Came here for a quick bite with a friend. I'm really into fried chicken sandos and while I think their fried chicken was very good the sandwich material left a bit to be desired. The bun they used wasn't a brioche and also was colored which made it hard and chewy, felt like it took away from the experience of the chicken inside. They do let you pick between white and dark meat which is a nice touch. Service is booth style where you order and then you wait for your name to be called. The restaurant is in a food court so that's pretty standard. The real wonder however was the chicken tenders for like 7 dollars. It is an *insane* amount of chicken. And honestly probably the best value on the menu. I would highly recommend coming here for their tenders solely on the value alone though the quality also makes it very appealing. The chicken sandwich was very good... and big! After eating this and a couple fried dumplings, I was stuffed. The owner, despite the language barrier, was friendly and a real character too. I've had much better chicken sandwiches. It seems like they try to compensate for flavor by putting a ton of chicken in the sandwich, which is nice but it's literally impossible to eat the sandwich without taking it apart. And while that's not that big of a problem, we also didn't like the breading, it was reminiscent of a cornflake fry which I'm not a fan of. I got the insane spicy sandwich and it was literally not even a tiny bit spicy and DRENCHED in oil. My stomach actually hurt after and so did my husband's. Fries and wings were also meh. I had a ferocious craving for a crispy hot chicken sandwich today and this hit the spot. This was an incredible sandwich!! First off, it was practically the size of my face. There was literally chicken sticking out of both ends of the buns. The coating on this was insane, and so was the hot oil it was dunked in. I had to get my honestly review about the food. The food is really bad. We order original chicken sandwiches, wings and juice pork dumplings. Cost $36 and owner took the credit card fees pump up to $40.xx. Juice pork dumplings (Xiaolongbao）not much meat inside. I don't know how Owner add water in. Look like a lot of juice. But test weird of course. That cost $10 and $1 each. Test really bad and cheap. Fry check just use too much flour to dip fried. If you like crunchy, but you just eat flour. Meat either test bland or very salty. Environment is small food court. Self-severing. Outdoor chair and table. Don't expect is clean. I have no much complaints about. This is just what is it. My boyfriend and I discovered Bao Chick on Instagram and decided to check it out today (Friday 10/18). When we arrived there were several people waiting infront of the shop for their orders. The owner was working the cashier, and although he doesn't speak much english he has a great personality. The food took about 20 minutes to come out, and we had already received our orders from some of the other shops in the same plaza as Bao Chick. We ordered the Xiao Long Bao, Fried Chicken Wings, and Pork dumplings. We had high expectations for this place considering all the hype that's been built around it recently, however most our expectations were not met. Both the xiao long bao and regular pork dumplings had too much dough/wrapping on them and left an unpleasant texture when chewing. The Fried chicken was decent, but was only good when we dipped it in one of their sauces, however it was very crispy. All in all, there are definitely other restraunt in the same food plaza as Bao Chick that are worth trying, but wouldn't quite recommend this place over any other dumpling / fried chicken spot. read more
