. I got the shrimp/chicken dumplings which were good and juicy, and all the lunch specials come with a house cabbage clear soup that I enjoyed as well.

Place is cute found street parking right outside ! Has about 10 tables friendly staff ! Appetizer came out quick.. limited drink menu given the space but the food was delicious! We had the spiced wings as an appetizer, crabmeat fried rice which had more egg than crabmeat imo but was super delish. The grilled steak fried rice was another hit!

What a gem, this restaurant turned out to be . I was originally heading the the place next door but the tables were all occupied there and stools seating available. My back was killing me from walking around with some heavy bags and sitting on a stool was not would be the worst option at that time. I saw that Bangrak had some open tables and the lunch special looked fair. I went in and was so warmly welcomed in the cozy atmosphere . The shop is very cute. For those who love to take restaurant selfies it's perfect. The lucnh special had options to customize ,I like that. The portions were very filling, and the food was excellent. Thai flavors shone through and I honestly stayed much longer than I anticipated. Enjoying the mellow relaxed space. It was after regular lunch rush hours and before dinner so it was not crowded, I can see a place like this with this good food being packed for dinner. Tables are close together and the shop is small . Service was quick and everything was hot and fresh. I got Spring Rolls, (special comes with a soup as well) and the Thai Basil Fried Rice - spicy and fragrant just like i like it -I added chicken. I was too full for dessert ( I had left overs to take home) so I had a ginger tea . The girls serving were very attentive and friendly, I really liked their hospitality. Although my perfect dining experience is solo I think I would enjoy dining here with a friend. It hits all the marks .

Easy to miss this modestly sized restaurant which comfortably seats 18. Came here for the first time on a summer Tuesday evening, not one where restaurants are typically busy. This place was almost full. And we found out why. Service was attentive and the food was very good. We started with the chicken and shrimp dumplings. They were tasty and were correctly titled as there seemed to be more chicken than shrimp. For entrees we ordered the Chicken Volcano and Shrimp with Cashew Nut Stir Fry. The Chicken Volcano was plentiful with broccoli, pineapple and assorted veggies. The chicken was fried and while tasty was a bit too greasy for me. The Shrimp Cashew Nut Stir Fry was nicely seasoned and the veggies were cooked just right- not mushy. Pricing moderate. Overall, Two thumbs up!

Ordered delivery from here tonight since I was craving Thai food, and it did not disappoint! My food arrived quickly, hot, and neatly packaged, and the drink was ice cold. They had the clever idea to put my lychee Thai iced tea in a paper rice container, so it wouldn't spill, for which I was grateful. The lychee Thai iced tea had the traditional Thai iced tea flavor we all know and love, plus some additional sweetness and fruitiness from the lychee. It also comes with two pieces of lychee in the drink, which made me very happy. As for the food, it was delicious! Tofu pad see ew is my go-to every time I go to a Thai restaurant or order delivery. It had the perfect blend of sweet and savory, and was also garlicky, which is a flavor I absolutely love. I was also genuinely surprised by how quickly my food arrived, and it did the job of satisfying my cravings perfectly. Whenever I get around to it, I'll definitely be visiting the in-person location!

Cute little restaurant on the UES. Definitely tucked away in the 90s. Was trying to get away from my usuals and this spot did not disappoint. Pretty small but definitely mighty. The host/waitress was so sweet. They have weekend happy hour with wines, sangria and sparkling drinks for $8 alongside selective appetizers. Ordered shrimp basil fried rice and it was great. There were some noodles tucked away in the meal but who am I to complain. lol will definitely return

We've been regulars here since the restaurant first opened, and it's always been a favorite. The food quality is consistently high, the prices are reasonable compared to other nearby Thai restaurants, and the flavors are far superior. Portions are also generous for the price. We've never had a disappointing meal, and the staff is incredibly sweet and polite. Some of our favorite dishes include: Tom Yum Soup Tom Kha Soup Curry Puffs Chive Rice Cakes Coconut Shrimp Pineapple Duck Curry Cream Shrimp Tom Yum Noodles (with glass noodles!) Chicken Volcano Pad Thai Basil Fried Rice Pineapple Fried Rice All the curries, salads, and soups! Honestly, there's no bad dish on the menu--everything is perfectly flavored. The restaurant itself is charming, with a pink, Instagram-worthy decor that might appeal more to younger crowds. Since it's near my child's middle school, we often grab takeout, stop by for a quick bowl of soup on a chilly day, or simply enjoy dining in. It has a cozy, homey feel and adds a fantastic dining option to this area.

