Cute small affordable bahn mi place near the library in the park. Very delicious. Only thing is I wish there was more pickled radish in the bahn mi. Else very affordable a specialized for our location and the pork was pretty good. There is some seating available inside as well as by the counter of the entrance.

Okay I just ordered a milk tea here so I can only speak to that but it was really good. The boba texture was just right. I asked for light sugar and they delivered because it wasn't too sweet. And lastly the tea flavor wasn't too strong or too light. Staff were super kind as well and the interior had cozy vibes. Will definitely be going back to try the food itself

After working out, I had a taste for boba tea. I saw that I wasn't too far away from Banh Mi Place. I read in a review that the coconut boba was delicious. I love coconut so I knew I had to try it. It's a small restaurant with a few small tables. The menu is expansive, but I was focused on getting my coconut boba tea. I placed my order with decaf black tea (it was after 8:00pm) with lychee. Their pricing is for cash, if you use a credit/debit card, there is a fee attached. I paid with cash. While I was waiting, I looked at the menu and I would like to go back a try some of their dishes. The employee was helpful.

    Braised Beef Pho

I've had traditional pho on several occasions, and unfortunately, this just wasn't it. The broth lacked flavor, in part because there was no hoisin sauce provided on the side to adjust the taste to preference. The most frustrating part of my experience was the bean sprouts. They were already placed in with the noodles, so I had to hand-pick them out. I've never seen sprouts served this way--whether dining in or ordering to go. Typically, the sprouts, noodles, and meat are served separately so diners can customize their bowl. This took away that flexibility and authenticity for me and made the meal more frustrating than enjoyable. The final straw was the noodles. They were chopped into short pieces, which made them mushy and difficult to eat. One of the pleasures of pho is slurping up long, silky noodles, and cutting them up really took away from that. I had been excited to enjoy a comforting, authentic bowl, but these details ended up diminishing the meal. I'd encourage the restaurant to stay closer to traditional presentation and preparation--it really makes a difference in the overall experience.

The summer rolls were good. It's been hard to find good summer rolls. The broth was decent but I wish the beef pho came with tendon, brisket, beef balls, and more. It was the simplest pho I've had where it's just sliced beef. Also, the Jasmine bubble tea is alright. Boba was ok. We lucked out on finding a table. It gets filled quickly. The place is small but nice and intimate. My wife liked her banh mi and said it's the first place to have ground pork. She said the bread is crispy. I wished this place had beef banh mi.

The coconut shake with tapioca balls...so good. Not too sweet. Worth walking a few blocks before/after the park.

Konditori, Villager, Bakeri, Hidden Grounds, and now Velvette Brew. First, the space: light, airy and I can imagine with their big windows, a sun soaked place on a sunny day. There are plenty of seats: tables and high top tables. Their menu offers a bit of everything from soup, sandwiches, quiche and pastries. There is a nice option of beverages hot/cold. Today, was a bit damp so I ordered a hot chai with bite size checkerboard cookies to dip. The barista was very pleasant and I found a seat while waiting for my chai. I see a lot of patrons working in laptops, some meeting up to talk and sip and even the barista chatted with a local patron. Love it! My chai was piping hot and absolutely delicious. The chai was frothy, rich, the black tea leaves infused with cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves, sweetener, and milk. I savored every sip and complimented the barista. It is always great to find a new coffee place. I expect to be a loyal local at Velvette Brew. They also host music events and have a collaboration with Cry Baby Ice Cream. The tacos comes in 4 per order and you can choose 2 different meat per order. I had the al pastor and shrimp taco. They were both ok flavor and taste wise but the 3 little shrimp was almost comical on the tortilla. (see picture) The birria sliders was good. We also ordered mussels, ribs and steak quesadilla from the regular menu to share. The ribs were ok and lacked flavor but it does come with a green sauce so maybe that's where you suppose to get the flavors. The quesadilla was good. The mussels were ok, they were fresh but again broth lacked flavor. The service was a bit slow on a Friday evening but I only saw 2 servers and one was also making the drinks. The place has a modern feel and looks nice with a small backyard for outdoor seats. They sat us in the back by the door and kitchen so not the best table since it's also by the trash cans. I would advise not to sit there if possible. FYI, it was not crowded with many open tables but I guess they sat us there due to lack of servers.
