Stop in because sign read lunch for $10. I decided I only wanted a BBQ sandwich and a drink. Paid around $15 which no problem. No Coke or Pepsi which I never been to a place that didn't carry at least one. I asked to sit outside, the lady gave me my drink and I waited, and waited, and waited finally I got up to go inside to see what was taking so long and the waitress met me at the door and handed me a sack like a to go order. I sat outside and finished my sandwich which was not that great meat had a lot of fat but the bbq sauce was good so made the sandwich ok. I ordered the BBQ tray (BBQ and your choice of red slaw or white) and a side item. I was well pleased with my meal! They offer a variety of sauces to satisfy everyone's taste. The brisket was also tender; it had no smoke, but was my favorite of the three. The wings were also tender, but had no flavor. The sides were just OK. I remember that my family and I would come here almost every time we'd go on vacation to Oak Island and we would always enjoy ourselves. Today was the first time I had been in a long time and by myself too. Miss Sammy took wonderful care of me and ensured my sweet tea was always topped off. I was surprised how fast my order came out. I work at another bbq restaurant in Wilmington and I gotta say that Bar-B-Que House's food is just as delicious as what we serve. I also love the atmosphere of this place. The whole restaurant I believe since has changed the last time we were here but I adore the white southern kitchen vibe they have it reminds me so much of my home and my granny's house. I ordered the Big Daddy Plate with the Brunswick Stew and the half hickory smoked chicken served with hush puppies, red slaw, and homemade Mac and cheese. Every single bite was so delicious and filling. And just when I thought it could not get better, Miss Sammy asked me if I wanted dessert and served me up a slice of the most toe-curling key lime pie I've ever had the pleasure of tasting.
