The pickled carrot was sweet and not too tangy, the creamy silken tofu in perfect contrast to the crunchy cucumber and cilantro. The traditional sandwich with an addition of the firm tofu is a must-try elite taste to go for!! The prices are averaged, similar to the majority of other Vietnamese places but the quality is top notched for sure. They give a chunky portion of meats and an equivalent share of veggies that balances the greasy flavor of the meats which is a delicate combination. When I got the sandwich in my hand, it's heavy, stuffed with a whole bunch of ingredients and warm, as if I could already tell the crispiness of the baguette. To my eccentricity, I like adding tofu in their traditional banhmi for extra 2 dollars. I was playing around at my first try, but later on I found this combination a heaven. Ask for mild spice to enhance the flavors or you can also ask for a sriracha sauce on the side. The staff there packed the order very attentively. If you want spicy or even extra spicy be aware because they give a generous amount of jalapeños LOL. They issued the gift card of buying 10 sandwiches to get one free as well as for the bubble teas. I heard people been commenting about the grilled pork and chicken sandwich with double meats. That sounds like a very satisfying choice. Today, after a grilled pork banh mi, I tried a beef short rib banh mi- NO. Compared to the grilled pork it has zero flavor and the meat is so over braised that it's like eating mush. Will not make that mistake again. I'm sticking to the grilled pork. Virtually no seating and I made the huge mistake of dining in when I guess a local school was letting out/letting out for lunch - I dunno, but those school girls were obnoxious and ruined my experience. I've been travelling to Brooklyn for work for the past six months, and one of the things that I'll definitely miss when I leave is Banhmigos! I get a sandwich here once about week, and even my coworkers know that it's my favorite! I usually stick to the smoked duck summer rolls and the traditional banh mi sandwich. I've tried some of the other banh mi options, but the traditional is definitely my favorite. I love that they always switch out my roll for a whole wheat version and make my sandwich extra spicy, just how I request it on seamless. Some restaurants don't pay attention to that kind of customization, especially on an online form, but they do here! I've tried another banh mi shop in the area, and I honestly think Banhmigos is the best for banh mi in Brooklyn (or at least the area in Brooklyn where I work). I've only used their delivery service and can't comment about the restaurant itself, but their delivery has always been quick and friendly. read more

A light and refreshing sandwich; filling but not dense. Great for a hot summer day if you're in the neighborhood and hungry. With few veggies, you miss a lot of the contrasting texture, flavors, and temperatures of great Vietnamese food. Best banh mi and summer rolls in the city! So good that I was craving it again the day after we first tried it. If you eat pork, just stick to the traditional banh mi. Nothing can beat 3 kinds of meat on a sandwich, K?! The bread, marinated vegetables, and meat are all perfection. My only possible complaint about the banh mi is that the way the fillings are arranged, it makes it really difficult to get a bit of everything in one bite. The peanut sauce that comes with the summer rolls is awesome. I like the traditional roll with shrimp, although if you like duck, the smoked duck one is good too. Add a bit or sriracha to the peanut sauce for a kick and you've got a party in your mouth! The staff are all incredibly nice as well. Don't forget to pick up a loyalty card too - buy 9 sandwiches and get one free! As a warning, this place is mainly take-out or delivery, since there are only 4 stools at a small counter at which to dine-in. They have a loyalty card, where if you buy 9 sandwiches, you get the 10th for free. No where on the card does it note a limit to the price of the sandwich, not even in fine prints. I ordered the short rib sandwich and went to pick it up. When I gave them the "free sandwich" card, they said "you owe me $1". I didn't have $1 with me, but did have my credit card. I asked if I could pay an extra $1 next time since I was a loyal customer, she said no, they couldn't do it that way. "You pay for the full sandwich and keep the card." I could have argued that nowhere does it say there is a price limit to the free sandwich. But she swiped my credit card and didn't even give me an extra stamp on a new card. If there should be a limit on the price of the free sandwich, please note it on the card, even if it's in fine prints. It really is such a shame, because I would have remained a loyal customer who lives very nearby. But because of this lousy $1, you have lost me. It probably doesn't matter since it looks like you have a pretty good customer base, but I hope you won't do it to anyone else. read more

Such a different experience this time from the first time I tried it. Got the beef short rib vermicelli salad. The skimpy portion of meat was super disappointing, pretty dry, chewy and flavorless. The rice rolls (we got an order of the shrimp, one of chicken, and one duck) had way too much noodles as well and the peanut dipping sauce was overly sweet. I ate one and felt sick to my stomach.
