Love coming for Martini Wednesdays. My gal pal made a resy same day and we were easily seated. Tonight was girl dinner - Dirty martini with blue cheese stuffed olives. The dirtier the better. It was delicious. -I ordered a Caesar salad salad with shrimp, but they gave me the salmon instead, I didn't correct my waitress and I'm totally honest, NO regrets The salmon was fresh, flavorful and paired well with my salad! ALSO I'm so so picky about my caesar salads. Many places in general the dressing is lacking in flavor, authenticity, and the lettuce itself is gross. But not at Bar Italia. Our team choose this as a venue to celebrate completing a very large deadline. We ate outside on the patio and it was truly lively and very welcoming to gather, talk and celebrate. Everyone chose drinks and dinner. The drinks were beyond awesome. This is as a group of 7 and 1 of the 7 just stopped in for a quick hello. The food had missed reviews from this group, which landed a 4 star review for me. The positives were the freshness and variety of the menus. We were surprised a bread service was not offered with the menu items. One guest ordered the salmon, which had a description of grilled and it was actually pan seared and very dry. Wow. The food was amazing. We sat outdoors and it was warm, but they only had outdoor available, so we took it. My daughter had been before and told us it was a must try. We started with 3 apps. The spicy shrimp was delicious and the bread to drop? Just YUM! Calamari with shrimp was also great m, but the sausage bread was my favorite. Dense and full of flavor. We were full but ordered dinner anyways. My daughter had spicy vodka pasta and crispy chicken and loved it. Jess had chicken limone and also loved it. I had chicken parm (of course) and it was good. Last night I had the opportunity to try this establishment for the first time. It was a good experience. The food was delish! I ordered their Strawberry Basil Smash and their Crispy Chicken Limone as my main dish. The food was the perfect portion for me and was seasoned evenly. Came here with a friend on a whim and had a BLAST. The bread could have fed like 4-6 people but my friend and I devoured it. Pro tip: Get the ricotta!! One of my favs in the Winter Park area. I love the indoor/outdoor bar seating. Snacks were in order, and we opted for a variety to sample; the Shrimp Scampi which had a light and spicy sauce, the One Big Meatball, and Tomato & Burrata apps. All very good. My GF was on a jag after the first visit, so we returned the next night for a rerun of the scampi, and I had a Caesar w chicken. It's been a while since I dined in here at Bar Italia and this experience was 10/10. We started off with the fritti misto. I'm always a sucker for calamari. I LOVED that this was served with shrimp AND calamari. The crisp was perfection. I loved the sauces that it was paired with as well- I believe it was marinara and aoli. For my main, I ordered the chicken limone. I loved that they added a small portion of pasta with the chicken limone. The creamy lemon sauce was the perfect balance. The last time I was here, it was only served with arugula, so this was a lovely touch. The service was quick and the ambiance was very chill, dimly lit, and the bar area had sports playing on the TVs. Perfect for a girls night, date night, or a birthday dinner. We came in for dinner and had a decent experience. The restaurant is beautiful and has a great vibe for dinner. Our waitress was very nice. To drink, I got a martini. It was basic, but good. For our entree, we got the rustic bread with whipped ricotta. The bead was fresh and I loved the olive oil and cheese. I do wish the olive oil was served in a more shallow dish to make it easier to dip the bread and get the herbs without drowning in oil. For my entree, I got the mushroom bianco pizza. It was crisp, cheesy, and savory with a good balance of toppings. My boyfriend got the spaghetti bolognese and loved it. While the food was nice, service was very slow. This has been a pattern in my experiences at Bar Italia. I wonder if they are chronically understaffed. Our wait was so long, the manager offered us a free desert. While we appreciated the gesture and the apologies, it was a downside of our experience. I'll definitely be back, but with the expectation that there may be a wait. read more

Fantastic and delicious meal here with a work group tonight. Servings were large and shareable for our group. Everyone in the group enjoyed the meal and each others company in a beautiful atmosphere with friendly staff. My favorite part of the meal was the rigatoni and chicken Parmesan. Made a reservation for 5:30, ended up getting there a little early. We were sat immediately, sadly we didn't realize happy hour did not extend into the restaurant and was only on the patio. We enjoyed an old fashion and dirty martini. The old fashion was a little too sweet for my boyfriend. The food was delish. Bread service ($6), lasagna and the seasonal creamy lemon pasta. Don't know that we needed bread when it already came with the pasta but super yummy from a local bakery. Our server, can't remember his name, a red haired man, seemed a little off. I made reservations at Bar Italia for a birthday celebration. Once I arrived I was greeted by a friendly hostess who sat me down. The vibe was nice inside, it was dimly lit with candlelight on the table. For an appetizer we ordered the bread with ricotta and some $8 martinis that were made with tequila (sorry I forgot the name of them). The ricotta was airy, whipped, and paired well with the bread it was served on. The martini's were delicious and for $8 a steal, they had the perfect balance of liquor and sweetness. For entrees we ordered from the menu insert, I got the Bucatini with Braised Ribs, Sausage and my friend ordered a Lemon Chicken with salad and Pasta. Both entrees had big portions which was nice and I was able to bring leftovers home. The bucatini was flavorful with tons of meat. The chicken dish was so tender I could cut the chicken with just a fork. For dessert we ordered the Hazelnut Chocolate Cake with a scoop of ice cream. The cake was warm as well as moist. The nuts on top gave the cake a nice texture. Our meal was perfection and the only complaint I had was that it was a little too dark in the dining room but food and service were amazing. read more

