Excited to finally try this place. Nestled in and easy to park section in southcoast Plaza. Interior design is super cute and filled with decent amount if seating. They had a bunch of exotic snacks stocked up as well. Staff was really helpful at assisting us with our order. We tried the cheeseburger with chilling, Japan dog, tater tots with dill ranch (extra), and egg salad from the Grab n go section. Burger was solid. Tasty, caramelized onions and melted cheese. Chilli was tasty but super messy. Japan dog had a nice crisp skin, sauce and bonito flakes were fun and gave it a nice umami taste. They can cut if in half if you want to share. GET THE TOTS. Probably my favorite part of the meal. Super crispy outside and fluffy inside. They top it with this zesty salt and it's addicting. We opted the dill sauce add-on -- it's good but you don't need it. Same opinion for their house tomato sauce. Normal ketchup is perfect with this. I also just dipped it in the egg salad and the zesty salt was delicious with the creamy egg. My friends wanted to come here for lunch and I was skeptical due to all the low ratings. Turns out this place is super good and I would definitely eat here again! We were a group of 4, got there right when they opened so no wait. When we left a little after 12 it was getting busy. Peruse the snack/drink section, order & pay at the counter, they give you a buzzer, find your table. The seating isn't the most comfortable, we sat at a picnic bench type table that was super hard and wobbly. They played awesome 80's music our entire visit and we were all jammin out to the hits! All 4 of us went with the cheeseburger, and we also ordered fries, miso mac & cheese, salt & vinegar tots, chicken nuggets, and a dole whip to share. For my husband and I it was $50, but we also bought 3 drinks, which were I think $4 each. I had a White Peach Oolong Pepsi, and it was surprisingly good! I also got a melon drink to take home - soooo sweet! Cheeseburgers were good! My husband thought it was a tad too salty, and I thought it was a tad too sweet, probably from the grilled/caramelized onions. I wasn't mad at it though. Fries were crisp and had great seasoning. Tots were very vinegary and SUPER crispy, we all loved them. Chicken Nuggets were pretty good, but definitely needed to be dipped. The 2 dipping sauces they have are great, my favorite was the dill ranch, if you love dill, you will love that sauce. My husband and I ordered two cheeseburgers, tater tots, and fries. It was definitely on the pricier side. Our food took a while to come out and once it did, we were a little disappointed. Cheese burger $10 (4 oz. patty) - This juicy burger consisted of a dry aged patty, American cheese, lettuce, dill pickles and grilled onions . A caramelized Gochujang sauce with Kewpie mayo is served on the burger and elevates the flavor profile. Chili $6 (100% beef) - This consisted of 8 oz. of an all beef chili with a little bit of kick. The consistency was a little unique in that it had almost paste like, but the taste was good. Overall Tiny's is a good casual burger spot. I came here today with my friend for lunch and it wasn't too busy. This place has a ton of cool snacks, and drinks! I ended up buying a few. You go up to the counter and order and receive a buzzer when the food is ready. I ordered the cheeseburger and miso mac & cheese. My friend also got the cheeseburger, but with a side of fries. The burger wasn't bad, but honestly, nothing stood out. The miso mac & cheese didn't taste like miso to me. It was fine, but honestly, a little overpriced. I also asked if they have a highchair and they do not. I saw other families keeping their kids in their stroller to eat. The inside was very clean and it was spacious. Service was also nice. They are located inside of South Coast Plaza, on the first floor, near the carousel. This spot has a food court vibe as well as a selection of snacks and drinks displayed in the front of the counter like a convenience store. The menu is fairly short, which makes the ordering easy. I tried the Cheeseburger, Fries, Miso Mac & Cheese, and Salt & Vinegar Tots. The Cheeseburger was tasty, although it was all the salty side. The Fries were salty as well. Chef Sang Yoon's OC experiment begins. It's located in the old Boudin spot at SCP. It is indeed a burger & fries place with a kombini that includes beer and wine. There's an adorable picnic salad, 2 types of egg salad