We went back to Bangrak and introduced this restaurant to our friends and they loved it! Our friends ordered the mango salad, chicken satay and soup and we ordered the curries. All of the dishes had wonderful flavor. Overall Bangrak never disappoints!

We had the best time in this beautiful gem. Great thai tea. The lychee iced tea refreshing and perfect. The mimosa was perfect too. The sangria was light and lovely. The chicken and shrimp dumplings was devine. Handmade and stuffed. The crab rangoon was fresh and flavorful. The chive rice cake was scrumptious and not oily. The fried tofu perfect. Good portions. Pad Rama tofu was great. Lovely peanut sauce and crispy tofu. The masam curry perfect. Phukeyt crab curry was a 10. Deep flavor, perfect spice. Bright flavor, nice lps of crab. The fresh veggies and pickled veggies and egg made this outrageous. Pad see ewe nice. The black stick mango rice was fresh. The staff was amazing, kind, helpful.

Tried out this teeny Thai restaurant on the recommendation of a friend. It can accommodate 20 people, tops. The staff were lovely. They have not one but two lunch specials- one with two courses and one with three. My wife had the salad, which was one of her favorites. I had the excellent chicken and shrimp dumplings. For mains, my wife gave 2 thumbs up to the chicken with cashew nuts. I loved the creamy shrimp Tom Yum soup. The portions were generous. I scarfed down a potent Thai iced coffee. Prices are amazingly reasonable. This place has vaulted to the top of our Thai restaurant hierarchy. Highly recommended!

Walking by after work and it looked like a cute spot so I stopped. I tried the crispy tofu salad and it was yummy and healthy. For dessert, I tried the mango sticky rice per the lady's suggestion. On point too! My neighbors got the pad see ew with beef that looked good. They have lunch specials I may try soon. Friendly service. Worth the visit!

You only get 90 minutes to dine, but our server was a little generous with that time limit as there wasn't any one waiting when we left. All of the dishes we ordered was good in it's own right. The pork belly fried rice had a hint of sweetness to it. I think it might be tamarind or something. But I could totally be off based. The crispy bits of pork belly added a nice texture. It's nothing like I've ever had before. The short ribs was fantastic. Full of flavor and fall of the bones tender. The papaya salad is something that was very familiar to all of the others I've had. Very comforting. Overall, I would definitely come back here and receiving great service on top of the great tasting food was all I could have asked for.

They had a very respectable pad see ew beef - sweet and savory, good amount of egg, a little stronger bitter broccoli but otherwise a good dish, good quantity to fill you up even though in the bowl it seemed smaller than it actually was with the rice noodle cooked well. The steamed sea bass with garlic and lime (Pla Neueng Manow) had beautifully cooked sea bass with a very nice spicy/sour/savory green garlic sauce which I'll have to try again. The fried version is supposedly very good, too, and the one person that always gets the basil fried rice had a wonderful aroma that we'll have to try again later. Mango sticky rice was a tasty dessert (although we probably didn't need the 3 orders they recommended for our table of 6), though usually like I like the purple rice version better, and came with a very cute shovel spoon. They gave a free birthday dessert of caramel delight which was ok, crumbly and sweet (I'm not a caramel fan but others liked it). Overall, good experience and solid food - while not the best Thai I've ever had, this certainly is a keeper for the Midtown East area. Will come again soon to try the lunch specials! Service was a little slow due to how busy they were, but do appreciate the birthday candle for the birthday friend!
