    Water fountain show
    Kimberly K.

Outside had a wind tunnel but still hot and was melting after 45m when sat at 8p Scallops were a tad salty but we're big. First but was hard same or shell, testing the strength of my teeth Beef medallions were tiny, anything cooked more than medium would have turned them into rocks. First but was way grisly and had to spit it out. There goes 1 out of 3 lil beef bites. Not even 1 standard size of trumpet mushroom. Felt really bloated right afterwards, which usually means it's not good quality meat and too fatty for my body to handle The caramel looked like it was supposed to melt the chocolate dome but it sure didn't. Wasn't too impressed by the dessert but the spicy caramel had a nice kick Service was alright, wasn't really prompt when needed or checked up on until food was done The water show in the park and the fireworks show at the front of the hotel both start at the same time - 9p. The restaurant would have been a primo spot for both but on different sides. There's a long line to go up the elevator so thinking it'll be just as crowded afterwards, we decided to stay on the ground level to exit immediately after the shows and walked back and forth to get glimpses of show the shows. Would have been better if there was a separate time for the shows to enjoy both the whole time but that's not how they roll Subpar wannabe fancy food but saw the tomahawk presentation and that was nice for a large table. The views of the park was up close as you can be from a rooftop. It was great to see it in the daytime and nighttime for all the lighting

Although on the pricey side, you can't beat the service. If you plan on going to get a great view to watch the fireworks you need to make a reservation. Located at the top of the helios hotel at Universal this is the one of the Better places to eat in universal. The food is served tapas style so we ordered a few plates to try. We loved the cheese plate starter made with farmers cheese, honeycomb and foccacia. I would go again just for this! We tried The zucchini flowers , but not our style but good and the beef medallians cooked perfectly medium rare. I was a little disappointed we didn't get our scallops because they were sold out, but that only means they must be delicious. Dessert was made tableside and included liquid nitrogen that which the seven year old gladly smashed. While you're waiting for dessert, enjoy the spectacular views. Above all, the service from our server was top notch.

Amazing!! Great food!! Just that you need to be ready to spend!!!! Great steak and the light show was even better!!

Somewhat of a small plate place. I was seated at the bar, which I dislike. I ordered the lamb chops. Teeny tiny chops Good for two bites. Received three, served with some awful green sauce, baby onions, and tomatoes. I finished, went to a place in the hotel, and got a ham sandwich with two waters and a Diet Coke. I was pushing a hundred dollars for just me. Lesson well learned.

Great deal for magical dining! We loved trying different items throughout the menu! We tried the farmers cheese and the patatas bravas for the appetizer and also added a half dozen raw oysters with the pink peppercorn mignonette! The oysters were surprisingly good along with the other appetizers. I had the beef medallions as my entree and they were perfectly cooked medium rare. We had the chocolate dessert and the opera cake. Both were delicious! Overall I thought the magical dining was a great deal and we had a great time! Lots of delicious flavors throughout the every dish we tried. Our server Ben was very nice and accommodating! We definitely recommend for a nice dinner in Orlando.

Amazing restaurant with beautiful views. I highly recommend sitting outside. Even in July when it's scorching hot, there is airflow so I did not sweat sitting outside. The main benefit of sitting outside is you have a gorgeous view of the entire park. Being that we haven't been to the park yet it allowed me to see an aerial view of all the lands. It was also quite entertaining for my kids. I was afraid that this place would be packed but at 5 PM we were the only table outside by the time we left at around 6:30 there were three other tables out there. Inside is beautiful too, but I think outside is where it's at. Our server was absolutely phenomenal. He was attentive and checked in the right amount of time. We ended up getting chicken tenders and fries for the kids to share. Pro tip is there is a kids menu. They just don't advertise it. They don't have printed kids menus, but the server was able to tell us what the options for the kids were. Off the top of my head I believe there was chicken tenders, grilled chicken, and pasta with either cream sauce or red sauce. They all came with either fries or a fruit cup. Then my husband and I got a seafood tower to share. It was a good amount of food for two people, we left absolutely stuffed. The oysters were phenomenal. I loved the tuna sashimi, and the crab was great. All in all a fantastic choice. The drinks are also delicious. I tried the feta cheese drink, which lived up to the hype. It's definitely a unique drink, but if you like feta cheese, you'll absolutely love it. My husband got an old-fashioned and enjoyed it. We were celebrating my son's birthday so he got complimentary gelato. I thought the gelato was amazing and would recommend. This place is a must go to if you were staying at the hotel. Everything was great and I definitely want to come back.

This was truly a delightful experience. The hotel is stunning and the views of epic universe at night as well as the night time show are amazing. The bar Helios restaurant is so beautiful. The service is exceptional. The food was very delicious. I look forward to dining here again.

Very nice and contemporary accommodations. Pretty good view, a little obstructed. I give the observation area a 6/10 as it's hard to see due to the layout. The service was very professional but maybe a little aloof. The food was good but for the price, we really expected it to be spectacular. It was a great one time experience but probably won't be back. Also, warning! To get parking validated and not have to pay the daily $125 fee you have to spend at least $75 per vehicle. We had 2 vehicles as we met there. We had to go down to the gelato place and get something in order to meet the requirements.

