It came with a bag of chips, and coleslaw. For $20, it was delicious and had a lot of meat in it. Buttery toasted soft bread with meaty chunks of lobster claws and tails both combined. Coleslaw was just right, not too creamy or too heavy. If the restaurant is too busy, you can ask for a to go and eat inside the common areas of the building. It is convenient! Lobster was alarmingly past it, a couple of claw pieces and some small worm like something's made up the bulk of the base. No melted butter and smear of some kind of spread on roll. I came here twice in one week after trying it for the first time! Found this spot when we were craving oysters and just came to try them on a whim. Food was delicious and the lobster rolls were not skimpy on the lobster at all. The atmosphere sitting outside is fun and laid back. One very random note is that the table signs are large laminated drawings that don't stay put or upright in the slightest wind, so my date and I kept having to grab the sign and try figuring out how to keep it visible without just holding it. For what we paid, this felt really poorly thought out and oddly frustrating the longer we dealt with it. I couldn't help thinking "it can't be only us that have had this issue?" Okay, so this is the second time I went to this place since they reopened during COVID-19 on their patio. First visit was on the day they reopened. My wife and I got two Lobster rolls and unfortunately both of them had lobster that was watery and frozen. I have honestly never heard of a restaurant that completely runs out of food three hours prior to closing! The lobster salad was really good here! It came with avocados and the portion was about medium sized (I was pretty full after that meal). The lobster rolls come with chips or salad. I don't really like the seating, it feels very public versus being able to enjoy a conversation over lunch. I got the Kale Caesar without beets and crabmeat. It was a super generous serving, and I left feeling pretty stuffed. The lemon dressing was creamy but still light enough to make the dish refreshing. I know I omitted the beets, but I wish there was some other type of veggie in the salad (apart from the pistachios) to make things more interesting because I felt like a cow munching on leaves after a while. If you are looking for a quality lobster roll, this might be the place for you! Meh. It was ok. Since there's very few spots that specialize in lobster rolls in Seattle, I was very excited to pay this spot a visit. The enormous hall which Bar Harbor sits on has many different interesting little eateries which makes the whole greater than the sum of its parts. The interior of Bar Harbor was cool with an open kitchen and a swanky little bar. The food seemed like something you'd get a nice small town market. The lobster rolls were lackluster, toasted (cold) bread and lobster mix with little flavor. I opted for a chowder on the side (+$4) which was good but pretty watery and lukewarm. Came in at about 8:35 and hated to feel like those people who come so close to closing, but was dying to try the infamous lobster rolls. Unfortunately they were sold out (busy weekend with labor day and events like bumbershoot). Regardless, we went with the lobster mac and crab cake sliders. Both were amazing! Michael served us and I asked for a recommendation on draft beers. He noticed that I hadn't been in love with the choice and offered another, which ended up being perfect for me! Our service was excellent and although I felt terrible about not loving the recommendation, Michael quickly replaced the first beer and made sure that everything was all 10's across the board for us. Again, I hated being "those people", but Michael went above and beyond to assure we had an excellent experience dining in. It was such an enjoyable dinner and I'll definitely be back here again. It's been such a long time since I've received the tier of service that I did tonight.