sandwiches on milk bread and a chicken salad on squaw bread. More on these later. Solid burger. Not a smash burger so going double makes for a really hefty meal. You'll need a nap. Great fries and the house made ranch is more herby than Prime Pizza's. The mac & cheese was fine. My companion loved the miso hit. I didn't think it was miso enough. The Tokyo dog was a good time. The dog was great...snappy and beefy. And I quite I enjoyed having okonomiyaki toppings and sauces on top. The tuna melt was fine. Probably more cheesy than I would prefer. If it's milk bread, the griddle zaps all that away, so you can't tell. Tuna could have used more seasoning and acid. Grabbed some kombini items to go. The chicken salad was fine...lots of herbs, but I felt it was missing something. Egg salad was great..though there are is a halved hard-boiled egg shoved in that should also have been seasoned, but the milk bread is good. Interesting concept, my girlfriend wanted to try this place, it's on the first floor of SCP, across from Calo's. Initially when you walk in, it feels almost like a convenience store. There are rows of chips and drinks. You order at the counter and they deliver your food. The place has a cute vibe, it's very clean. There are several tables to sit at( we went around 11:30 am on a Tuesday). We tried several of the dishes. The best was the chili dog- flavor was great. We are huge fans of Father's Office and had high hopes for Tiny's but unfortunately this new establishment just didn't do it for us. Everything we tried was just average with the exception of the Tokyo hotdog. -The cheeseburger was nothing special. When we picked up pour food ạt the counter we were told the mac and cheese were sold out, but then another employee told us it will be ready in 8 minutes. The workers here were incredibly nice, just still getting the hang of things. I came on a weekday and my order came out in less than 10 minutes. This is also located in SCP so expecting bargain basement prices seems odd. I mean, the gelato spot two doors down is pushing $10 for a scoop... Onto the good: the aesthetic is super cute and there is tons of seating. They are also very dog-friendly with the outdoor seating and even sell dog toys and treats in their little market section. They even have egg salad sandwiches! We ordered a dry aged cheeseburger, salt & vinegar tater tots, and grabbed a couple alcoholic drinks from the adjacent fridge. Once we paid, we received a buzzer. We found seats and waited for our food was ready to pickup. The tots are perfectly fried with a nice tang from the vinegar powder. Awkward to be ignored for a minute when standing and staring at the staff, then when finally acknowledged, they got the order wrong, but luckily I caught it before the order was processed. Excited for this new Smashburger spot that recently opened at south coast plaza! Love that it doubles as a konbini with fun snacks, drinks, and even alcohol! When I came they actually ran out of Smashburger so I was a bit disappointed! I ended up getting a chili dog and fries instead which was delicious but it took nearly 20 minutes for it to come out. If I knew it was gonna end up taking the same amount of time as a burger, I definitely would have went ahead and ordered the burger. Tiny's is a new concept from the chef behind the famed Father's Office in LA. It is located at South Coast Plaza where Boudin used to be. However, don't come expecting anything like Father's Office. This is totally different thing. It's part Asian convenience store (snacks, candy, drinks, small bites) and part fast casual restaurant serving American comfort food with Asian influence. Think dry aged burgers with gochujang, Tokyo style hot dogs, tuna melts on milk bread, miso mac & cheese, Dole whips, etc. They even sell grab-and-go egg sandos. I went on grand opening and ordered a cheeseburger, chili dog, and tots. Everything was enjoyable from the food, to the service, to the 80's music. Prices are reasonable too. The Boudin space has been transformed. Since it's part convenience store, there are interesting things to look at while you wait for your food. It took about 15 mins to get my to-go order, and it was closer to closing. I can imagine it taking longer during the day. The burger was good and tasted fresh. However, there was no sauce offered, including for the tater tots. There was no ketchup dispenser or packets, at least, which you'd expect for a menu with burgers, hot dogs, and fries. Since the staff left the counter right after bringing my food, I didn't want to wait for someone to come back to ask if they have any sauce. I do like that they have a water dispenser. read more

