I love this place! Stacey the tender is hit or miss on crankiness but Thurs are 2 for 1 drinks!! and there are always dollar jello shots. Cool bar but stay away if you are a homophobe. It is primarily a gay bar. Ive had many men buy me drinks here which is always a plus. Divey yet hip at the same time. We always seem to wind up here on Thursdays when it's 2-for-1 when we've already had too much too drink. I'm surprised poor Nathan hasn't 86d us yet! Fun place to hang out, everyone here is friendly and laid back and there's no attitude. There really is something here for everyone: They have pool tables, darts and other games. There is a cool lounge area to hang out and chill if you're feeling more low key and they have an awesome patio. It's a gay bar so expect to hear lots of Madonna and Lady Gaga, so you may love the tunes they play or you may hate them. this is such a rockstar place, I LOVED coming here tonight with my boyfriend. When we first rolled up my boyfriend was nervous that it would be a pretentious yuppie bar because the parking lot was full and it looks very nice from the outside. I did not realize it was a gay bar at first but my boyfriend had a clue. I loved the drinks they had advertised for really reasonable prices. I had the Bellini which was advertised on a sign for $5 but it was $1 off on the night we went there. They also had a 2 for 1 special on some drinks and my boyfriend's Stiletto Martini happened to be one of them. The martini was delicious, it had like a pomegranate or some fruit flavor to it. Oh it was so good. I totally appreciated the décor of this place and my big clue that it was a gay bar came when I was watching the music videos on the tv screens displayed throughout. There were a few obvious gay music videos, and they were so fun I couldn't stop dancing. They also played music videos from some of my favorites like Kelis and One Direction. The Women's bathroom, which I had to go to THREE times, was nice and updated although very tiny. The patio is fun, great relaxing furniture and has air conditioners on it so you are not sweating your balls off outside while having a sip and cuddle with your partner. This place has friendly staff, a great vibe, fun music, pool tables, outdoor patio, clean bathrooms, and good drinks.

Been coming here on Fridays and Saturdays to start the night and the service is great, atmosphere is chill, and drink prices are very fair. I highly recommend. I live way the hell out in Surprise, so I only get to this place every now and then or when I have to be downtown for something else. Every time I have stopped in has been a good experience. Bartenders are awesome, friendly, and know how to pour a great drink. This is my alltime favorite Phoenix bar, just above Stacy's on my "must go" list. read more

So this bar was still under construction when me and my friends went in there for my 30th bday. WE HAD A BLAST!!!! The bartenders were caring and attentive... The bouncer was totally hot!!! Great bar with both an excellent outdoor area and inside area. Perfect bar for professionals after work. Only down side is bartenders tend to play god with Touchtones with juke box and not allow paying client to listen to the songs they paid for online. I liked the decor on the inside, along with the couches and fireplace. This place is a welcome break from the loud/blaring music that most other bars are known for. Hence, I'd normally rank this either 3 or 4 stars. However, this place also scans drivers licenses into a data collection machine, which is used to collect information about the patron that is then resold to other companies (think junk mail, folks) for approx. 10 cents per name (this figure may have gone up). They insisted on swiping my driver's license into their machine in order for you to be let into the bar. If the magnetic strip on the back of the license does not work, they will then scan in the machine-readable dot code to collect one's personal information that way. If a place violates my privacy like this, it immediately gets the worst rating possible, and I don't return. I don't mind them checking my age. I do mind them collecting my information for resale or privacy invasion purposes. read more

But it took the bartender longer than I think it should've to get to me... Also, I opened a tab as a courtesy (because I thought that was more convenient for the bar) but they charge you a $25 deposit for opening a tab despite what you actually purchase... This bars cool depending on the night. Sometimes its full of older gents and sometimes its full of down to earth trendy gay guys. On karaoke on tuesdays its really fun and gets packed. Nancy the karaoke hostess is one of the nicest people i have met and they have a wonderful selection of songs. The patio outside is gorgeous and they have a sitting area that is really serene. Great neighborhood bar, I live up the street. I notice an increasing number of straight couples some nights, that feel comfortable to be in a neighborhood gay bar and interact with everyone. The smoking patio is great, the way it is set up, any smoke dissipates so non smokers are not uncomfortable. It has heaters in the winter and air coolers in the summer. Thursday 2 for 1 and Friday nights are the best. The staff and owners are very welcoming to everyone. To correct prior posts, one of the owners was a prior not current partner in Amsterdam (now The Bar) quite a while ago. read more

Upon arrival to Bar One I was greeted by the bouncer! Upon entering I noticed the bar had good music playing. I really enjoyed the crowd. Its a nice lounge. Neighborhood bar. The bartenders provide EXCELLENT customer service. Both of the bartenders keep the bar clean and rollin! It was 2 for 1 Thursday. Good deal on drinks. That one bartender caught my eye! He was hot and spicy! The other bartender works quite hard too! It's been a couple of years since I have been to Bar 1. I did see a guy wearing a backwards hat out on the patio. He was taller. I do recall seeing him at Bar 1 about a year and half ago. Maybe I will see him next time I'm in. Keep up the hard work! read more