This was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. Every single thing I ate was incredible and the bar was beautiful. It also has a great view of the park if you want to see the closing ceremonies! Even though this place is pricey it is 10/10 worth it, make sure to get the mussels if you go and sit at the bar so you can view the beautiful artwork on the ceiling!

This restaurant is by far the nicest restaurant in any theme park! You can access the rooftop restaurant and bar from either inside of Epic Universe, as a guest of the hotel or as a regular patron. The aesthetic is truly beautiful and it's a great atmosphere. The bites and drinks were delicious! I couldn't give it a full 5 stars because the service was a little lacking. Our server was inattentive but the hostess were great! I'd probably be back more if they offered a happy hour.

We made a reservation for magical dining! The restaurant has a celestial theme that matches the ethereal feel of Epic. Being so high up made me feel like I was dining up among the constellations. Such intentional design choices added to ambience. Our waiter Ben, was attentive at every step, making for a very pleasant experience. For the appetizer, I ordered the farmers cheese: whipped farmers cheese, honeycomb, pistachio, seasonal fruit: grapefruit, and strawberries, and grilled-to-perfection focaccia. It was last meal good; seriously one of the best appetizers I've ever had. The cheese was smooth and salty- not like intensely salty. The combination of the honeycomb, fruit and cheese was heavenly. It was absolutely delicious- so many perfectly balanced textures. We also ordered the oysters, the sauce was tangy and delicious, I especially enjoyed the crisp onion on top. I order the Pan Seared Diver Scallops as the entree, they were browned on top and tender inside, I wanted to savor every bite. I was able to taste the citrus more prominently than the dill in the foam on top. The polenta was a warm, comforting touch. I didn't care for the cheese cracker thing, but the presentation was gorgeous. For dessert I had the Mount Vesuvius- I loved the drama of the hot carmel on the chocolate sphere. The chocolate was rich and creamy. I will definitely be returning.

We reserved a table here via Resy, for 7:30pm on a Monday, and it wasn't too busy. We chose to sit inside due to the windier night and still had a great view of the park. The inside tables near the park side are on a platform so we could see sections of the park which is so beautiful at night with all the lights on. We arrived 5 min before our reservation and were seated right away. The inside is beautifully decorated, with a ceiling of constellations and names of I heard people who built the area. Using Google Translate was fun to see the names of the people on the ceiling. Our server Luke was attentive, quick to refill waters and provided recommendations. Our drinks and food came out quickly. They were accommodating and informative regarding allergies. For two adults with alcoholic drink each, and we ordered the mussels, duck empanadillas, grilled octopus and the beef skewer. All dishes were delicious but our favorite was the beef skewer. Mussels were great and we loved the sauce, octopus slightly overcooked but had a great char on it. Duck empanadillas also delicious. The total for 2 for all the above was $150 not including tip. Be prepared to pay for the experience and the view, but food was good but servings smaller.

Bar Hellos completely exceeded my expectations. The drinks are absolutely amazing and so thoughtfully crafted. The Aphrodite is hands down the best drink on the menu and officially my all time favorite drink. The balance of flavors is perfect and it is beautifully presented. Plus, you cannot beat the view of Epic Universe! The farmers cheese is just as incredible. It is fresh, flavorful, and pairs perfectly with the drinks. It is one of those dishes that you keep thinking about long after you leave. The service is a little slow, but the staff is friendly and the overall experience is still wonderful. The quality of the drinks and food more than makes up for the wait. I cannot wait to go back and order both again.

We looked over the happy hour menu (good all day on Monday nights and Tuesday through Friday 5-7pm). We ask Mel about the "Bartender's Choice" selection under happy hour drinks. She said the bartender will mix a drink of their preference. The customer cannot choose the alcohol or any mixers as the bartender makes the decisions all by him or herself. Mel asked if we had any allergies or any other issues that might affect the drinks the bartender would like to make. We said we did not and we decided to take on this "choice" experience. Serena was the bartender of the evening and she did an amazing job. She mixed up various concoctions for us throughout the night (we ordered a second round after the first one) and we enjoyed every drink she prepared. The presentation of the drinks were also well done. Serena's cocktails consisted of bourbon, rum, and various ingredients which could include bitters, lemon, agave or other cocktail mixers. She was the bartender extraordinaire of the evening. For food, we ordered the half dozen chicken wings (2 orders since they were so good) and the pizza empanadas to start. The two empanadas had mozzarella cheese stuffed inside and were served with a warm marinara. From the main menu, we ordered the Faroe Island Salmon, which was served on a bad of risotto and tomato butter, with capers. The portion of the salmon was somewhat small for the price of $28, but it and the risotto were cooked perfectly. We ended the night with their signature drink, "Death in the Afternoon" which contains absinthe and is one of my favorite drinks here in Orlando. It was another five star experience and my friend found a new restaurant she now loves. All in all, a great night thanks to the attentiveness and easy-going attitude of Mel, our server, and the exceptional cocktails from the bartender, Serena. Thank you both for a job very well done!