I think I might have gone on an off day which I totally understand! And I'd totally be willing to give it another chance but for now, this is just my honest review. The salt and vinegar tater tots were good, but I didn't really taste any vinegar in them (I'm sure it's evaporated or something but I definitely think having extra vinegar would be great option!!) The cheese burgers were good! But I wished I could taste the sauce a little more in the burger. Miso Mac and cheese was so disappointing though :-'( I think mine was very different than the other pictures I've seen on yelp. I tasted 0 miso and honestly almost just tasted like velveeta :-'))... I signed up for the rewards program through Toast before the visit. We got cheeseburgers, fries, tots, mac & cheese, sauce and dill ranch. The burgers dare I say are better than Father's Office. The fries and tots were perfectly crispy. The m&c was more liquidy than I had expected. Also got a pineapple swirl was delightful. What got me here wasn't even the burger -- it was the fact that it was being described as a Japanese convenience store situation inside South Coast. I'm not a huge burger person. I like In-N-Out, I like a few smashburger spots, but I don't usually crave burgers. The convenience store concept and Japanese goods were what sold me. It also helps that this took over the old Forever 21 space, so parking was actually easy for once. You can park on the outside and walk right in without having to get swallowed by the mall, which already makes it more appealing. The branding here is really cute. Giant windows, deli-style counter, simple menu, clean color palette, cute dog theme -- the whole setup is just very well done. I also appreciated little details like the "fill your stupid water bottle here" sign. It's still pretty new, so it wasn't busy when I went, and service was good. I ended up trying a bunch of things because I'd heard the chef from Father's Office was behind it, and I've been wanting to try that burger forever. The cheeseburger was good -- pickles, caramelized onions, good bun, solid flavor. I only ate half because I was sharing, but I'd probably try a double next time since it wasn't huge. I also got the Tokyo dog, which was just okay for me. The hot dog itself had kind of a wrinkly/dried texture that I wasn't sure was intentional, and the sweet teriyaki-ish flavor on it was a little too sweet for me. Not terrible, just not something I'd reorder. The miso mac and cheese was really good though. Big noodles, fresh, not too heavy or overly rich. I also tried the **chili** because people said to get it. I'm not really a chili person, so I'm not the best judge, but it was all beef, rich, and definitely good for what it was. I just personally don't know what I'd do with chili beyond taking a few bites and saying "yep, that's good." I finished with the Straus soft serve, plain with no toppings. Since it's made with that Straus milk, the texture is a little different -- not that super smooth Pinkberry/Yogurtland type of soft serve. It had a slightly grainier, more natural dairy texture, but I still liked it. All in, trying a burger, dog, chili, miso mac, and soft serve came out to around $45, which honestly felt pretty fair for trying that much. I also appreciated small things, like them giving me separate spoons for the mac and cheese and chili so the flavors didn't mix. That kind of detail doesn't go unnoticed. Overall, I'd come back. Honestly, living in Orange County... shinier newer places would catch my business and just a burger never seemed worth the drive. Vinegar tots- first few bites were good, vinegar was subtle, then vinegary. I purchased the freshly made ranch dill sauce, it was good Hamburger- it was good. Loved the crunch from the pickles Tokyo Dog- too seaweedy for me. Pepsi grapefruit and bamboo flavor- this was my favorite!!!! I'm not a Pepsi person, but I loved this little treasure! I haven't tried the egg salad or salad basket box yet. So far, the menu items are very unique. Was able to try the cheeseburger, chili dog, salt and vinegar tater tots, and the miso Mac and cheese. Overall everything was good with the salt and vinegar tater tots being the highlight for me. I also liked the convenience store addition which gives a ton of drink options. Everything was a bit too salty but still enjoyable. read more