I definitely would say that I would favor the drinks they have to offer and thought it was really nice that they had a Valentine's Day menu for all the families and couples that visited their franchise. Don't get the rating wrong , great time , amazing , staff and a good amount of variety and choices on the menu . I ordered the homemade lasagna and it was tasty , but I think my expectations may have been a bit more higher given it being their homemade dish, but I really would live to try all the other options they have on the menu because the pizza looked delicious and I may have to stop in to check that out. Served in a garlicky olive oil pesto sauce and garnished with zucchini and sun-dried tomatoes, it was quite tasty. I thought $18 was slightly on the high side for the portion size. The pasta came with a crusty Italian bread that was ever-so-slightly dry on the inside too. I really wanted to love Bar Italia, but I'm not sure I'm quite sold on it! We came here with family on a weekend and did have a reservation. There was seating available both inside and outside on a covered patio. We had a bit of a larger group, and there were three infants with us all with strollers. Our table (and the restaurant in general, was not stroller friendly in terms of space available but we made it work. The service was great, our waiter was extremely friendly and was able to answer any questions we had regarding the menu. Our food came out quickly and all made to order. The food is where I feel like it missed the spot, maybe we just ordered the wrong things but we weren't extremely impressed. I felt like for the price of the items, we should have been blown away but it truthfully wasn't anything special. We had ordered the bread and zucchini fries as appetizers and they were both okay. I got a salad and my husband got the lasagna. As a main course I was shocked with how small the salad was. Others at the table ordered salads and we all got chicken on it. The chicken amount for each salad was very inconsistent. My husband husband commented on how the lasagna was "just okay" and left more to be desired. Again the portioning was small and the taste just wasn't there for us. I do want to come back and try it again as we have heard such great things about Bar Italia and do really want to love it! Entrees include a Chicken Limone dish that was crispy, lemony and well balanced with just the right amount of pasta and arugula. We also had a pizza, half margarita and half pepperoni. Thin crust, just like my lunchmate likes it. I opted for the Italian wedding soup with crusty bread. The bread was actually the stand out on this entrée. I was a little disappointed in the fact that everything that I wanted on the menu had something spicy attached to it, and there was nothing they could do to remove the peppers. That's the only reason I went with the soup. I probably would not recommend that entrée. It was a little bit watered down, but had plenty of vegetables. I love Bar Italia. The ambiance has an obvious New York style and the bar doubles as an inside and outside bar. This time I had server, Maddie, who was excellent. She was really sweet and attentive. I am absolutely loving the new WPV. This has been my first time visiting this area as I had left Orlando prior to the renovations. This is the second I've been, I enjoy the food. I'm a fan of the zucchini fries and the lemon aioli it comes with. Today I tried the Hot beef sandwich, made with braised short rib, and a horseradish aioli spread that fully compliments the sandwich and an au jus for dipping. The bread it came on was good but on a thicker side so slightly takes away from the sandwich but overall it was good. The house fried chips are good too. We visited bar italia on a Sunday afternoon. We had been looking for breakfast, but unfortunately we forgot it was Father's Day so we were desperate and they took us in. The inside of this place is pretty nice, their design looks intentional and the seating is comfy. To drink, I got an aperol spritz and my companion got a limoncello margarita. Both drinks were good, the margarita was definitely a generous pour. To eat, I got the short rib garganelli and my companion got the snapper picatta. We were underwhelmed by the portion size on both of them. The garganelli was mostly butter/sauce with some pasta, mushrooms, and a liiiiittle bit of short rib mixed in. The pasta is made in house, and the texture was lovely, but I really wish it had had more short rib. The sauce was good when I used the bread to soak it up. My companion's serving was also a little small. The fillet wasn't quite big enough to fill someone up, but it was very crispy and well executed flavor wise. I think that bar italia is an awesome spot for drinks and maybe appetizers, but I wouldn't recommend this place for a meal. We both left not quite as full as we wanted to be for the price. I'd definitely go back to the bar for a drink, but I'll pass on the pasta next time. read more

The space is fairly loud but not so loud that you can't hear the people you are with. I recommend the Chicken Parm or Spicy Tricolore Pizza.