We started with the Tabla Bulla, which was a great way to sample different flavors. The Patatas Bravas were especially delicious, and if you enjoy a little spice, I definitely recommend giving them a try. The Spanish Ham Croquettes are always a must for me, and I loved how well the flavor paired with the accompanying guava jelly, that sweet and savory combination was fantastic. Unfortunately, we didn't get the chance to try the Albóndigas because they were already sold out for the night, but that's just another reason to come back next time! For our main dish, we shared the Seafood Paella, and it was definitely a highlight of the meal. It was savory, flavorful, and packed with seafood, making it a great choice for anyone who loves seafood. The portion was also generous enough to comfortably feed our party of five when sharing it with the other dishes. Of course, we couldn't end the night without something sweet. We finished with the Churros and Coconut Flan, and both were delicious ways to wrap up the meal. I can honestly say that this restaurant is 100% legit as far as Spanish restaurants go. On this occasion we ordered a number of Tapas to share at the table. We ordered the cured Manchego cheese and Spanish ham board, Pulpo A La Vinagreta (Octopus in Vinegar), Serrano Ham and Codfish croquettes (absolutely delicious), Spanish Omelete and Al of us decide to try the Spanish Bean Soup (Fabada Asturiana). Everything we ordered was fresh, hearty and tasted exactly as expected. No cutting corners at Turull's folks and I am pretty sure that everything else on the menu would be just as good. If you decide to try one of their paella rice dishes, you hey looked great as well but plan on 45 minutes or so before it gets to the table as it is made fresh to order, no exceptions. Honestly, that is the only way to do it.... Who wants reheated paella as that would be heresy! LOL! For dessert we ordered the Flan and the Torta de San Martin, where the torta is a traditional Spanish pastry served with Almond ice cream, and both were very good. Finishing things off with some espresso and boy life was really good at this point. The atmosphere was very welcoming as Fridays and Saturday's they have live music which was in full force during our dinner. As you can imagine, we did take advantage and "cut a little rug" before we left as well! LOL! All in all it was a great outing and nothing better than good food, good wine and family as the setup for a wonderful evening. Service was excellent as well and no worries about parking either as there is plenty available. So if you find yourselves with a hankering for some good Spanish cuisine while in the Orlando, FL area, you should definitely check them out. My favorite thing to enjoy at DBA is their Wednesday girl dinner special. It features a choice of drink (I get a gin martini, but there's a margherita, wine, and beer option), fries, and a caesar salad for $25. You can add fried chicken to the salad for an additional fee, and it's worth it for the lightly battered, tender chicken that they add. This Wednesday special is brilliant and absolutely delicious. The fries are perfect (get the honey mustard!), and the salad would be something I would order time and time again, even off the special. My friend got the double smashburger and the smell of the caramelized onions compelled me to ask for a bite. I'm willing to stray from my fries and salad to enjoy this burger again next time. I'm still thinking about it days later... For dessert, I enjoyed the chocolate olive oil cake (a nod to the beloved olive oil cake at their sister restaurant next door). Take a look at my photos to see this dish in all of its glory. Though it's small, we all shared in the rich dessert and left fully satisfied. Again- big fan of DBA and plan to hit them up much more often now that I've rediscovered their Wednesday special! Previous review: 5 Stars for boozy but balanced cocktails, a chill atmosphere, bites that stay on my mind for days, and staff that makes you feel like family. dba recently opened as a sister concept to The Strand nextdoor. It's owned by the same family and carries over a similarly casual-chic, unpretentious atmosphere with quality offerings that will make it a staple in your rotation. No, really, I've been there 3 times in 2 weeks... Where The Strand is an outstanding neighborhood restaurant which happens to also feature an interesting beverage program, dba is an outstanding little cocktail bar which happens to also feature an interesting bites menu. Both do everything they do really well. In terms of drinks, my go-to is the cigarette for breakfast- essentially their take on an old fashioned, but every drink I've ordered has been equally potent and balanced. The drinks have got nuance. I've also ordered a wet gin martini with blue cheese olives and that classic was done to perfection. But, if you aren't a drinker, don't fret- I went with a friend who is pregnant and they were able to concoct a fun mocktail for her as well. in terms of bites, you can't go wrong with the duck flatbread (I have been dreaming about it since!), the pan con tomate, or the cacio e pepe deviled eggs (same as on the menu next door). Next time I'm definitely trying the octopus salad! Finally, ambiance. This spot feels like you're sitting in a good friend's cozy living room. Assuming your good friend has impeccable taste and plenty of time for a curated thrift store haul. They've got records playing great tunes (you'll get some quick quiet moments as they change the vinyls throughout the night) and the lighting is dim. Again, it's unpretentious and is the kind of place you want to really settle into on a weekday night. Can't wait for my next visit!