This is a quick service restaurant that is yummy. You place your order and it's delivered to your table. There are a couple of isles of unique snack foods ( think strawberry Oreos , and every flavor of Doritos chips) Almost all of the snacks are labeled in Japanese, so super fun and unique. The cheeseburger. 4 oz. American Dry Aged Beef Patty, American Cheese, Green Leaf Lettuce, Dill Pickles, Grilled Onion, Tiny's Sauce, Potato Bun.. was delish! The tuna melt. Wild Yellowfin Tuna, Kewpie Mayo, Sweet Onions, American Cheese, Milk Bread.... Had such a wonderful flavor .. love the zing of sweet onions. Tater tots.. you can never go wrong. I went on day 2 and had a great time. Sang was there managing the restaurant and fine tuning every interaction. I noticed he went outside of the restaurant to check on how many people were still waiting because he knew food was taking a while. I really appreciate the team's commitment to a strong start! The convenience store snacks are amazing. They are all the best overseas snacks at AFFORDABLE prices. I got the cheeseburger, fries, and miso Mac n cheese. Burger - 8.2/10 - amazing presentation, perfectly seasoned beef. Wish the bun was toastier but idk if this type of bun is supposed to be toasty. Fries - 7/-10 - McDonald's fries are better Miso Mac n Cheese - 7.8/10 - great texture and taste. Don't think I liked the miso part. Tiny's Sauce - 9.3/10 - really unique sauce! Vinegary and tangy and bomb. I love how the seating is indoor/outdoor. Will be back to try the hot dog, chili, and dole whip! read more

Went here on a weekday, close to 7PM. Ordering was fast and simple. I was pretty bummed that they didn't have an option for raw onions. The wait time was pretty crazy. We waited 45-50 minutes for our pager to buzz. The burger itself needs more seasoning and the caramelized onions really dim down the burger even more. It doesn't do anything for it - you taste it very slightly. The salt and vinegar tots and dill ranch were the stars of the show. My only complaint is that the dill ranch for a pretty small portion is $1.00! LAAAWD. It's really good tho. I'd rather go to Peter's Gourmet, Bunz, Nexx Burger, and/or In and Out. read more

A very cute and intriguing store/ restaurant? It's like a mini Asian convenience store but with great food. I was expecting more "Asian" food items but was pleasantly surprised with the best $10 cheeseburger. Don't gasp because a western bacon cheeseburger goes for about same at Carl's Jr. it was very juicy and tasty. Bun and cheese amazing. Comes with grilled onions but tasted more caramelized. I've passed by this spot a few times since it replaced Boudin at South Coast Plaza, and I noticed it was rarely busy. The interior setup is odd--it looks like a mini convenience store mixed with an outdoor street food stand. Still, my family and I love trying new places, so we decided to give it a try We ordered a cheeseburger, Salt & Vinegar Tots, and regular fries. Unfortunately, the food was a huge letdown First, the burger was mushy and poorly seasoned. The caramelized onions made the whole burger soggy. The pickles were plentiful, but had zero tangy or refreshing flavor, and the lettuce was just a single, paper-thin slice. The beef patty itself was dry, and the whole burger lacked proper seasoning. The sides were even worse. Both the Salt & Vinegar Tots and fries were overwhelmingly, aggressively salty. It felt like eating a mouthful of pure salt. We forced ourselves to finish them, but my mouth was left tingling and my blood pressure felt like it was skyrocketing. We also paid $1 each for sauces, and the "Tiny House Sauce" was a mystery. This place doesn't deserve the 3-star reviews it's receiving. It's $10 for a cheeseburger, but it's located in South Coast. It's legit a really good cheeseburger. The dill ranch is fire and the Tinys sauce was good. All the 1-star reviews are probably coming from opening weekend where they probably struggled with a new restaurant. I had great service. The cashier was in a great mood, and they helped clean the table without me asking. The food did take maybe 10+ minutes, which could be better so manage your expectations. Realistically, I'd give this spot a 8.3 out of 10, but the place doesn't deserve the hate it's getting so I'm eating it a 5. read more
